Try a different provider. Not all assets/providers send volume info to Trading View. OANDA has this, but a couple of others do not.

if you want to focus on XAU, you can try to gain a sentiment of the direction. I recommend not tradig against the market. I also recommend exposing very little of your book and slowly make profit.

Each time you enter a market, firstly see what the sentiment is and any form of news across countries.

At the moment due to the slightly unusal approach the US president is taking, there is uncertantity. Xau is a safe haven.

Difficult to say, really, because of such a short timeframe. By its very nature it would have a lot of noise. I would recommend to backtest and align with a higher timeframe market structure using the hourly, for example.

I emailed them about it and they said something about opening an MT4 account, which I did, and still nothing. Hopefully get it sorted soon, the leverage for VT is crazy.
