Eurusd 96% negative correlated to dxy from march 2023 to now. Xauusd only 17%

Ofc there are certain events what brings gold up and dollar down on a shorter time frame there can be days that they are correlated

Yes, I use DXY and watch it for correlation on most FX pairs.
But is it the end all be all? In my opinion, no.
This is tough, as these pairs move in certain ways depending on US News that affects the USD, and depending on the actual countries news that affects their side as well. But we can all agree that the DXY affects most. Now gold, in theory, yes, dollar goes up, gold goes down. But this past year has been crazy, with US NEws and JP/FOMC and how the markets discredits JP, and the markets does what it wants. But, for the entire history of mankind, the markets, on average goes up, as well as gold. It has never ever went back to zero, always up, and the dollar has been the dollar. The dollar will never go to zero, but it will never go to a million dollars.

So that is my take...

Gold is a product.
DXY is your bank account.
You have 2 safes.
One for gold and one for DXY
When you want to buy gold, you are taking your money, the DXY, out of one safe, buy the gold, and putting the gold in the other safe.
Now you have more gold in one safe, and less DXY in the other.
Gold increases in one safe, the DXY decreases in the other.

If your data driven and use say a strategy what involves heavily on the use of the premium indicators, its good for backtesting that strategy and finding ways to tweak it without the time consuming manual backtesting which i used to it haha

But with you buying annual i presume, im not sure how that'd work. Could always drop customer service a message on website to see if you upgraded to ultimate monthly, how would it work with you being annual premium.
