im trying to comb shields so i can get max res, phy red and life, i try to comb 2 magics each with life and one with res and the other with phys red, but only ever get a rare with 2 mods back

when I craft an item I start fresh with lots of bases and craft them with only 1 mod

i keep slaping them with 1mod+1mod until they combine,
after i got 2x mod bases, i slam them for 3/4 mods, but it's about 30% chance to win and you can also get 1 mod back

keep doing it and combining them until you get to 3 mod items and slam them, high possibility to get 5 mods and you're done

I'm in two other servers that have completely replicated what TFT was, complete with vouch system, and there's no fundamental difference. What used to be a monopoly is now become a framented memory. Because it makes mirrors worthless. It turns them into a stupidly rare "bragging" charm.

Right now their only purpose is to condense divs for stash space. There is 0 reason to mirror an item when you can lock/sanctify for a far superior item (typically wep/amulet).

+skills is such a totally busted affix on gear that no amount of other stats come even close to how valuable it is.

If you hit a +5 all spells (wand) or (+7 staff) you almost automatically make the mirror back and then some. Assuming rest of stats are good and not bricked.

Yeah. There is one corruption that gives +1 to level of all corrupted skills... Need to retool all my skill gems for that one.

Kind of like how divs are kind of "useless" to physically use. Their primary purpose is simply trade. Like I know you can div an item to make it better, which gives them some purpose. But you're using omens and desecration far more than divs any day.

There's no crafting bench sink for endgame currency so it becomes useless and hoarded by top-end players

Even that doesn't compare to sanctification, which can give you the +1 (even though mathematically it shouldnt) AND increase your other affixes if you get the right luck/roll.

The general 'crafting problem with poe2 is how narrow it is. Every martial weapon is essentially the same. Every caster weapon is the same. Every piece of armour is the same. There's no diversity. There's no build diversity AND no affix diversity.

Poe1 has a tremendous amount of affixes on gear. And influenced gear on top of that. Coupled with the different types of builds and the way they make changes that make new builds viable keeps everything new and fresh, in a sense.

Poe2 just isn't there yet.

Ilvl 81 cannot roll t1 %phys. So you'd have to settle on t2. Other than that it's just a crapshoot.

I would annul down to 1 mod and crit chance and chaos spam for t2 %phys
Then p.ex and try again from there.

This is a very tough craft. Even more on an i81 base.

There are too many unwanted mods that are higher than t2 %phys and it makes it very difficult given the rarity of hitting %phys in the first place.

The best option would be to find an i82 base and go from there. I'm not sure and i81 exceptional base can even compare to an 82 with t1 %phys

5. slam 2 random, essence shuffle

If your body armour is 2k, you will literally be getting SO much more ES from the body armour mod than the generic ES mods

since it's a synth base I can't really risk recombs here and also can't just eldritch exalt/annul spam. I'd also like to keep the block prefixes, so I'm not sure what my options are outside lock prefixes and pray with reforge or something

alternatively would it be better to just scour, get spell block prefix on a magic base, and then go with imprints?

All-in-all it's an okay attempt. A lot of the guides are trash though. Most have bad info or rely on "slam and pray" which aren't actual guides. There's even some mentions of currency not in this game.

the thing is. there aren't "recipes" and pretty much all crafting is the same or similar. Jewelery would be the only different methodology of crafting, but again, it depends on what you're trying to target for affixes.

the whole ideal of using an alchemy and hoping for your stats, or use an exalt and hope for spirit is just bad suggestions. there's no alternatives to what to do if you miss the craft and some of the steps just aren't very cost-worthy or correct.

Bit late this league but next league the general rule is absolutely anything will sell as long as you know what you are selling, if you find a niche you can make hella money or if you craft top tier items early you can snowball wealth too

Generally rings early, +3 amulets too

Mid game amulets and weapons will be good profit crafts

Weapon craft market get really saturated fast though once everyone gets there, people spam it and nothing sells

Amulets will be ur best bet

Plus mid amulets are super consistent to craft, with good ones being difficult but worth loads

Timelosts/jewels are also pretty low barrier to entry gamba crafts for hella profit

There are no guides because it's all trade secret. If I tell you how I do it, it takes away from my profit.

In general you have to chase and anticipate the meta. Weapons are big for the first 3 weeks or so because everyone wants one, but then they become extremely diluted. Amulets and rings are another big one to sell. Rings quickly become flooded too though being as easy as they are.

Greater annul omen is also not available. Other than that craft of exile is pretty reliable. Some of the stuff is different on Coe versus in-game but it's still the same.

I don't think this leagues incursion currency is on coe. Some of it affects uniques but there's no real crafting on rares.

Omen of greater annulment - removes 2 modifiers per 1 annulment orb was removed along with homogenizing omens.

They removed vertebrae on waystones. But other than that no. Abyss crafting was not touched

Mid-late league, they fixed amanamu void mechanics that ppl were abusing for lots of abyss currency

start with an ilvl 75 glove (NO HIGHER)
(optional) if you're willing to settle, you can use a greater essence of ruin or grounding to get one of the resistances for cheap
fracture max life on the gloves
whittle and exalt spam on prefixes until you get two damage-to-attacks mods, which is guaranteed eventually if you throw enough money at it
for suffixes ideally you start with a magic base that has either lightning or chaos res and you use the essence i mentioned above so they're already done. otherwise you're in for more whittling with a chance of brick.

it's almost the end of the league so it's at the highest point of inflation, in a league that already had record-high inflation rate because of the league mechanic

start with magic spear that already has t1 inc% phys and desired crit chance
greater essence of abrasion to turn it rare
desecrate with omen of dextral necromancy
fracturing orb to hit crit chance (if you miss it's not completely over but you're now gambling in later steps which might brick. 1/3 to hit)

perfect essence of abrasian with omen of dextral crystallization
slam 2 exalts (should be cheaper than doing greater exaltation omen but check prices)
perfect essence of haste and battle on repeat until you hit

right now is a terrible time for a poe1 vacationer to come to poe2 because this league's league mechanic royally (haha, get it. cuz of atziri) fucked the economy

the meta farming strat revolves around setting up a giga-temple via the league mechanic and then farming that.

it is unlikely you will have the time to even set up the temple before the league is wiped, let alone farm it enough to benefit from it

unfortunately the history of poe2's meta farming strats has been marred by imbalanced league mechanics

0.4 (current) was the worst but it's not like 0.3 (abyss) wasn't also giga skewed in favour of just farming the abysses

as such i cannot give you any meaningful advisory on how to make money that will still be relevant in 0.5

i would encourage you to just do your best to familiarize yourself with the existing systems in the game and be ready to flex your strategy and/or build depending on what the 0.5 patchnotes bring

there are a bunch of “failed” fractures on t3 crit for only a few divs, you can buy those, annul them down, and chaos spam for t4 or better %phys, and then continue the craft as yamanoki described

you will lose out on the guaranteed flat phys but it’s fine

if you're willing to settle-craft in that way, you can use omens of dextral exaltation to ensure the exalt slams are suffixes, so that you stay with an open prefix on the final product

that way you can desecrate a prefix to try to hit flat phys from the desecration

i don't know why ppl constantly consider the economy "fucked" because there's suddenly an abundance of divines.

Economy is already fucked because of greedy ppl at the top charging an exorbent amount for trash items, which drives price of everything else up.

With no currency dump at end game level, economy is stagnant and inflates constantly rather than stabilizes. Yes temple made things more expensive, but it also kept trading ratios constant for a long time rather than inflating prices.

I do concede that endgame gear was stupidly expensive, but for the most part, currency, and content was easy to come by.

Not like 0.1-0.3 where you had to play as a 2nd job just to afford enough for tablets.

Same applies to magic being annulled down to 0. It stays magic.

craftofexile appears to convey there's an Amanamu suffix mod for sceptres, but omen of the liege is not gauranteeing any amanamu mods when used with a descreated suffix 🤨

This season and 0.5 I want to craft tier 1 wand,bow,crossbow ans other, to tier 1 high dps gear. Is it possible to anul rare or magic to 1 prefix or blank and craft. ?

Yes. Two major crafting techniques:

1. Perfect orb of augmentation/annul until t1 affix of choice. (Can only be done on magic (blue) items)
2. Fracture desired affix, annul down to 1 other mod and chaos spam for 2nd desired mod.

You CANNOT revert the tiers however, like you can in poe1. Once an item upgrades to magic or rare, it stays that way.

The absolute best gear will be exceptional gear with +1 socket which only drops as white. After that, getting the proper ilvl for affixes is the goal.

But you will more often have better luck starting with blue. But trans and augs are cheap enough you can start with white gear.
