Not entirely sure if this is a bug but it was also there in the second playtest, so I must set my laptop to high performance mode or keep it charged for the game to run smooth otherwise it runs below 20fps. Is this intended?

same here, I joined the 2nd playtest, first time was fine and an update to the game made the game just run very bad, I'm barely hitting 20 fps, no matter what I do

Gaming laptops usually need to be connected to a power source for it to run efficiently. If it’s not then you will experience dips in performance.

It’s prob cause u have low VRAM try lowering down your textures and if that doesn’t work lower down all graphic settings
Your low RAM could be it too. Might be time to upgrade to 16 gigs of ram.
And tbh this game isn’t optimized well for console so I doubt it would be friendly for lower end pc’s

Most recent games have really bad optimization and 4 gigs of vramm is pretty low when the recommended is at least 8 gigs. For these spec most current gen games would be run at low settings. Unless the game isn’t very demanding which party animals is.
Also lowering the resolution a little bit lower from a 1080p can give you a massive performance increase. I’d recommend 960p cause u won’t really notice a difference
