Would love to see a system similar to MTG in this regard. Maybe make exchange tokens of different rarity obtainable through free pass(could replace card packs, or trade tokens), events, maybe quests too along with crafting gens.
Once obtained could only be used to exchange for a card you don't have. Exchanged via putting cards in you don't have while building a deck.

They would be limited, it's not you'd be able to just make a whole deck of meta cards in a week, or a month even for that matter.. but when you need that stupidly rare limpic and such they would come in handy after you've already tried for a week to find 1 card.
