hmm.. I think 1hr OB 15min entry would be quite interesting because it would give more set ups, 4hr OB with 1hr entry would be king because it would give a more solid entry and RR if one is patient enough. I will backtest with you and see the results

i think in that case one should just set a 1:3RR or 1:2RR the important thing is that you close in profit and the market doesn't turn against you before you are up in the morning. Or you take partials and let the rest run.

split your lot size in three portions, by the last one you must with have you must either BE at worst case scenario , and if trade goes well you would have hit tp on both sides you must a RR of 1:3 1 :5: 1:8 RR for each respectively. If strategy is perfect .you can go to bed and be smiling

Slippage happens during news trade .. I do not do news trade neither my FTMO account allows me to trade news trade due to the leverage account being 1:100 while swing account are low levs

Yea I know when slippage occurs I just didn’t know if news mattered so much since you are a scalper, I’m intraday but I just avoid pairs in the news that day, I have tried XAUUSD but man for some reason all my trend analysis on it just goes out the window

Then I come down to LTF 30m - 15m - 5m - 3m - 1m TF for entry levels

I keep switching TF every time before taking trades .. initially its annoying thou but by time you learn and tends to be easy

As I said I did backtest OB reaction (supply demand strategy) using 1 hour OB on 15 min time frame entries….. and it is incredible how price really needs to get from supply to demand zone . Using the simple strategy entry on reaction on 1 hour OB and exit at next 1 hour OB I did 16 trades and lost just one (just because a new OB showed up out of no where). Attached the pic. The pair is GBPJPY

considering this time (although i consider the idea that price goes from supply to demand or viceversa still valid) i use signals (short term) as confirmation to enter the trade and i take the trade till matrix doesnt give me a turning point in the overbought or oversold area.... so trades are little shorter and possibly you can scalp 3-4 trades till next ob (instead of takin just one) i would say win rate is quite high... i did some like 25-30 trades on 15 min time frame with 4/5 losses. pair EUR AUD. RR can go from 1:1 RR till 1:3 RR. STill good i would say . But what i like the most is that Signals and Overlays gives me extraconfirmation compared to take the trade almost blindly at OB reaction... so my mind feels more safe.

if your gold spread is .45 or more just dont bother

it is super hard to trade
