The overall subject matter of posts and DM's, are basically how to be profitable and stop losing all the time, and requesting help, one-on-one coaching, copy-trade, best settings, etc etc.

• I want to first say that I truly understand, I really do, as I was in this same chapter of my trading career.
  I was frustrated, and have given up multiple times, over and over, until a "light-bulb" turned on.
• And I just wanted to offer some ideas if you're overwhelmed with everything.
• Find a "Mechanical Concept." 👈🏻

Not a "subjective, interpretive discretionary concept," but a Mechanical Concept.

Find a mechanical concept that YOU like, don't force yourself to like something, that you don't believe in.

A Mechanical Concept that has CLEAR rules, no confusion, just black and white clear rules.

Example (just an example):
When Signals & Overlays prints a buy/short signal, in direction of Smart-Trail, take entry in same direction.
That's it, clear-cut rules.
A mechanical-concept.
Now study and test this over and over again.

Once you get the hang of this,
then you start to add a few more confluences, to subjectively filter out some entries, with YOUR OWN analysis.
This is where you begin to optimize the mechanical strategies, based on your own trading style.

Another mechanical strategy, as an example, that's it; turn off everything in Signals and Overlays.
Turn on Candle Coloring at Auto Pilot Long Term.
Now take the candle color direction blindly.
Green, go long
Red, go short
Now there are some good candle color entries, and some not so good.
THIS is where "you" start to optimize and start adding other toolkit elements to filter some of these set-ups, based on your style.

Just in time. Exactly what I needed to hear after two bad days of nothing working out with me. I even started to explore MT5 experts, looking for some ew strategies. I was totally disoriented last night till today. When I started it was all good ad everything made sense, till the point that all went south, small loss, trying to compensate, bigger loss, getting anxious, more leverage, bigger position size to faster gain what I lost, and what do you know, more losses, revenge trading, frustration .. and all the package of those feelings. Now I have deep doubts that I can't do this. I analyze the chart, high TF to low, all seems fine, trying imaginary trade and it all work out, till the moment I open a real position and everything just reverses on me.

The silver lining that I got from this horrible experience, when the price pulls back on you, open a hedge mode opposite position, don't wait for it to reverse back in your favor, nor wait for it to hit your stoploss. Just open the opposite hedge position as soon as the price pulls back against you, and wait till it goes back on your favor, or hits your stoploss and continues that direction. Your original order will be closed, you are already on break even point, no losses (sometimes you might have small profit), and now only your hedge position is active and in profit. you either wait for it to reverse and close it right that moment, or keep it active if the price is continuing it's direction

u trade forex
focus on 1 pair
and 1 session
u love usd/jp so trade NY session or Asia base on ur time and planning day because u need volume, don’t trade it ln London also trade 2 -3 trades a day
price on that pair will not move the same way in all sessions but it will repeat it self on the same session.
master that pair on that session on that time frame

I'll have to disagree on that. let's say If your active position (long) is on 10 points profit, the price started to pull back, now you're on 9 points profit, you open an opposite position (short) at that point, now both positions at that point are at the same point of profit/loss, so you will stay at 9 points profit as long as both positions are open (minus the spread for the hedge position, so maybe 8 points in profit), now you have locked-in your profit and waiting the price to reverse back, once that happens, you close the hedged position(short), and the original buy position starts to add to the profit again. or if the price changed direction and went bearish, you close the original long position and the hedged short will start adding to the profit.

I don't think you can match professional indicators, LuxAlgo for instance. Teams are building those indicators, you can't as an individual (even if hired a freelance) to match their efforts and build better product, not to mention their vast experience. In other words, i would rather buy a wheel than re-inventing it. and with the demo account trading, you are ruling out all phycological aspect of the process (Which is a very crucial part of trading) as it's only paper trading, so i would rather lose small amounts of real money learning the right way and preparing physiologically, rather than demo trading. Those lessons you learn the hard way will never be forgotten because of all the emotional state you experienced, and are the most important lessons in your learning curve towards success. Not to mention that those situations are the very important incentive for you to find a working solution. Demo trading doesn't have any of that. You want to learn correctly, it will cost you money, and your losses are part of this cost.

Paid indicators are not bad, don’t get me wrong. They will help you in forming a strategy, but never works as a standalone. If it does, no one will be selling them to make money.

If paid indicators indeed work as standalone, creators will be using them to rack millions instead of selling them for $100s of dollars 🙂

They serve specific purposes. Ill give an example.

Lux algo has this ICT time session indicator. It just allows you to plot in timings. Read up ICT Silver bullet strategy, use the indicator as an anchor. You’ll see how price reacts around those timings. That becomes a strategy.

First of - you need to know what youre looking for, then you need to combine indicators across multiple timeframes for accuracy, then you form a strategy, decide the winning ratio/percentage, R:R, and then demo for a long while to perfect.

Nobody opens a trade in another direction when theyre already in profit. Its not gambling. If youre doing that, youre gambling. You need to look at bare charts and understand the candles, patterns, why they react, and when.

Slap some traditional indicators on the chart, theyre mostly reactive but use that to understand.

With Lux, one of the best things you can learn is OB and why market reacts around them. Understand some fundamentals - why are OBs support/resistance? Why does price smash through some OBs but some act as Resistance? A lot to dig into - but the journey is rough

Each one's experience is totally different than others, you can't generalize, there are those who made it much earlier than others, and those who are still trying. if you have passion for it, I don't think it's hard to succeed. You just need to seek information from reliable sources, and as you said, build a strategy.

That's a tricky one, because applying indicators to synthetic candles (whether HA or something else) may lead to calculations on calculations. I prefer to read HA candles by themselves in confluence with indicators applied on regular candles.

you pay a little commission for having raw spread but i use low timeframes so its a valid expense. You may not need a no spread account, just depends what type of trader you are 🙂

Yo, i am trying to build a strategy witch requires as little discretion as possible. I am using trend following strategy where high tf trend is determined by one of the user strategies (4h chart) and I try to snipe entries in 15min chart using the strategy which CEO explained in Signals & Overlays video (trying to keep it simple as possible lol).

Everything seems to go ok until price enters in a squeeze. Is there any entry level tips witch you could share (as little discretion as possible required since i am not trying to melt my brain off).

These strong/weak highs and lows are basically the highs and lows of a most recent swing structure.
Just plotting a larger swing structure, larger that the PAC internal and swing choch/bos structures.

Premium/Discount zones
Strong/Weak, High/Lows

Remember, these two anchor levels (H and L, premium and discount) are from the most recent swing points, so the metrics at these levels are from that structure, but of course price can still bust up or down.

But the further it busts up, we know sooner than later, this will come back down.

So these metrics gives us a clue on how much further it can go. Its like how long do we want to hang onto the move, or do we really want to jump in now?, at the risk that the move could be over anytime soon

I’ve used Fibonacci for years now. The secret to Fibonacci is using levels different from what everyone use.

You just need to find the level. For instance, i found that price reacts at fib 5.828 and -5.828. You probably will not see this documented

So when you plot your fib for a long and you expect that price will go to a fib 0.618, 1.618, 2.618, theres a great chance that it goes to the minus values for those fib levels before the pump starts

Unfortunately, people place SLs at fib 0 but thats the mistake

Entry should be at -5.828 or thereabouts, before the actual long starts. So a little bit of patience for price to go down and then the pump starts.

People dont preempt this; hence why 8/10 times, they end up being stopped out before price moves in their direction

Yup, patterns and trendlines are pretty good, you will also hear many different ways to trade, they are all not wrong or right, you just have to trade based on your trading style, try not to force trading to someone else's style or theory, as they are just like anyone else. We all dont have a crystal ball, and we are all in this Discord trying to make it. The only proof is your own charts and results, anyone else's are just that, thoughts and theory's that are unproven. Only you know what works for you...example, some traders use DCA dollar cost average to dig themselves out of a losing trade, it works for them, does it work for you? Some traders use patterns and get stopped out alot, but some traders dont.

i understand that there is not so much room in server for each pair. so a set up that i trying to work with right now is that . if price is lets say to discount zone (on P.A.C ) and there it forms a bullish order block and also passes thru trend tracer (on signals and overlays) then i place buy order with take profit to equilibrium or above order block . and the exact opposite for when price is to premium zone. but i think i will cancel take profit and will try trail stop the price

its 4 days since i started using that approach so i have no clear results yet but in my humble opinion looks like it wants to work out if anyone else wanna give it also a try or back test would be very welcome

@warm glen gave you sound advice. It’s all very overwhelming when you are new to trading. I trade stocks, Forex and am new to Crypto. I trade with a naked chart. Not dozens of indicators, beepers, colors and numbers everywhere. My best advice is to be patient until you find your edge. It may take weeks, months or years.

Reducing your focus and attention will help you learn one stock, one pair etc. The really troubling part is that until you become consistently profitable - the YouTube universe can be mind bending. I don’t trade options or futures. I don’t even know what they are. I did EVERYTHING wrong early in my trading journey. Everything. Thankfully, I did not put real money in harms way until I knew what I was doing. Even then, I lost plenty of money because of FOMO and emotions. My only advice as a professional trader would be this. As you are learning, you WILL get slapped around. Everyone does. Start writing a list of what doesn’t work and make rules. Once you find your edge - stick with it whatever it is until it doesn’t work. You can spend YEARS bouncing from one trading system to another. Then yet another.

Be patient. Don’t let anyone tell you that you must trade every day for the sake of trading. There will be days when your edge does not play out. This is a marathon - not a sprint.

However, I started with $1,000. It takes time to build. Patience was something I learned. I had to. Remember one thing. You wear two hats as a trader. Alex the trader and Alex the risk manager. Alex the risk manager must win every argument. Tomorrow won’t matter if you blow up your account today. Further- do not use margin until you are consistently profitable.

Again, I trade a naked chart. Maybe a support or resistance line here or there but there is no harm or shame in using indicators. They work for a lot of people. I have always done my own game planning and trades. I took $50 and threw it into a Coinbase account and am going to try Lux to see what happens. Not a fan or a foe of algo trading. So I use it on 1D for signals and then look for confluence on 4h and 1h, ie Choch, bos, double bottoms / tops, etc. @sage elk I'm working too and can't spend hours watching charts so this setup really works for me. Takes 5 mins to check alerts and charts. I use previous day high/ low for SL. Trades are long though but means set and forget

hey micky, saw your live video whose title is OVERWHELMING, in that you discussed a lot about keeping the chart clean. Awesome knowledge just needed some clarification: 1) in the autopilot sensitivity, for 15 minutes to 1 hr chart, should it be short term or long term. 2) I know heikien aisi and normal candles have different calculations, what is more sensible and practical to use which goes well with lux algo indicators. 3) also the stop loss be at the last support/resistance level or the order block?

would take the first tp on the order block

nice. i just watched a couple more things on it. definitely making more sense to me here. ill play around with it more. any tips for it let me know. so far im liking the consolidation zones and the heatmap to identify the price moving through blue zones and getting rejections off red and yellow areas

im still pretty new to trading. still trying to get my prop account approved.
