though i do tend to switch between the 1h and 4h timeframe to figure out the current trend. for that i use the ichimoku cloud for trends and boillinger which helps to know when it’s overbought or oversold.

i use lux algo for double confirmation using the cloud and trend lines on set ups between 1h and 30min timeframe then close in on the 1min timeframe for precise entry. parabolic sars helps me with that.

It should work on any timeframe as long as you set the parameters correctly. Each pair and timeframe need to be set a little differently. BOS- break of structure, in this case there was a higher high and I waited and entered on the higher low. TL- trend line. LQ- liquidity area

So the sell obviously stopped out (I thought it would go to the support line I drew. Hi all, generally i am able to make the best out of trendlines, trying LUX for the first time to have some edge, what timeframe do you guys recommend on forex/gold for 30-60 pip range trading.

@icy wraith my trendline provide a rejection on Gold, whereas indicator provided a sell signal after few 15 min candles, and there is no 30 min sell signal or 1H TF sell signal, even though trend has switched to selling biased after rejection from 1802, what timeframe do you recommend here, first day on LUX. cheers.

Use confirmation signals as a confirmation for a trade. So if it bounces cleanly you may want to enter

Then you may see a buy signal and know to hold the trade a bit longer

Was bored and blindly tested the signals for fun, keep in mind this is a really small sample size of only 10 days over 4 different pairs and probably doesn't mean anything but yea, maybe new traders without a strategy can try just following the signals with these rules on a DEMO account for a few months and see if it actually works for them

here's a better test (more realistic) of what would happen if you followed all of the signals with some type of bot/automated system for a month. pair is GBP/USD using same rules as above but with a smaller lot size and over 1month time period (drawdown based on a small $200 account )
