As a professional trader, I trade a naked chart for the most part. I get a LOT of doubt, dissent, flak, backlash and get picked apart often when I state that publically. I have found the Matrix Oscillator very useful when scalping. Now, I have a naked chart on top and the Matrix Oscillator on the bottom of my TradingView screen. The average time to become profitable is 3-5 years in terms of consistent profitability. It took me three years. It was a long climb but glad I came out the other side. Most do not.

The most difficult part, for me, was not findamental or technical analysis. It was getting out of my own way and sticking to my rules.

You can always use a higher timeframe on a lower timeframe. If your using our Smart Money Concepts indicator then you could look for a CHoCH on a higher timeframe such as 1 hour - then drop down to the 15 minute timeframe and look for confluences such as BoS in the direction of the 1 hour CHoCH.

There are a lot of ways you can trade, its just finding a style what fits you.

But there will be losing days in any strategy, its all about managing your risk to navigate them losing days/weeks to stay profitable overall

But don't be dishearted, it took me 5 years until i was consistently profitable. Trading isn't easy at all, it takes time and patience to find what works for you and what doesn't. Its not a quick overnight get rich thing

Agree with @proper compass Losses are all part of the "tuition" we pay as traders. If you minimize your risk, they are just business expenses. Many will disagree with me but I would recommend trading on a sim (demo/paper money) account until you figure out your system (trading strategy). otherwise, you are just throwing money into a burn barrel. Albeit trading live with real money is a different animal, if you cannot show a consistent profit on paper - you most certainly will not with a live account. Just my personal opinion...

i stick to 1% risk per trade on FTMO - therefore you have 10 trades before you hit max DD

I calc my lot size for my risk percentage like this: account balance x 0.01 / sl in pips / 10

so if im using 100k account and 5 pip stop loss the calculation would be 100k x 0.01 = 1000/5 = 200/5 = 20.0 lot size at 5 pip stop loss = 1% risk for 100k account

There are 2 ways you can just set up liquidity grabs and thats via:
Custom Alert Creator
Alert Scripting

• In order to do it via 'Custom Alert' then you would select 'Liquidity Grab - any/bullish/bearish grab' then select Custom alert Condition in TradingView for the alert (See picture 1)

• In order to do it via 'Alert Scripting' then you would type {bullish_grab} or {bearish_grab} - This will give you an alert for either the bullish or bearish grab in one alert. If you solely wanted just either bullish / bearish then you would delete the text and only leave just:
  {bullish_grab} or {bearish_grab} - You also need to tick the option 'Scripted Alert' and use Any Alert() function all in the TradingView alert

As a profitable Forex trader, I might offer a bit of advice for a new Forex trader. Stay aware on any swing trades that one day of price action can easily wipe out 4-7 days of previous price action. Just like that. I trade Forex completely different than stocks and BTC.

Keep your position sizing LOW or paper trade until you are consistently profitable with a demonstrated track record. Forex can blow up your account while you are sleeping. Especially if you are using leverage and do not know what you are doing yet or have not found your edge.

You could also enable Order Blocks, i always use them as like support and resistance levels to see where price could potentially return. Looking at your screenshot though it looks like it is in a downtrend so countertrend trades are always a little bit riskier

Hey just wanted to share a strategy and ask for help as well.
I have been testing this.
It goes as in Oscillator Matrix

1. Look for hyperwave to print a signal only above 80 or below 20. Have to be with the trend.
2. Must come close or into neocloud setting 2.
3. In S&O use preset swing trader. Use this as a layer of confirmation.
   I tested it on 5 min in forex and it is 60% accuracy over a 40 trades over a month. With profit factor of 2.5.
   I want to set it up so I can get alerts for it to. But i am having trouble with that.

You could do when the lower length neo cloud switches in the direction of the higher length neocloud, its upto you when you enter a position. Depends on your technical analysis, there is no right or wrong place to enter a trade. Id recommend backtesting the double neo cloud strategy though before trying it LIVE

Been using he LuxAlgo SuperTrend AI indicator in TradingView. I have a question that I'm hoping to get some help on... How do I create an alert for the buy and sell signals from this indicator when triggered? I'm creating a webhook for Capitalise.AI to trigger automated buy and sell positions. I simply need to understand how to create the alert from this indicator.
