Yeah, I already know you guys heard this topic hundreds of times.
I currently work in Helpdesk/Service Desk IT, have 4+ years of experience in this field.
I have a lot of time due to the type of work that I do.
Past few months I got big interest in AI. Mostly using them to create memes.
But I think it is time for me to try to shift my career in IT in general.
Where should I start if potentialy I would like to work on AI?
Maybe not develop one but who knows.
Any help/suggestions are much appreciated.
If anyone has the same struggle i would be happy to learn in group or with someone.
I have C++ role due to the fact that in school C++ was the language that i enjoyed the most (don't know shit at this point, it's been like 6 years since i touched code) no idea if C++ is relevant in AI field.

If you want to work on AI, you're going to need to know discrete maths, linear algebra, and strong algorithm skills
C++ is relevant for AI but it's not the most popular language used
Soooo in short i should abandon that idea?
Since i think learning discrete maths, linear algebra would take me enough to retire
Because on the other hand I would still like to learn around AI.
For ex codeacademy courses such as those wouldn't help me build the basics?
If I'm not mistaken those courses include various math lessons
Well then im screwd
I mean I am eager to learn, really.
Maybe other language? As I said earlier i had fun with c++ in school.
I guess that would be potentialy an easier start to later on think about AI?
Im just trying to find a starting point, not trying to skip through.
Just something that will hook me up to programming in general, whatever that might be
Fck that I'll start those courses, let's see what happens
If you're passionate about it then no
Do you think those codeacademy courses would be a good place to start with?
I'm not sure as I've never explored them before.from what I know of online courses, they typically only teach surface level stuff
Shouldn't it be the start? Like basic surface stuff?
But you can do free ones
Do you have any examples?
