Imposter Perk Doesn't Work For Me

A few days ago I was playing with the imposter perk in SMASH, and then one round it just stopped applying its effects. I was clearly not blending in, and the mask emblem was not visible below my stamina bar. Its happened every time I've chosen it since. I took the liberty of taking some screenshots.

the face-off pawer wears off after 3 knock-outs in a round, but shows back up the next round

as you can see it doesnt even appear at the beginning of the round

to every other player who isn't ur teammate will see u as their teammate. its a way to trick all of them. but the face/off mask is missing in the top left corner. normally its there to tell u that u have it still and one u have been knocked out 3 times its gone

I have it all on stream so ya’ll can see. I cut a clip of it. I chose the face off perk and the mask never appeared ever. Even at the start of the rounds.

As can be seen in the photos provided already, however, even at the very start of the round the imposter effect does not occur as there is no mask under my stamina bar

It was a 5 hour stream tho so I rlly don’t feel like going through it to find the game…

whenever i have choose the face/off perk, the mask never shows. i assume that our ability is working bc everyone else who chose face/off (before or after me) works fine

I’ll have to check in private match then because I swear that the perk is working ZERO percent and everybody is attacking me without hesitation right at the beginning.

I wouldn’t be so sure, it could be glitched ems. How would you know unless somebody confirmed for you on the other team. The reason I think it’s not working is because no mask and ppl have not been acting fooled one bit.

fair point, i hope the perk is still working correctly and the mask isnt there is a bug

@azure island whenever u, don and i were on last night and i had face/off, was face/off on me correctly? just asking to make sure

i mean people really just attack anyone anyways
and the ppl u could b joining could be communicating w each other . when i played last night it was working perfectly fine

well if this is the case, the actual bug is that the mask is not appearing under my stamina bar, so I have no idea if I am in imposter mode or not. This is still an issue imo

3. Restart the game. Then in Steam Library, right click "Party Animals ", then "Manage", then "browse local files". In the pop-up windows, you will see log files named "2024-xx-xx_xxxxxxxxx-Laptop Name". Each game session will generate one log.
4. Try to reproduce the issue and remember the time when you encounter it. Then quit the game, and ZIP all the log files.

Note: “-log” could degrade the game performance, please remove it after you have obtained the logs.
