#

Great to see that you guys have filled up with new stuff... I've fixed all the cards for the new stuff, here it is... Have I missed something???

#

I've done some adjustments to the STATS for some cards you also discussed to be changed... Better or need more adjustments???

#

Getting to look better and better all the time... Anyone is free to suggest more equipment cards (pictures appreciated) or suggetions of changing STATS of existing cards...

You can find all the new and updated cards at the link below...

#

I agree that it might be a good idea to make a new organization format for all the cards... Your suggestion look good, perhaps something like this:

WeaponCard1_HANDGUN
WeaponCard2_SMG
WeaponCard3_SHOTGUN
WeaponCard4_RIFLE
WeaponCard5_FIRE
WeaponCard6_SNIPER
WeaponCard7_EXPLOSIVE
WeaponCard8_HEAVY
WeaponCard9_MELEE

I could fix it if you all think it's a good idea or have some more categories??

For the equipment cards I'm not sure if we should have categories...

#

Hey! I can't really share card templets due to they are Photoshop templets. But I can share BLANK JPG cards...
There are TONS of BLANK cards according what information you need on the cards (Armor, Air, Power, Supply etc etc.)...

So, what kind of blank cards are you looking for? Weapons? Equipment? or?

#

Ok, we have done 362 cards now (138 Weapons and 224 Equipment cards)... Looking nice, need 38 more to make it an even 400 ๐Ÿค“

#

Great work guys!

sleek oxide
#

Coming in early and hot!

buoyant horizon
#

Yes, I'm hot (was a crazy project - around the clock work)... Now I must continue with the Coriolis project ๐Ÿค“

sleek oxide
buoyant horizon
#

True, might be best with no categorises in the general "Equipment"...

#

But, weapons might need a tweek....

sleek oxide
#

Agree. I'm going to match my list to yours (It's already 90% there)

heavy lotus
#

I attempted to categorize in my own spreadsheet. Some do straddle for sure

buoyant horizon
#

Oh yeah, check the STATS of the new cards... I just guessed and improvised the STATS, might be a bit weird....

weary crown
buoyant horizon
#

I see that the user @hushed cosmos and many others have added some more equipment and weapons in the #alien-arts-and-crafts .... Perhaps there are more nice stuff too add??? Will take a look...

heavy lotus
#

but I also tried sticking with only things in the RPG materials too

sleek oxide
#

Things were really hopping, gear-wise, naturally while you were occupied elsewhere. I saw a lot of neat stuff in there and some coolconversations were had about the gear present in games apart from AFE and Isolation.

buoyant horizon
heavy lotus
#

I was going through my own list trying to see if there was another I had that wasn't included. You priced a cylinder way cheaper than I did!

sleek oxide
#

I have begun to suspect I underpriced it too, given the lengths the (annoying colony kids) go to in Romulus to steal some. What did you price yours at @heavy lotus?

heavy lotus
#

I tagged it at 10K

#

I could consider it less, since at least some of the struggle for the Romulus colony kids was because it's "highly regulated"

#

But I probably still wouldn't go any lower than, say, 1K

#

For comparison, the NeuroVisor is 10K

sleek oxide
#

1K is about where I was thinking too. Well within the means of any corporation, but expensive AF for private parties and contract jobbers

#

Thanks for the feedback, suggestion adopted

heavy lotus
#

I'll readjust my own to 1K

heavy lotus
#

Apologies if these were already covered, but here's some stuff I think I have on my list that might not be covered already:
Hand Radio - $30 - 1/4 weight - Can be used to attempt limited 2-way comms (among other places, it seems common gear for pilots)
Chil-X - $40 - N/A Weight - Reduces accumulated NDD effects rolled by 1
NeuroTic - $100 - N/A weight - Removes one NDD effect from PC when taken
Leather briefcase - $1000 - Increases carrying capacity by 1 with gear under 1. +1 Manipulation rolls in relevant situations (it's a potential starting gear for company agent)
Digital video camera - $800 - weight 1 - Record video to play back on other devices, including the Modular Computing Device. (potential starting gear for Scientist. I envision it as the bulky camcorder brought in at the end of Alien 3, and could record in "3D" for holographic projection
Fire extinguisher - $50 - range A/S - weight 1 - Put out non-QTC fires. Enough for one zone.

#

I suspect at least some were already covered but only as an image and thus not easily searchable

buoyant horizon
buoyant horizon
#

Need to find pictures...

sleek oxide
#

Fire Extinguisher exists already, and Mentorian is right there are a number of comm units already. I'll try to link them here and then Guy you decide if we need another

buoyant horizon
#

Here is a leather briefcase... I put $800 due to the EXECUTIVE HARD CASE is $1000... Or should we raise the price for that one???

#

Here is the CHIL-X drug... Pic ok? or find a new one?

heavy lotus
# sleek oxide

the Seegson comlink one is what I presume a "hand radio" would be in the contexts I saw

heavy lotus
heavy lotus
buoyant horizon
#

Here is the DRUG NEUROTIC ๐Ÿ˜

#

Add "Enough for one zone" to the fire extinguisher??? And raise the price???

#

Any more suggestions?

heavy lotus
buoyant horizon
#

Ok, I updated the new cards to the download link... And also updated the Collection PDF (I put them at the bottom for now... Will fix it in alphabetical order later)... ๐Ÿ˜œ

#

I put $2500 on the "CRYO FUEL CYLINDER"...

sleek oxide
#

After some consideration, I'm quite happy with that price point. It puts interstellar travel back into the "requires corporate sponsorship " territory even if someone obtained a ship somehow.

sleek oxide
#

Mentorian, if you're okay with it I'd like to post a few cards here which I believe may need corrections. It's possible that I have older versions of these cards so if I post one and the mistake is mine, please let me know.

#

Per my copy of the EE core rulebook, this should also have the 'unreliable' Special

#

I cannot find an EE card for the PPZ-49 VOL (Aliens Fireteam Elite) SMG (only a 1E card)

#

I'm unable to find either the Weyland 72A Light Energy Weapon or UA-102-20 Particle Beam Phalanx from CMOM. I had proposed a LEW above, let me know how you feel about it (Lurker said they were iffy on it, I get that)

Weyland 72A Light Energy Weapon
Modifier +1
Damage 6
Range M/E
Ammo SS
Weight 3
Cost $10,500
Special: Armor piercing, single shot, damage reduced by 1 for each zone

#

I suspect the Phalanx is going to be a nightmare to design. Even the stat block and flavor text from CMOM (not to mention its refence in the CTOM) are ... rough

#

I need to incorporate all of the new cards you made after coming back from your big project, so that's it for this morning. Thank you!!!

buoyant horizon
#

Ok, good spotting on the "Unreliable"! It's fixed now...

buoyant horizon
#

We do have the "PPZ-49 VOL"! See, here it is... It's in the catalogue...

buoyant horizon
#

Ok, here is the "Weyland 72A Light Energy Weapon" card. As Lurker01 says it a little iffy, but we should add it for now until we can find a better picture...

Also: "Single shot"??? How is that supposed to work??? Or, I'm I missing something???

The "Phalanx" is a hard one... Have no idea how we can find that...

sleek oxide
#

You're the champ! Thank you

#

I suspect it uses a full power cell per shot?

#

Damage 6, it's got to hit like a flipping truck.

naive turret
#

The 72A loses a point of damage for each range beyond short and like the PIG can fire only every other round. Cool down cycle. Must be aimed.

#

Do we have the 4C2 Astra from AFE?

buoyant horizon
#

Ok, I should change to that instead, W8... Yeah, we have the "4C2 Astra"...

#

Fixed to "every other round fire"....

#

Should the range be changed to Short "S/E" like the "M78 PIG"... so they get the same reduction for each zone???

#

Fixed... forgot "Must be aimed"....

sleek oxide
#

I concur that the LEW should be S/E to make it comparable to the PIG

buoyant horizon
#

Ok, will fix...W8

sleek oxide
#

You are the GOAT. Mil gracias

buoyant horizon
#

๐Ÿฅณ

#

The "Collection PDF" and download link is updated...

heavy lotus
#

The last link you posted claims it's in your trash?

buoyant horizon
#

Oh!

#

will fix

buoyant horizon
heavy lotus
#

looks good now

sleek oxide
#

Can/should we add "Command +1 where applicable" to this gem?

buoyant horizon
#

Good idea! Fixed ๐Ÿค“

sleek oxide
#

Note: Mobility -3 dice, sound good?

#

I did a quick scan of the EE core rulebook and tons of colonists and NPCs start with Mobility 2, I figured -3 is a decent penalty to start off

#

If yes, maybe set these at Mobility -2 dice?

buoyant horizon
#

Sure, sounds good... Text ok?

#

Files and Links updated...

heavy lotus
#

Mentorian continuing to be the GOAT

buoyant horizon
#

Something like this??? Need to tweek the STATS... What do you think about the picture???

#

The UA 102-20 Independently Targeting Particle Beam Phalanx was a vehicle combat-scale close-in weapons system (CIWS) used by the United States Colonial Marine Corps. It was capable of either being mounted on a vehicle or used independently. Though primarily a defensive weapon, it could also be effectively used for offensive purposes.

heavy lotus
#

Looks too much like a mini gun but getting more accurate art seems rather difficult

buoyant horizon
buoyant horizon
#

Hmm, another version ๐Ÿค” Hmmm....

heavy lotus
#

It seems better at least in that it's not showing the front that might make it look more like a minigun like the last one

sleek oxide
#

You know what? I'll take it. We have virtually no idea what it was intended to look like, I swear the description in CTOM made it sound like an area support weapon that was placed all over like fishing tip ups. I think your version is plausible and certainly makes more sense. I could see Hudson swinging one around in training like a giant penis and getting chewed out by Apone for it.

#

Also, I know for a fact the minute the marines in my campaign game see this card they're going to volunteer for whatever mission the Colonel assigns them, if they get one of these bad boys.

heavy lotus
#

yeah, I'd say it's a good enough pick

buoyant horizon
#

Probably need to pump up the price though....

heavy lotus
#

Not necessarily. I'd stick with official RPG prices if provided regardless

buoyant horizon
#

What does it say there?

heavy lotus
#

hrm... maybe it doesn't. Or maybe it's way more expensive than I recalled. One moment

#

from CMOM page 72

#

25K

#

I was confused why it wasn't in my gear list but then recalled I specifically left it off because the book clearly states you can't just buy one

sleek oxide
#

"It's a legitimate salvage"

heavy lotus
#

still useful to have a card for it of course

#

my own list was made in part for PCs to potentially "shop" with

buoyant horizon
#

Ok, fixed the STATS... Thanks @heavy lotus

#

We go with this for now... Let's see what @naive turret says...

heavy lotus
#

Broader question: has the list been keeping with 1E stats or have attempts been made to rebalance for EE?

buoyant horizon
#

I think it's a mix ... Some might need to be tweaked for EE... Have they removed the +1 armor for shotguns??? Or?

heavy lotus
#

The final EE version removed armor doubling type stuff which seems odd to me

buoyant horizon
#

And they added +1 armor instead???

heavy lotus
#

I think in an earlier EE draft theu did but removed it in the final, which again I don't get

#

the +1 seemed a reasonable adaptation to me

buoyant horizon
#

Hm, that is weird indeed... That will make shotguns VERY good??? Hmm

heavy lotus
#

indeed

naive turret
#

Particle beam phalanx. Deployable, not man portable.

#

Shotguns are now more effective than a .357 magnum.

buoyant horizon
#

weird with the shotguns... They have quite high stats... hmmm

naive turret
#

They had to rework the weapons because of the way armour is now a set number. If its not armour piercing then it does one more point of damage than it did in 1e or it no longer suffers the armour doubled effect. I don't like it. The idea that a 9mm pistol will do the same damage to an unarmoured target as a pulse rifle doesn't feel right.

heavy lotus
#

That doesn't bother me so much but I think they should have left in the +1 to armor for stuff like shotguns

naive turret
#

I agree.

buoyant horizon
#

Ok... "It was capable of either being mounted on a vehicle or used independently"... Should we add "automation range combat 8" like the Sentry Gun???

naive turret
buoyant horizon
#

Ok, 10 it is... The weight 8 good?

naive turret
#

Yeah. Takes a bloke in a powerloader or a team of four to set up.

buoyant horizon
#

True, true ๐Ÿค“

#

brighten up the pic some more...

sleek oxide
#

So it's like a super Sentry Gun when it's field deployed. Interesting

buoyant horizon
#

Yeah, it's in "Dark descent" game... Can also be seen on top of the APC... Didn't know that was the Phalanx...

naive turret
#

Except it requires a really big power source to use effectively.

buoyant horizon
#

Thats true... I put "Power 4" which is when it's detached from a power source... Is that too much???

naive turret
#

Say 2? Good enough for a couple of shots only unless its hooked up to an external source.

buoyant horizon
#

They do though fire like crazy in "Dark descent"...

#

Ok, "Collection PDF" and download links updated...

#

Anyone has something else???

sleek oxide
#

Request, please, I love the man-portable version you made and intend to have it as a vehicle mounted or man-portable "particle beam minigun" type of weapon. Would you please replace the name on this card with the name "UA M84 Particle Pulse Cannon"? and perhaps replace the "big power pack" with "heavy battery pack" as you already have a gear card for that ๐Ÿ™‚ $25,000 is good too, if possible.

buoyant horizon
sleek oxide
#

I think the world is big enough to have the community-sourced UA-102-20 as well as the unintended gem of the UA M84 PPC

buoyant horizon
sleek oxide
#

I loved everything in your version, the +1 bonus, 5 damage, range, power, weight (maybe cost $25k though), and just wanted to swap in a different name and nudge the huge power pack to an item you already had a card for (heavy battery pack)

#

Then I can keep the UA 102-20 you and Lurker et al developed for the gun that is mounted to the APC (but can be field deployed) and also have a kick-ass gatling laser too

buoyant horizon
#

So, you think I should remove "Full-auto or focused attack with increased damage and range" and just put damage 5? right?

sleek oxide
#

For the UA M84 Particle Pulse Cannon, yes please. Special should just read "Full auto, armor piercing, must be aimed, need heavy battery pack if detached from vehicle"

buoyant horizon
#

Ok, like this? ๐Ÿ˜‹

sleek oxide
#

You're the best, thank you so much

buoyant horizon
#

It's nice ๐Ÿ˜œ No problems, I like to fiddle around with stuff like this ๐Ÿค“

#

It's fun...

sleek oxide
#

Well, and with the whole group piling in we solved the problem of not having a gear card for the "real" Phalanx which has been waiting for its day in the proverbial sun since launch. ๐Ÿ™‚

buoyant horizon
sleek oxide
#

You remain the GOAT, this project has gone so much further than anything I found for 1E and has had a lasting and positive effect on my games. Thank you to you and the rest of the folks joining in to make this happen

buoyant horizon
#

๐Ÿฅณ

#

I haven't had the chance yet too use the new cards... We are busy in our games... but in the future they will be handy ๐Ÿ˜‹

#

The Collection PDF and links updated....

#

Oh, should the "UA M84 Particle Pulse Cannon" have the Range L/E??? Or S/L?

buoyant horizon
#

@sleek oxide what range stat?

buoyant horizon
sleek oxide
#

I'm happy with it as you had it, no changes needed

buoyant horizon
#

Long/Extreme?

heavy lotus
buoyant horizon
#

That will be -4 to ranged combat if fires in short range....

heavy lotus
#

Is EE's range rule -2 per zone out of range, or just -2 for the next range option and t hen unable to do zone ranges outside that?

#

nevermind, answered my own question

#

it's the former

buoyant horizon
#

I think it's -2 per zone... So -4 in short range and -6 in close combt...

heavy lotus
#

you're right!

#

Clearly I need to re-read things about 50 more times for these sort of things to sink in

buoyant horizon
#

True, I haven't even read the new EE, I just have skimmed through it.... Need to do it soon ๐Ÿค“

heavy lotus
#

From my understanding, it was best to wait until the finished version anyway as I got the impression there were a lot of changes between the revisions

buoyant horizon
#

So, I'm very rusty...

heavy lotus
#

I only followed it myself late into the process

#

I'm convinced that some "changes" were actually errata or oversights

buoyant horizon
#

Yeah, I only skimmed the BETA 2... So, I have missed the skipping the "+1 armor" on shotguns etc etc...

#

So, you think we should keep the "+1 armor" on the shotgun cards?... I think I agree... Hmmm

heavy lotus
#

I mean I intend to do so in my own games. Depends I suppose on if you'd prefer the resource to stick more with RAW or not

#

I could see an argument made either way

buoyant horizon
#

Yeah... Hmm, will think about it...

naive turret
#

Side note. Particle beams are anti ship / vehicle weapons and inflict component damage rather than taking physical chunks off of things, at least according to the CRB.

buoyant horizon
buoyant horizon
#

Also, the wiki says "close-in weapon system" , but we have range L/E?

naive turret
#

They're giant batteries right? Maybe it fries them? Video games.๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

buoyant horizon
naive turret
#

As a CWIS it's designed to bring down incoming missiles. It does this by frying their circuits.

buoyant horizon
#

Also says" wide defensive range", hmm

naive turret
#

I should probably double check CMOM.

buoyant horizon
#

This is the text:

#

Well, the card is fine I think... perhaps leave it unchanged...

buoyant horizon
#

I like the rear interface computer... Hmm

#

Hmm, perhaps to crammed?

sleek oxide
#

You have a few other cards with "variants", same text and stat but slightly different images. Perhaps this could be one such card? I think you may be right and having two turrets might make the card too crowded, but the computer interface is also nice!

buoyant horizon
sleek oxide
#

Unless/until you start adding in the vehicles/robotic dogs/vehicle weapons and other ultra-complex gear, the good news is you have covered almost all that there is to cover. I mean, you have done a body of work already! However, barring wholly new items, here are the few items left that do not have cards yet:
KIP Baton Rounds
Piezoelectric Ammo
U-238 "Dirty" Ammo
Unarmed Attack
Surgical Scalpel (included in the Surgical Kit, but as a melee weapon)
Omni-tech EL7-HXC Land Hex Capsule
Omni-tech Sonic Deterrent Defense Grid
Sunspot Dynamics QADs 1 through 4 (robot dogs)
Artificial Intelligence systems (APOLLO, MU/TH/ER variants 6000-9000)
Recreational Drugs

FWIW, I'm not sure that we need cards for any of these except maybe the Scalpel and Recreational Drugs

#

Surgical Scalpel
Modifier 0
Damage 2
Range A/A
Weight 0
Cost $0 (included in Surgical Kit)
Special: Armor Rating +1

#

Unarmed Attack
Modifier 0
Damage 1
Range A/A
Weight 0
Cost $0
Special: Armor Rating +1, cannot block weapon or xenomorph attacks

#

Recreational Drugs
Weight 0
Cost Varies (we could elect to go for a $10 price just as a guess)
Effects: Varies (we could probably summarize them to be Stress -1, Wits -1 for the next Stretch)

buoyant horizon
#

Oh! Nice ideas... Will take a closer look, thx

sleek oxide
#

If we want to codify Recreational Drugs, my inclination is to copy https://avp.fandom.com/wiki/Benzodiazepines

(which was what I was thinking of when suggesting the parenthetical stats in the first post)

Xenopedia

Benzodiazepines were among drugs approved for use by corporate physicians, alongside cannabis, methylenedioxymethamphetamine, certain steroids, and tobacco. Alien: The Roleplaying Game (mentioned...

buoyant horizon
#

Cool, that we could use

#

Hard to find a good picture for the laser scalpel... will search more

sleek oxide
#

I'm going to see if I can get a composite image. first few attempts looked like vibrators ๐Ÿ˜ข

#

About a half-dozen iterations of ding dongs later, we're starting to get something useful. If we are good with duplicating Ash's laser scalpel (and the laser scalpel from Prometheus) I recommend we drop the Armor Rating +1 and replace it with Armor Piercing instead. I suspect that the Surgical Kit weapon stats never anticipated a laser scalpel

#

So, if accepted, we might use:
Laser Scalpel
Modifier 0
Damage 2
Range A/A
Power 3
Weight 1/4
Cost $0
Special: Comes with Surgical Kit, armor piercing

buoyant horizon
#

Nice, we go with that one...

#

Fixed it uo a bit... better?

sleek oxide
#

better! thank you

#

To me, the best part is drawing from the original Alien movie and statting up an item all the fans will remember โค๏ธ

buoyant horizon
#

Yeah, true.. more fun if you recognise things from the movies....

#

Ok, laser scalpel done... Do a standard scalpel too?

#

I put -1 Modifier... 0 is too generous ...

sleek oxide
#

makes sense, they are definitely not designed for use in combat

buoyant horizon
#

Oh, forgot to fix the weight... done...

sleek oxide
#

Great work as always!

buoyant horizon
#

Here is a normal scalpel too...

sleek oxide
#

I'd make the regular scalpel Armor Rating +1, the blade is not designed for hitting hard material like the laser scalpel is

#

and I'd make its weight 0

buoyant horizon
sleek oxide
#

Brilliant!

buoyant horizon
#

How about these armor outfits? Anything we can use???

#

STATS? and special text?

#

@naive turret You will know.... ๐Ÿ˜†

#

Some night vision goggles???

buoyant horizon
#

Some more drugs...

#

Need to take a nap... back later...

sleek oxide
#

I have two special requests (for whenever you get back, no rush) if you'd be so kind. To the best of my knowledge, these are the last two cards that I had in my old format

#1

Prototype Plasma Cutter
Modifier 0
Damage 4
Range A/A
Power 1
Weight 1
Cost $1,000
Special: Armor piercing, Power Supply 1, Prototype

#

#2

Loxy-Clav M Anti-Anxiety
Uses: Single Use
Cost $20
Weight -
Alias: Maze
Notes: Links melatonin production to cortisol production to regulate emotional responses. Reduce the effects of Stress, Panic, and NDD (pg 109) results by 1 for the next Shift. Max dose of 2/shift.

buoyant horizon
#

Ok, here comes those cards...

#

Use the above Armors? Suggestions?

buoyant horizon
naive turret
#

I'm still thinking.

naive turret
#

Sorry mate. Came down ill. Brain not firing.

buoyant horizon
naive turret
#

Ok, quick question - Would a 7 round .357 revolver get a special rule?

#

Theres new stuff in Alien: Cult that I would like to add in the future. Gear and guns.

buoyant horizon
naive turret
#

Something to mull over while I recover. Good book if you get the opportunity.

buoyant horizon
buoyant horizon
naive turret
#

Hancock .357 7 shot revolver. Reliable, accurate stopping power for your frontier marshals. Special: Bonus Round - When you roll a panic1 on the supply die you may fire once more before you must reload.

#

Whats the story with the Armours? Obviously I know the RMC one, but what are the others?

buoyant horizon
#

I think this one is the "M4X Armor"... The others in not so sure, mercenary armors?

#

Here is the revolver... Need to change the text? You want the 7 rounds text in there?

heavy lotus
#

I thought the MAX armor was supposed to be more power armor like?

buoyant horizon
#

I'm just guessing, lol

heavy lotus
#

Fair

buoyant horizon
#

I put it in the name? or should it be in the special text?

naive turret
#

Just lose the brackets. Can you make it $500 and put the modifier up to 2 please.

buoyant horizon
#

Sure... here it is....

naive turret
#

Top notch.

heavy lotus
#

Mentorian is like Mr. Park from A:FE, fabricating all the gear!

buoyant horizon
#

Something like this?

#

What about this?

#

And this one... Just a rough cut...

#

and...

#

Should I zoom in the pictures (and cut of their legs like the other armors pics)??? Or have as it is...

naive turret
#

How about ICSC merc armour? Wey-Yu has enough stuff don't you think?

buoyant horizon
#

Sure, like this?

naive turret
#

First one could be Canadian Colonial Forces - Civil Defence Armour. Make it fire resistant. We already have the M2 Flak Vest

#

I meant the white one as the ICSC armour. That UA ORDF armour was good as it was.

buoyant horizon
#

Ok, will fix

#

Like this? right?

naive turret
#

That looks good.

buoyant horizon
#

I just thought that the WY PMC armor is white, which fitted... But good like this too....

#

true, a bit more variation like this

#

we have 381 cards now ๐Ÿ˜‹

buoyant horizon
#

Oh! how could we forget! Shame on us, lol ๐Ÿ˜†

buoyant horizon
buoyant horizon
#

What do guys think? Should we release all the cards over at the "Alien RPG Facebook page"? Or should we keep it for ourselves?

sleek oxide
#

IMHO, these gear cards are such a net benefit to the community that I think the more people can access them, the better for us all.

buoyant horizon
#

Ok, what do you say @naive turret ? Ok with you too?

buoyant horizon
#

Ok, then I will make a post now...

naive turret
#

Lets share. No problems here.

sleek oxide
#

What do you all think? This is the current Magnetic Tape Cartridge, and here is an image that Nord just shared in alien-art-and-design that looks like it comes from Alien Rogue Excursion. I am sort of blown away at the image, but want to know what everyone thinks.

buoyant horizon
#

I agree! It's a very nice picture. I will exchange it...

naive turret
#

Still going?

buoyant horizon
naive turret
#

Yes.

buoyant horizon
#

Sure... ๐Ÿค“

naive turret
#

I meant to ask, how has it gone down on FB? Any interesting comments?

buoyant horizon
# naive turret I meant to ask, how has it gone down on FB? Any interesting comments?

I did the Facebook post many hours ago, but it hasn't been approved yet ("Awaiting administrator approval"). I guess they are thinking about if they should approve the post or not, it usally doesn't take this much time... It might be too sensitive material that needs a higher up approval, that's why it takes such a long time... We will see what they decide...

naive turret
#

I did wonder. Well, their loss..

buoyant horizon
#

Here is a new card...

sleek oxide
#

You've brought a lot of good to the gaming community with this. Thank you

buoyant horizon
naive turret
#

Take the lions share of the credit. We just do the leg work. Love your commitment.

buoyant horizon
sleek oxide
#

I agree with Lurker, thank you for sharing the spotlight but the real work was all you. We're the Bretts to your Parker. Thank you, Mentorian

heavy lotus
#

Right

sleek oxide
#

Good morning! Credit to Lurker, who dropped a cool looking item in the art channel and I felt like we needed it to exist here too. After looking through Lurker's recommended reading list (Gibson's Alien 3 and Alien Isolation), I was able to find a few images in context and get a better feel for how this may work. It seems to be used as a kind of "swiss army" datapad, allowing standard functions of a Seegson P-DAT datapad but also enables wired connections to other gear and computers as well. Two of the three images I found, it's being used by a loadmaster/dock foreman to check station inventory, bill of lading, log book, ship status, and the like, but one image shows something like diagnostics. We have an equipment "need" somewhere in between the Data Transmitter Card, Seegson P-DAT, Portable Computer, and a Computer Terminal. Lurker didn't set a price point, but I thought that $3,000 might work.

#

Series 2 E-Board - Clipboard-sized, hand-held terminal running among other things, admin and record-keeping software. It has a monochromatic screen with an in-built stylus. The memex is rugged, and it features a data card slot and a spring-loaded jack cable for plugging into any vidfone unit that enables it to access the Network. This is an electronic clipboard (โ€˜e-boardโ€™).
My proposal:
Weyland-Yutani Series 2 E-Board
Power 3
Weight 1
Cost $3,000
Portable computer terminal with modular cable and data ports, allows access to virtually any audio, visual, or computing device or recording. Comtech +2

I have two new drug requests, if you're up for it. While the EE core rulebook has helpful mechanics for removing Rads, it seems to occur by magic without any intervention by an autodoc or pharmaceutical. Which I find, ehhh, out of step with most of the Alien universe. Lacking any other examples in the ARPG, I have leaned back into my true love of Fallout and propose these two new drugs:

Drug - Radiation Prophylaxis

Prairie Salt shotgun rounds inflict 3 damage - Target gets +1 to their armour. If broken by the damage target suffers from the effects of critical injuries 16, 32 or 44 (d3 result 1=16, 2=32, 3=44) - No surgery required but effects last a shift or until first aid is given. I'm toying with 4 damage for the big rifle. Its going to hit harder than a .357. Heavy enough to do some serious damage, as its a big game rifle, the sort of thing you could bring down a stampedeing genetically modified Aberdeen Angus / Scottish Highland cattle hybrid with. Not AP though.
Marlin 12-81 Magnum Rifle.
Modifier 1, Damage 4, Range M/L, Ammo 1, Weight 1, Cost 800. Special - Reduced Capacity - When making your Supply roll you need 3+ rather than 2+ to avoid needing to reload. Reloading the large cartridges is a Full Action rather than a Quick one.

buoyant horizon
#

You mean something like this? Not 100% sure how you mean with the reload, or am I just slow today???

naive turret

Thats fine. Rolling panic1 or "2" on the Ammo Supply dice = Reloading required for this weapon. Roll a 3+ and you're golden for another shot.

#

Hejin-Garcia "Watchkeeper" T2B Shotgun - Modifier +2, Damage 3, Range A/S, Weight 1, Cost 350, Special: May fire twice before reloading or Both Barrels - Pull both triggers and hold tight. Add a panic1 to your pool and hope for the best. The first success1 does Base damage +1 or a Knockdown (Shooters choice). A "Mess Up" puts the shooter on the floor. Either way the weapon must reload before firing again.

naive turret

We need the Explainer sheet. We can just paraphrase then. Henjin-Garica can be shorted to H&G if that helps.๐Ÿ˜œ

Universal Surface Filter Mask - Cheap and effective breathable face covering with integrated goggles that screen airborne particles including snow, dust, ash and exhaust fumes, protecting your vision and your respiratory system from the elements. +2 to SURVIVAL when youโ€™re in a hazardous environment to avoid becoming fatigued. Cost 75, Weight Negligible. Supply Rating 2. Roll supply at the end of every shift. Each panic1 reduces the effectiveness by 1. Spare filters cost 5 and should be replaced regularly.

Stealth Suit - These are military / paramilitary issued dark coloured one piece coveralls, usually hooded and supplied with a face veil. Made of photoreactive material and treated with an infrared absorbing coating, in a low light environment they can make a skilled infiltrator all but invisible to a casual observer (STEALTH +2). As an added bonus the suits are fire retardant (Armour 2 vs Fire). May be worn under light armour (Armour 1) and still be effective - Armour 2 reduces the STEALTH bonus by 1. Restricted Item. Mask and Stealth suit work for me. Extendable shock stick should be Weight 1/2 rather than 1. It takes up less space. Otherwise all good.

heavy lotus
#

I think the only item I could think to suggest at this point is an armor suit liner. Unfortunately, I don't know what a good image would be, but the idea would be that it'd give, like, an armor 1, be 1/4th weight, Observation to notice, and cost a stupid amount of money only well-off Company Agents could (or would want) to get, maybe something like $25K (which also happens to be the price tag of the tenth most expensive suit of 2025)

#

I half-made the item for when I did a Colonial Marine one-shot who were potentially accompanied by a Company Agent, and in the context, felt they should have that option

naive turret
#

The CO2 rods were simply another target/mission item. Fetch and carry to repair the air scrubbers. Weight half and need a dozen to swap out for clean air.

buoyant horizon

Just checking through some of the other cards above I have some suggestions if you don't mind. This one should be damage 3 as a .357. 0 modifier. Limit range to short. Limited capacity special same as the Marlin 12-81. It's a four shot holdout piece, not a main weapon.

This one is a duplicate name wise. We already have the Grach as another pistol. I propose this is the UPP's equivalent of the Gorham Pistol - high powered, AP, difficult control if STR below 3 - reduces modifier from 0 to -1.
So: Podbyrin .363 Danko Magnum. Modifier 0, Damage 3, Range S/L, Ammo 1, Cost 500. Special - Heavy Recoil - see above. Not common outside UPP territory Ammo Cost doubled.

#

There's a project idea for Free League.

buoyant horizon
# naive turret A some point, if we ever get around to finishing the work on Gorham's Folly, I'...

Yeah, I made a huge map for "Gorham's Folly" (also with zoom-in's), but FL have been so very busy they haven't had time to looked at it or decided if they want it or not... If they don't, we can use it for "Gorham"... I'm not so familiar about the lore or what kind of place it is, but I guess it's quite a huge place with 700,000 people. I'm open for any material to continue and putting into the book...

I haven't picked up the "Cult" book yet. Where is the "Steer City" located and how big is it? I heard it was supposed to be quite good?

I'm unsure what kind of collaboration and deal they have with Titan books, and if they can use and develop their material further for the Alien RPG... But it would be cool if they would incorporate it...

naive turret
#

How's the mouth? Cult is probably the best Alien universe book (in my opinion) since Into Charybdis. Lots of Outland vibes with colonial marshals facing off against company corruption. Got a real future Western / space cowboy feel to it. You may have noticed its influenced a lot my recent card ideas. Steer City is the main colony on Terraform 3 (Gamma Leporis 3) in the Tartarus sector.

#

9000 inhabitants by 2186 accounting for 6000 permanent colonists, 2000 or so transient workers and tourists and a marine base, Camp Rodriguez commanded by a ranking colonel.

buoyant horizon
#

I was a bit confused about going to the dentist on a Saturday? But everything was good (just a check up)...
Ok nice, "Cult" sounds cool! Wasn't there a writeup about the Tartarus sector somewhere? Does it include any information about "Steer City"?
I got hundreds of completed maps, but I'm unsure what FL wants for themselves. I could probably find a map that could fit for "Steer City" or make a new one. I though probably needs to wait and see what FL wants first...

heavy lotus
#

hundreds?? ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

buoyant horizon
naive turret
#

LaSalle pretty much run things on the ground, under the control of one of their subsidiary companies - Chisholm Meats. They own the judges, the lawyers and have some of the marshals in their pocket too. Steer City Cattle Co.is their closest competitor. There's a massive shuttle port in the city center and the colony spreads out around it. An orbital platform called the Meat Locker acts as a transfer station.

#

EE gives some more detail and adventure hooks in its Tartarus sector write-up. Its fertile ground for a GM.

buoyant horizon
#

Oh, sounds cool! Here is a spaceport map I have been working on... Perhaps it could fit... Need to make a bigger map for the whole city though...

Underwater pistol and rifles. The pistol is the LEM Q-12 SPPโ€”a five-barrelled, compact, electrically-ignited special purpose firearm from Lindenthal-Ehrenfeld Militรคrindustrie, a Weyland-Yutani subsidiary. This pistol fires 8.88mm saboted, armour-piercing darts, effective both on land and underwater. Its two-piece design includes a separate firing mechanism and a factory-reloaded barrel section with tritium-filled iron sights for low-light precision. Known for its adaptability, the Q-12 SPP is formidable in any environment. The main drawbacks are the weight and cost of reloads. Retailing at $1200 UA, itโ€™s a significant investment for users valuing stealth and versatility. - Stats: Damage 2 (AP), Modifier/s +2 (underwater), 0 (on land), Range: S/S (underwater), S/M (on land), Ammo 1, Weight: 1 (divided between handpiece and barrel section). Comment: Notably itโ€™s considered โ€œSuppressedโ€ above water, with reload weight at 1/2 rather than 1/4 and cost at a 15% of the weapon value.
I need to find my notes on the rifles.

Now here is the thing The Mizuraki clan have a Trimonite mining facility they control. (Trimonite was the hardest material known to humans. It was fifteen times harder than diamond and extremely rare.[1] The planet LV-178 contained trimonite, and was the site of many mining operations to collect the mineral for conventional use. ) {According to the wiki} Point is they make some of their blades out of it and I stated for it. In my mind Trimonite is nearly unbreakable once cooled. It takes an insane amount of effert to shape into weapons. Hence why its mostly only used for ship parts that can be put into a molds. Trimonite can be melted down into sludge kinda like lava. Its likely OP but like only a very few lead assassins' get these.

Warning very custom stats and effects. Feel free to ignore the op bits and make changes

Tactical Katana
Mod: 1
Dam: 3
Weight: 1
Range: Close
Price: 2,000
Effect: Bleed Effect 1 damage for 1d6 rounds. Fast Action to stop the bleed.

Trimonite Katana
Mod: 4
Dam: 6
Weight: 1/2
Range: Close
Price: 150,000 (Made it super pricey for reasons feel free to change.)
Effect: Bleed Effect 1 damage for 1d6 rounds. Fast Action to stop the bleed.
Trimonite Katana made by master smiths of the Mizuraki Clan. Becomes [+3 Bonus,+3 Dmg] (reflected in stats) Unbreakable, Armor Degrading 1 per damage point. +1 to block and can deflect range attacks.

(Trimonite is light in my mind, deadly when crafted into a bladed weapon because is insanely strong, fast and sharp. The blue "shine" in the images is to reflect that its Trimonite weapon)

Inspired by Riddick movies, no stats yet for the guns but the knives...

Ulak Saber Claws (hook blade on left)
Mod: 3
Dam: 2
Weight: 1/5
Range: Close
Price: 200 (? feel free to change)
Effect: Armor Piercing, Serrated Edge. Bleed Effect 1 damage for 1d6 rounds. Fast Action to stop the bleed.

Necro Blade (on the right)
Mod: 1
Dam: 3
Weight: 1
Range: Close
Price: 200 (? feel free to change)
Effect: Armor Piercing, Serrated Blade. Bleed Effect 2 damage for 1d6 rounds. Fast Action to stop the bleed.

Claw is faster, lighter, more surprising hence the mod +3.
Necro is crude, heavier, but more deadly because the serrated blade thus more damage of bleed and base damage.

Another Mizuraki weapon specialty (if someone can find a better/cooler image feel free to replace)

Rope Dart
Mod: 3
Dam: 2
Weight: 1/2
Range: Close/Short
Price: 150 (? feel free to change)
Effect: Armor Piercing. Must have Weapon Specialist Talent. (This weapon needs training, you can't just pick it up and be decent with it easily.)

Huh.... Might need to make a hatchet version of this because of "Prey" I really loved that movie.

#

Another Mizuraki weapon specialty

Throwing Knife / Kuni (for space saving reasons I blended the two if someone feels as though they should be different by all means spilt them)
Mod: 3
Dam: 1

Range: Short/Mid
Price: 60 (pack of 3)
Effect: Easily concealed. -2 observation.

cobalt wave

Ok last one for right now... I might have more but feedback before I suggest more things would be nice. I don't know if this is too out there so yeah...

I found this image and my brain went "That's an engineer/space jocky relic."
Trimonite Blade
Mod: 2
Dam: 4
Weight: 1
Range: Close
Price: Priceless Relic
Effect: Unbreakable, Armor Degrading 1 per damage point. +1 to block and can deflect range attacks. (Think short sword for humans but dagger for Engineers)

Again my weapons stats are likely OP but they are fit for my table so adjust as desired by the more talented people if needed.

SeaMaster Powerhead / Bang Stick - like the one in Dead Sea. Single shot, 3 damage, Modifier +1, Range is Adjacent only. Uses Close Combat - Contact Weapon.Counts as Armour Piercing. Full Action to reload. $170 UA. Reloads come in boxes of 10.

The SeaMaster DSEND Sharksuit, forged from KevMailโ€”a durable Kevlar-laminate hybridโ€”offers a chainmail dive suit thatโ€™s both lightweight and mobility-friendly. This full-body armor is designed to protect against the formidable bites of underwater predators or unexpected spearfishing assaults. Itโ€™s an essential gear for divers, marine researchers, and those maintaining large aquariums, and has also gained favor with military and corporate combat swimmers. The suitโ€™s comprehensive coverage is ideal for descending into the shadowy, perilous depths. It includes a hood, tunic, sleeves, pants, gloves, belt, and booties, all designed to slip over a wetsuit and easily attach M11 Platypus Fins. Available in a spectrum of colours from tactical black to eye-catching dayglow, it provides significant protection. Now if the predator is so massive that it can swallow you whole... well, at least you'll give it severe indigestion on your way out. Weight 2 Armour 1 Cost $3,500 UA. -1 TO MOBILITY out of the water.

Ok, What do you people think???

naive turret

Lovely so far but any chance that the Cacciatore .44 image can be the one with the wood grips? AP as its a .44 and Long range with the sight - give it 0 Modifier beyond medium range.

I knew alot of mine were not balanced for most tables so I due apologize for that. Anyways, thank you so much! They look so good!

cobalt wave
naive turret
#

The 9mm is not AP. It's also Cacciatora with an "a" on the end opposed to .44 which is AP and is Cacciatore with the "e". Yes the Onagar .44 is AP and it should also have the same optic as the Alien Earth pistol that reduces the quick shot penalty. I can't find the card to check the details. Sorry.

cobalt wave
#

So I've got one more after checking Compound Bow
Mod: 2
Damage: 3

Effects: Armor Piercing, Single Shot, Damage: 3 Short 2 Medium

Adjust at will I was guessing stats. Also take your pick of pic I was thinking one of these ones but if you have better pic idea I'm cool with that.

naive turret
#

Let's give the Orca a point of armour as a standard military dive suit and a point of resistance to cold. Assume Norcomm provide a similar suit for their UPP combat swimmers. Civilian suits - we should have wet and dry - will need the Shark Armour to compete.

#

The Kraken should have a Mobility penalty I think, especially out of the water.

#

This one is immune to the effects of cold and we'll need stats for the micro harpoon.

buoyant horizon

Ok, I have updated all the gear you suggested Lurker, thx again! Here they are:

@cobalt wave A big thanks for all the new gear suggestions, I appreciate it. They look nice! If you think of any additional gear, just go for it :). Here is the updated "Relic blade" card and the new "Compound Bow" card...

CANC QBZ-131 "Sea Dragon" Frogman Rifle. A 6.88mm assault rifle designed to be used underwater. It has longer range and more penetrating power than a conventional speargun. Ok, Im leaning on going for the cheap way, lol ๐Ÿ˜†

#

Like this? How about the name? Can't be the same as the "REXIM" mining laser guns above?

Yep, this one is the Rexim Mining Laser from BBW. Its an actual tool whereas the others are weapons developed from a laser cutting torch.

REXIM RXF-M4 EVA MINING LASER- cut and pasted from BBW.

Give me a minute.

This one is the basic model from the V1 CRB. Rexim RXF-M5 EVA Pistol. No bells and whistles - BONUS: +1, DAMAGE: 1, RANGE: Medium, WEIGHT: 1/2, COST: $400, COMMENT?SPECIAL: Armor
piercing.

buoyant horizon
#

Ok, so we need to rename the other ones above... so the M4 (above) should be M5... The M5 (above) should be M55... And the M5A3 will keep the name...

#

Ok, I'm on it...

naive turret
#

This one is the updated version from BBW with an optic to extend the range and a LAG fitted as standard. REXIM RXF-M5A3 EVA PISTOL WITH 4ร—20
SCOPE AND UNDERSLUNG LAG UNIT: This updated version of the Rexim EVA Pistol (page 119 of the core rulebook) is slowly being distributed to the Weyland-Yutani commercial fleet. An RXF-M5A3 comes standard with a LAG light dial to increase damage (page 64) and a 4ร—20 scope. Range is extended to Long, Cost 500, Weight 1. LAG effects apply.

#

This is a new one on me. I think It might be the N79 from A:FTE.

#

This is the original image.

buoyant horizon
#

Hm, we got that one...

naive turret
#

Let me rework that one.

buoyant horizon
#

Perhaps something like this???

#

difficult with the damage of 1...

naive turret
#

Better. The second image at the top just needs to say EVA Pistol, not Mining Laser

buoyant horizon
#

Ah, will fix... but it says they can add a LAG unit, then it would have dam 2? Hmmm

naive turret
#

For the original EVA yes, but you have to buy the LAG and scope separately. You can add a 4x20 scope to the A4 and extend the range if you want.

#

The A3 just gets both as standard.

buoyant horizon
#

The scope adds to the range yes, but the LAG adds +1 dam... so it already has dam 1 and with a LAG you could interpreter that you should get 2 dam? (for the M5)

naive turret
#

You have to dial up the LAG to use it and its possible to drain a power cell to get that 2 damage. The A4 with its 2 damage gets 3 with the LAG added but drains its cells sooner. Swings and roundabouts.

buoyant horizon
#

So, something like this?

naive turret
#

Looks good to me.

buoyant horizon

#

It's big and clumsy, therefore -2 in modifier... Very hard to handle in combat...

cobalt wave
#

Ok I showed my player and he likes those stats and what you did to the pic too. He said all seems reasonable and balanced.

buoyant horizon
#

The range can even be extreme... its a laser... the price is probably a little more...

#

๐Ÿ˜† it's a monster weapon ๐Ÿซฃ

cobalt wave
#

Haha my player just screamed "Yes he gets it!" About changing the range to extreme and he agress price increase. He is working on damage idea for you.

#

It was built with the idea of destroying a hive planet in mind! So yes its a monster weapon! lol

#

Ok here updated damage idea!
"The destructive power of the beam increases over time when fired continuously on the same location as the heat spreads into the material. When firing on the same target with continuous fire, the damage will be at 5 for the first round, however the effective damage for each round after will be at 7 until it punches through and meets a new target."

buoyant horizon
#

Hmm, that might be something... Good ๐Ÿ‘

#

How about this?

#

So, at long range will be 5 damage, but every round you hit will increase the damage by 1...

cobalt wave
buoyant horizon
#

Goodie, so if you do continuous fire the damage will just get larger and larger 5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12 etc ... Lol ๐Ÿ˜†

cobalt wave
#

That's the intent! Its not meant to go after humans its for dense rocks and you know the things that are in our nightmares! And maybe a tank or two lol

buoyant horizon
#

but if you miss for a round, the damage resets... and you can start building it up again...

#

or resets to the damage you had last round?

#

but I can't fit that on the card text ๐Ÿค“

cobalt wave
#

Not a full rest just drop it back down by 1 so like fired 3 times in a row its at 7 but miss the 4th shot it goes back to 6. Cause the spot cooled some.

Getting all that on the card is takes skill...

buoyant horizon
#

That sounds good...

#

How do lasers work in ship combat? If you keep the beam hitting the ship each round? Haven't fiddled with that....

#

Any rules on that?

cobalt wave
#

I have no idea... Haven't done much ship combat but my player did make some "mech weapons" converted from the ship weapons he might know something I don't....

I can't tell you how many times I've said "As the GM.... idk I'm asking my tech guy, please hold" lol

#

Ok I just learned something or forgot anyways that mining laser was off a power loader! That's why it was heavy duty!

buoyant horizon
#

yeah, sounds reasonable...

cobalt wave

Oh right almost forgot this one I saw you goes came up with ammo types a player of mine asked for these
Tracer Rounds: Does not do extra damage by itself however it cauterizes the wound. If fired at Xenomorphs it will prevent Acid Splash unless parts are shot off. $20-50 Wiki for more info. I'll see if i can scrounge up more items but to be honest all I have left is op weapons and Yautja gear XD wont post those unless asked because I know those aren't everyone's cup of tea.

What about more flavor gear? Or the rarer cinematic items like the Draconis Strain and its variations. They don't have visual yet I can give a list of them if desired.

Trimonite Great Axe (One of a kind)
Mod: 1 (< because of reach)
Damage: 4
Weight: 2
Special: Made of pure trimonite. Armor piercing. Unbreakable. Impervious to acid. (Forgot to put this on the other Trimonite gear ๐Ÿ™€ The whole point of Trimonite in my verse is that its impervious to acid, I don't know if "Unbreakable" makes that clear enough, up to you if you want to put it there or not) Also mind you this thing would be hefty weight 4 or 5 if not made out of Trimonite. When it hits, it hits hard thus the high damage.

Trimonite Flamberge Zweihander (One of a kind)
Mod: 2
Damage: 4
Weight: 1
Special: Armor Piercing, Versatile, Made of pure Trimonite. Unbreakable. Impervious to acid. Reach. (I would say it had short range but "short" can be 30 feet or more lol. Its a big weapon as tall as person. A custom job for a big bad and a reward for a spefic player later. If you could somehow make the blade black with a blue hue that would be awesome.

(below is not op and found in book)

Push Dagger CMOM book pg 220 (added the stats)

26 Draconis Inoculation: A derivative of Chemical A0-3959X.91 โ€“ 15, this vaccine can arrest the development of a neomorphic or xenomorphic embryo within a host, turning it into an inert benign tumor. Or, it can turn you into a monster. The serum is unpredictable.

26B Draconis: A weaponized version of the Draconis Strain derived from a infected marines blood. If injected, the infected will become a Bodyburster. (Pg 47 DoW

CMOM below
Goreburster slime: (pg 177) A strangely pink toxic ooze, secreted by a Chestburster of enormous size and has blackened, polarized skin. Once it seeps into skin and reaches human blood cells, the victim will begin to bloat and explode within minutes.

Absolute Zero Aerosol: The spray negates immediate exposure to the Anathema infectionโ€”but only if the infection is the result of a bite wound or tactile contact. (pg 329) This freezing sterilization aerosol spray developed by Dr. Babak is experimental. The spray negates immediate exposure to the Anathema infectionโ€”but only if the infection is the result of a bite wound or tactile contact. If the pathogen is inhaled or imbibed, the spray is useless. Absolute Zero must be applied directly to the affected area within one round of exposure. While effective, the aerosol causes extreme frostbite and blackening of the sprayed area. The recipient suffers one point of damage and gains STRESS LEVEL +1โ€”but they have successfully avoided infection without need for a sickness roll.

Rhodes Vaccine: (pg 204) A bioagent originally conceived by a Dr. Rhodes under the Geholgod Institute founding member Dr. Lucien Keitel, Rhodes Vaccine temporarily provides protection against Xenomorph XX121. The vaccine tricks a Xenomorph into believing an inoculated person to already be impregnated with a Chestburster. Extremely difficult to synthesize, the vaccine is kept in protective storage on Darwin Island. Only Dr. Babak and General Vaughn herself have access to it.

Arcturain Klerhaige โŒ• : Virulence 4 - (CMOM pg 172) A disease from Arctura that is communicable to human beings, the Klerhaige is a virus that is transferred through bodily fluids and causes paranoia, delirium, and hemorrhagic fever. Symptoms include shock, organ failure, and death. It is communicable through direct tactile contact with the infected fluids followed by touching oneโ€™s eyes, nose, mouth, or open wounds. While curable through a series of twenty-eight AutoDoc treatments over two weeks, it has popped up repeatedly along the Arcturian Loop and has even spread as far as the Solomons. Every time it is thought to be contained, a new outbreak occurs on another world.

New Earth Plague โŒ• : Virulence 8. (CMOM pg 172) This highly infectious airborne flesh-eating bacteria is responsible for the 2157 quarantine and purge of New Earth Colony (page 23). Inhaled, the plague begins necrotizing the lungs before spreading throughout the body via the circulatory system. Symptoms take effect within one Shift and include bloating and a purple mottling of the skin. By the second Shift, blotches of external flesh begin to rot, emitting a putrid odor. It only gets worse from there. Responsible for ending millions of lives, the plague is thought to be contained in the HD85512 system. There is no known cure.

There is a word in here that is not aloud... this is like the forth time I've tried posting....
Royal Jelly (Taken from the Core books) Secreted by a Xenomorph Queen, Royal Jelly is a gelatinous substance that a mother Xeno uses to shape the Sentries of her hive. Royal Jelly contains a specialized strain of Agent A0-3959X.91-15 that induces an accelerated metamorphosis in P. praepotens and M. noxhydria. Royal Jelly is extremely addictive to humans and other animals, and when ingested in large quantities causes an adrenal increase in strength, stamina, and aggressive tendenciesโ€”eventually bordering on the superhuman and homicidal.

Paying homage to the og collectors book. Not the greatest pictures...(I found possible better pictures and posted them below) I got an idea for "Tome Relic" from the engineers... And now I have a whole cinematic trying to create itself in my head based around this book... sighs

Ok Mentorian can you work your magic on the pictures and make a "Tome" card? I might legit make a whole mini-cinematic based on it.

#

(Didn't want to delete the above post but this was my first idea that lead to the above) What about the "Space Beast" book? Do we have any reference material for it? Or we just gonna make this up on the fly? I know in HoD one of the pregens actually has this as a signature item.

Drones = Kites don't have weight in CTGD don't ask me why, maybe because they are expect to float beside you the whole time? I put the weight at 2 because clunky looking.
Type: Recon
Name: Discus
Mod: 3
Hull: 2
Armor: 0
Weight: 2
Special: Ovoid shape, flying, low resolution camera with heat vision, long range, radio controlled.
Tech slot: 1
Cost: 3200

Tech slot: 1
Cost: 2500

Type: Wrecker
Name: Spider
Mod: 2
Hull: 3
Armor: 1
Weight: 2
Special: Spider shape, vacuum, semi-autonomous, long range, radio controlled. Saw mandibles gear bonus +2, damage 2, crit 4
Tech slot: 3
Cost: 6800

Type: Asteroid Mining
Name: Squid
Mod: 3
Hull: 6
Armor: 2
Weight: 2
Special: Squid shape with metal tentacles, vacuum, semi-autonomous, extreme range, radio controlled. Mining cutter gear bonus +1, damage 4, crit 5
Tech Slot: 3
Cost: 8000

KITE UPGRADES
Kites can be upgraded with the following:
Tool Arm: Fine tools or repair tools, double price.
Gripping Claw: To grab (regular) items, cost 600.
Weapon: Any close combat weapon, tripled price.
Radio Control: Long range, cost 2,000.

Blurb: Kites delicate airframes made of thin paper foil and tethered by gossamer wires. These are traditional kites, now known as sails. While the semi-autonomous airframes used for ship repairs, mining, and exploration have now become Kites, reflecting their more advanced and functional design. While sails flutter for joy under the Dome, kites work tirelessly in the depths of space and industry, embodying the practical ingenuity of Ship City.

KITE FUNCTIONS
Kites have Maneuverability, Hull and Armor attributes just like vehicles. They are generally controlled via wire or radio signals by a handler, but there are some Heirloom kites that seem to work by themselves, just by issuing vocal commands to them.

#

Oh thank goodness it worked this time. Should we pull more items from CTGD? Their weapons look more... or should I say less "Alien" Low-Tech" and more Prometheus's High-Tech looking. However, they do have some interesting things beyond the weapons that good be ported over easy enough like a book of poems which gives them back hope for Alien it would destress.

sleek oxide
#

I wrestled with that on drones too. I want something closer to Alien's retro-futuristic or 'cassette futurism' look, and less like the PUPs.

buoyant horizon
#

Yeah, we should try and find pictures that fit into the Alien universe (not so easy I know) ๐Ÿค“

heavy lotus
#

there's always what probably inspired the PUPS -- the "Mice" from the "Ridleygrams" Ridley Scott drew up for Alien

#

Quote from Ridley Scott on that:

I wanted to have small flying objects, like sensors, which flew up and down the corridors. They would find a problem, stop by a computer bank and fix it like little handymen. I wanted to call them 'Mice'. At the beginning of the film, they would be the only things that were alive on the ship. We'd have shot a long empty corridor so you'd hear them coming before you actually saw them. Then WHOOSH! It would pass by the camera, going through the corridor. I think FOX felt it was too much in the direction of SF, and we dropped it.

#

I presume the look was probably somewhat inspired by things like the interrogator droid from A New Hope, since Alien's Nostromo certainly took inspiration from Star Wars's "lived future" look

#

basically, scuff up a PUP and throw some greebly things on it and you probably have something more fitting

I think that is awesome. Though the "bones" should be "modifier" in the special area for consistency, I posted it wrong before.

The squid one is going to be tricky I think, it is built for mining... So I think it needs to have like spider legs/tentacle like arms like the bad guy in spider man. Those er "clamping" ends could anchor it to the asteroid while the body produces the laser to mine with.

OH! Btw the Spider dude should get a note that its meant to cut through ship hulls. Its for salvaging and repairs of ships.

Here we go some miner companies to inspire us. For renaming things if need be.

ALPHATECH HARDWARE: Major military contractor for the UA and other corporations.

CHIGUSA CORPORATION: Rival of W-Y focused on colonization, plasma harvesting and mining operations.

GEMBA SYSTEC: Electronics manufacturing and freight handling.

HYPERDYNE SYSTEMS: ICSC subsidiary of W-Y that makes high-end synthetics and cybernetic prosthetics.

JฤฌNGTรŒ Lร“NG CORPORATION: ICSC company that is a W-Y and Seegson rival focusing an colonization and weapons R&D.

KELLAND MINING COMPANY: Deep Space Mining Company known for building massive orbital mining stations.

KOORLANDER CORP: A company with tobacco farms on several colony worlds. Koorlander is the rival cigarette brand to Balaji Imperial.

SOUTA CORP: Producers of the beer Souta Dry, a cheap alternative to Weyland-Yutaniโ€™s own Aspen Beer.

LOCKMART: ICSC company that is the premiere builder of commercial starships.

STEER CITY CATTLE COMPANY: A small company out of Terraform 3 that provides draft animals and quality meat to Frontier colonies. &

#

Could also go with the Mining Company I came up with that "dapples" in weapon tech "Mizuraki Clan" As they are known in my verse.

#

Asteriod Mining Drone could go with a combo of below.
Chigusa / Kelland / Mizuraki* (All do mining)
Asteroid / Meteor / Comet / Meteorite
Miner / Mining / Harvester

Mizuraki Comet Miner = MCM Drone?

#

Discus Recon > AlphaTech Recon Drone < Simple rebrand I think it works. Looks like something they would make too which is also nice. Just kinda smooth future tech but still oldish enough to fit with the theme of Alien tech

In addition I was thinking, the Tessen Hand Fan is the same size as the Exacutive's Hard Case, because the fan is "Metal" (Make it Trimonite if you like that better) Should it get the "Provides Armor 2 cover as a Slow Action" ?

Alternatively have the current one be a normal size hand fan so leave it as is and then make a "Large" version that's heavier, costs more and does the Armor cover?

sleek oxide
#

I went a slightly different route with my drones, seeing them largely in the same game terms as Working Joes where they have a set list of stats and can work autonomously or under direction (of ship/base AI or a human remote operator). It's interesting that Ridley envisioned a bunch of small robots scurrying around like mice, because the first one I made stats for is the RAT, which is made to help engineers access tight spaces only a rat could fit into.

R.A.T. (Remote Access Tool)
Str 1, Agi 4, Wits 2, Emp 0
Armor 1, Health 1, Power 3
ComTech +2, Heavy Machinery +1
Comms range S
Close Combat 1, ME1 Cutting Torch (Dmg 1, armor piercing), built-in camera, light

#

Then there is its bigger, cat/small dog sized cousin made for general industrial work

S.P.A.R.C. (Structural Plasma Arc Repair Construct)
Str 2, Agi 3, Wits 2, Emp 0
Armor 2, Health 2, Power 3
ComTech +1, Heavy Machinery +2
Comms range M
Close Combat 2, ME2 Cutting Torch (Dmg 2, armor piercing), Ranged Combat 1, Incinerator (Dmg Fire 1, Fire Intensity 5, range S), built-in camera, light

#

Finally, for the first batch of engineering-focused drones was the drone carrier/range extender. It's the size of a large dog and intended to take multiple remotes EVA or to hard-to-reach spots and then allow them to network to each other and the supervising AI or human operator.

M.U.L.E (Multi-Unit Longe-range Extender)
Str 3, Agi 3, Wits 2, Emp 0
Armor 2, Health 3, Power 6
ComTech +2, Heavy Machinery +2
Comms range E
Close Combat 2, ME3 Cutting Torch (Dmg 3, Armor Piercing), Ranged Combat 2, Bolt Gun (Damage 3, Armor Piercing, Range S), built-in camera, light, Extends the control range of all connected drones by one band (max E)

#
