#Ichiban Safe Spot

that's in a spot where the gas area is
The gas eventually grows higher, is like calling the top of the pillars a "safe zone"
The funny thing is, it's not growing higher, it's just moving closer.
But he lasted till like the last 10 seconds
It only happened when the gas wasn't in the bottom left of the map. There was only one bunny player on the main platform, and when the gas covered the entirety of the main platform the bunny died before this person in the corner.
There are multiple predetermined areas where the gas will close. One is so far to the left (looking at if from the front) that you will survive longer on those bricks (or any high point to the left for that matter) than on the main plateau. That's what must have happened in your case.
Okay, so it isn't a bug, but it still feels like you shouldn't be able to survive longer when you are off the main platfrom.
You used to be able to jump to the sides of the broken bridge and be invincible as they didn't have a kill zone over there. Seems like the same thing is happening here when the gas goes to the very bottom left.
I mean you can feel that way about it, you're free to. It's just not how the devs planned it out. I clipped it for you to show you the zone and where it ends, if you see clear air to the left of the main platform, the zone will close here. I also want to point out that this is not the only zone where you will survive longer OFF the main plateau. Matter of fact is only one zone is really closing on the platform (the middle zone) everything else better to not be on top.
Yes i remember it and that was a clear exploit which got patched since the deathbox existed but didn't reach out far enough and you could make it through. In this case you will die eventually to the gas. It may help to think about the whole map as the map and not only the main plateau.
I am aware that you have I think 3 zones. The stairs and the 2 corners, I would believe you more if both sides of the map had these stones in the corner, but isn't it only in one, the left corner?
It seems very strange to have these stones on one side of the map only for you to survive on them when the right zone is in play, considering in every other map, this isn't the case. Every other last stand map has clear areas you are suppose to be and not be, so to have these stones on just one side of the map seems weird.
it's actually around 6-7 zones
Gotcha. Where did you find this info btw?
Hopping into a private lobby and testing it.
I mean idk what to tell you, there were only two players alive for a good 30 seconds, one stayed on the main platform until the entirety of the top platform was covered in gas, and the player that was on these stones survived. What exactly makes you think that surviving on these stones outside of the main map when the proper zone is in play is how the devs intended?
Yeah the 30sec feels about right, you can see it in the clip how gas would probably kill someone up there faster.
It’s intended because they had to plan all of those zones and define where they would end. Also the assets (in this case stone bricks) were strategically placed there by someone, the map isn’t large you can assume that it was placed by hand with purpose. At the end of the day, everything with the walls is the main map, the plateau is only one part of it as I see it and navigating the gas is just a good skill to have on this map.
You can also throw a high enough brick from the main plateau into the gas and survive standing on top of it. You know the stepping stone/curb around the main platform, its height is the cut off point, touch anything below for more than 3.3sec (if you have full health) and you will die.
I guess I should try throwing in stones on the other side and see if it works there too. Okay, so def not a bug, I guess it's just weird how they only made one side have these extra bricks and leave the otherside barren.
Maybe I could mention it in the feedback tab, but tbh, I doubt the devs care about anything in the feedback tab since there is zero organisation
#❓-dev-ama message they do read it allegedly if they care about it is another question yes. Also there has been a survey done recently so idk how big of an impact the feeback section has right now.
Ah, okay, that is very good to know.
