I think there's not an "official stance" at all. Jen crashed out, beefed with the old team, canned them, and decided he wants the server to persist so found some people motivated to making it so.

And then also put a 4x4 stash or whatever to put any tips or anything else you wanna leave in the hideout owner's stash
