Yeah I’ve been burnt too many times doing that. Mostly because I used to go too big on single trades —> makes it psychologically harder to accept the loss if it moves against me. But 1-2% SL I really don’t care if I get stopped. Worth it to see if the idea works.

i have a question regarding the order blocks . just to confirm if i got it right. what can it mean if the price got out above the block and got back /

Once candle body closes above that orderblock, it will be mitigated and turns into a breaker block.
Id wait for break to break below that order block/breaker block and react from it then before taking a short

Taking a short above it means your selling right where possible support could be (BB)

and regarding 2% on prop firm, id advise not to as with a 5% daily limit, 2 wrong trades and your 80% towards your daily DD limit.

Where as with 0.5% per trade = you got 10 trades you could lose in a row before reaching your daily DD limit (if its 5%)

Same with 1% per trade = you got 5 consecutively losing trades before hitting daily DD as opposed to 2.5 at 2% risk

I always calc my lot size position in relation to my pips for the stop loss of that given trade. Even got the simple calculation on my custom mouse mat LOL

but I have tested it and if we keep the RSI lenght to its default setting(15), it creats more better confirmation. Like just 2 or 3 candles before the reversal signal, try it on some trades and let me know wether i am missing something. Also the plot lines perfectly shows the reversal as they cross each other.

For my strategy, your exit signs are: “x” from Lux Signals, QQE candle turns orange (warning sign), hard exit is if you’re in a long position and QQE turns red. Same goes for short positions, if QQE turns orange (warning), or QQE turns red, hard exit.

Its hard to manage emotions in trading especially if you've been on a losing streak but regardless if you've had 10 losses in a row or 5 wins in a row. Sticking to a trading plan will help you be consistent in the long run

I'd consider banking profit and being break even for the day, no win no loss = winner at the end of the day + allows you to go back over the days trades and assess what worked for you and what didn't and how it affected your psychology - but thats just me and my opinion hah what you choose is upto you 🙂

most likely fall, wait for the candle to close below the nearest order block, retest and then short only in 15 min. On 4 hr its on a uptrend on a upwart line, if it breaks the line then shorting is applied. This is No financial advise.

you can get scared and bank profits in fear of losing profits when it retraces/comes back up. But always have a trading plan (IE: if you going to bank say 50% profits at 1% running - do that for every trade) dont pick and choose when to take partials. Always take them at the same point every trade or it can mess your R:R up in long run

Yeah its been a pump after Gold struggled for months, now we might say it could push towards 2700 in a clean bullrun but there could also be a massive correction coming up, going long for an extended time might be risky, it depents on the next major news whether Gold will push higher or drop now.

I look at the renko graph for 15 seconds, it shows me an example of a buy signal and when I enter, after a few minutes it shows me something else

Thats because you are on the 15 second chart, where each bar is 15 seconds. Therefore it will print more buy/sell signals than opposed to say the 5 minute or 4 hour chart. You could try using auto pilot: long term to reduce the amount of signals but still as its a very short second timeframe. The algorithm will produce more buy/sell signals due to the fast pace of the second charts.

Im still very much short in gold. I have 5 entries - closed out the profitable ones yesterday but I still have 2 underwater in red 😁 (2649.9 and 2648) .

Looking at the chart now, it looks very bullish on 4hrs 8hrs but mad bearish on 1D 😀 Means there’ll be mad torture for those of us in shorts, before the actual dump happens.

When gold dumps, we are seeing a dump to:

A good trading strategy is to wait for rejection before dump. That works a lot with other pairs but not gold. Gold is mostly snipe, and then it retraces so fast on the smaller timeframes.

My point was more so that fundamentals are important, but with so many different elements to fundamentals, it’s hard to anticipate how all of the moving parts will influence price. Whereas, the price action itself is a summary of everything and can therefore be easier to follow.

But yeah, an understanding or hypotheses regarding how various fundamental factors may influence the price is definitely important.

Gold topping is a very unpopular idea. However, if it does top here it would look very obvious in retrospect (could confirm a 50yr trendline).

Re lower targets, there’s also two potential high timeframe wedges. If it hit the lower limit of the lower one, it would be around $700. I think it’s very very unlikely though.

After extensive number of failed trades, I found out that 15m TF is the way to go for scalping & day trading. I know some of you advised that to use higher time frames, but being impatient and more than often tempted by the 1m setup opportunities, I had to learn that the hard way

If you would rather not look at a higher TF for a bias, this is ok as well.
Many successful traders use only one TF so to not get confused.

Regarding your poll, do you have any details about the steps related to the poll?
Im really sorry if its a really stupid question.

No question is silly! & its a sequence of steps you can have in your alert conditions.

(IE: you could have a 2 step alert such as:
step 1 - price is in a premium zone
step 2 - bearish CHoCH is produced

After step 1 has been confirmed, it will wait for step 2 to happen before giving you the alert.
