I’m trying to create a strategy for S&O as opposed to PAC but getting no where with it

Yes, read everyone meticulously and then put them on the chart of the instruments that I trade and it’s most of the time a dud. And the more complex ones might get a set up every three months

And with the neo cloud etc I never know where to put stop, either at swing low, or the edge of neo cloud, but price often does go through neo cloud

I really want to stick with lux algo, but I’m seeing no progress after backtesting, there must be someone on here out of the 7k odd members who has a set up that actually works with S&O. Obviously the higher up you go, the better it looks, but I’m not buying EU on the daily timeframe and holding it for 3 weeks

So backtest it, go through a 100 trades and record the result for different stop and target strategies
There is no magic indicator which will give a profitable strat out of the box, regardless of whatever indicator you use (or none) you're gonna have to do the dirty work 'behind the scenes' or will probably end up failing or strategy hopping etc.
For example i know my profitable system can churn out 7 losers in a row over 50 trades. I know that thanks to my testing - if i didnt know that i would probably ditch the strategy if i run into 7 losers: now i dont because i know it is just probabilities playing out

I’ve done a lot over 50 trades, tweaking bits and bobs, for each different setting and like some of them are producing 11% win rates with over 10 losers in a row, risking 1%, that’s a shocker

Then how about backtesting the exact opposite? If your system has a 10% win rate then if you reverse the entry it is a 90% win rate... If the R:R adds up there could be potential there

Most recently I’m trying to incorporate the matrix to maybe give better entries rather than Blindingly taken the signals in confluence with like neo cloud, trend catcher and money flow etc, but I’m finding the chop and change in these signals/confluences are crap, the RR wouldn’t be there. Like finding you might go up 0.5R before reversing and hitting SL. Then think oh well, got the trend direction wrong, I’ve just got the opposite signal so should be better probability… tiniest profits, reverses again

least you're learning from each loss, i do that at end of the week. I go over my trades during the week and try note if i deviated from my trading plan/what went wrong/what went right to hopefully constantly improve and refine my strategy/entries.

Just paper traded that today on 1m NAS chart up until 3pm before the new and finished up 5.4 R. Obviously you probably could take off 2 R due to it on bar replay and spreads etc but still not bad

There is a guy that sells signals, he specializes in only supply and demand. Every time he calls a trade, the indicator is almost identical.

Yeah call it what you want, the smaller ones are from contrarian mode but they are much higher win rate and give early exit signals. Confirmation less win rate but catch the bigger moves when the trend kicks in. Like that decent move up after the news, it caught it before that happened
