Why isn't Visual Studio Code working properly?

I'm a beginner and I'm using Visual Studio Code, but every day I want to quit more and more. The program often doesn't work (I need to turn it off and on, otherwise I get errors). Does anyone know why this is happening? Is it something related to iOS? I don't know what to do or what I can use instead of VS Code.
