Trading is extremely hard. It is mad torture. Losing a lot of money in the process will intensify your quest for success.

For xauusd, i had 6 different analysis on different tradingview brokers chart oanda, forex,fxopen,fxcm, pepperstone, eightcap. Spent a lot of time analyzing, second guessing and finding confluence. I do lose, but I try not to, or atleast reduce the impact. I know i said this already, but daytrading is pure torture

I also have a lot of automation at play, all piped from tradingview webhook to telegram. I got this alert 7hrs ago - I knew there was a dump that needed to happen. Just had to find the entry.

You should. This is an excerpt from a bot i created some years back. Once theres an alert, it calculates a +/- differential percentage of current price, then places two orders (+/- 0.6% current price depending on if youre shorting or longing) with 2 different tps (1.5% post price movement) and sl too.

As a confluence, yes. So 3 different ICT timings. Then I add it as a condition to my scripts.

So you could say alert if your_condition_met and isTriggerTime. I only then get the alert during silver bullet timings.

Two ema values - you can play around with 150 and 200.

When the price action crosses upwards above lower ema (150), and then retests on that ema, it definitely needs to touch the ema 200 (above)

As the old saying goes “it’s the hardest way to make easy money”. If you’re able to find your edge in the market, your earning potential is higher than a lot professions, as can be the freedom of your lifestyle. Those high professions you could match the income of are often a result of 3-4+ year university degrees, coming at extreme cost of time and money too.
To minimise loss of money in the learning phase, I traded only on demo and then when I thought I had a strategy, through prop firm challenges (so when I blew them up I was only blowing the challenge fees), but taught me everything I know about risk management.
Having said that, I don’t think trading is for everyone, but if you do choose to stick at it, you’re doing your degree!

@radiant sinew so.... I did everything you suggested and I made signals its the most bizzare bit of coding I have done. But I think it will work well for 5m chart scalping. There is a lot of confluence in this code. its not pretty as I could not be bothered to plot. The lines will show you whats its doing. I added lux in there to. This seems to correct for lux AI issues in flat markets. But I can use both at once. The description is:
parameters like swingHistory, plotSwings, ema150_length, ema200_length, tpValue, stopLossValue, and others through the script's interface.
M Farm Scalper - Swing Lows and Swing Highs: Determines swing highs and lows based on historical price data.
Swing Failure Pattern: Identifies patterns where a swing high or low fails (SFP).
StochRSI + EMA Strategy Calculations: Computes exponential moving averages

Crypto markets on the other hand are always open. Id go on your brokers website and see if they offer guidance on the times each market open/closes 🙂

Id like to see how gold reacts to the 1H EQ before taking a short. There is also a big FVG above the EQ what id be looking at too. Here is my 1 hour chart and a conservative entry would be to wait until price reacts with the 1H FVG. Some scenarios i think price 'could' do. There's no easy answer to this really. People learn to trade at completely different rates. You just have to put time and effort into it, if one is serious about learning to trade. It won't happen overnight.

psychology plays a big part of trading tbf. Exiting winning trades early/holding on to the losers. It'll all come with time though and having a trading plan and not deviating from that plan helps.

Well, before you enter any trade you need to decide what your TPs are. Set TP and SL, and never look back. Once TP is done, you can always go back to reanalyze the charts to see why you left early - but one thing you gotta do is control your greed. Something i always tell myself - “profit made isnt my money. I was just lucky, and I’m most def grateful”. Thats the mindset - no such thing as leaving money on the table. Take profit, no matter how little it is, and never look back.

yes.. this could work on many pairs. but i am xauusd focussed. I tend to leave with moderate profit. This technique works well on xauuusd. its basically having a car with a forward and reverse gear.
