Hi everyone.. I really need help... I'm trying to make a visual novel in Ren'Py, but I have NO idea what I'm doing.. I’ve watched tutorials, but they just go over my head, and I feel so lost.. I don’t even know where to start with the script or coding.. I really want to make this work, but I feel so dumb rn.. Can someone please explain it to me like I’m five? I’d be super gratefulㅠㅠ

TBF it matters on your goal. if you just want to create a visual novel, there are way better tools, where you dont need to code as much.
Only if you want some super special stuff and logics you need some better engine or maybe write with a coding language.
But visual novels are simple. basically they are just menus & videos & sound^^

but check for a sale of it. It should simple be usable like RPG Maker and dont need coding for real. more a drag& drop system for creating your pathes and such.

And if none of this 2 matches, you most likely need to do stuff with Ren'Py 😄
Therefore u need to understand simple concepts of programming (based on your learn curve, it could take 1 week to 2-3 month to learn it properly)
