This is a tough to figure out. Especially with FX brokers as there is no central exchange, and each of us are trading in our brokerages liquidity pool, with brokers eyes that see everything. So yes, in the past, shady brokers are watching your trades and taking you out, this was in the past. BUT, these days, hopefully, this is rare now. But with reputable brokers, this DOES NOT happen. I use Oanda, I can attest, this does not happen.

@frail elk so not a stupid question, very legit question. FX is not like other assets like futures or stocks/options, which are traded in one centralized regulated exchange. FX does not have a centralized exchange, each broker has their own liquidity pool that we execute trades in, and in theory, in the past, some of these shady characters were, and did watch our Sl's, and took us out, they played us. But these days, does not happen often, as all eyes are on them, etc, and they welcome oversight with the local feds etc.....So if you chose a reputable FX broker, you shouldnt have this problem these days......

@echo kiln how do you determine if it’s worth entering a trade on HA or not? There’s only a few HA candlestick patterns so I’m assuming there’s usually another form of confluence that comes in.

There's a few ways I play the HA patterns, depends on what type of chart, PAC or Signals/Overlays, but very similar

For market structure PAC.....

If I see a traditional ICT SMC set up, I it for the HA pattern to print in the direction of my SMC ICT strat play

FOr regular candlesticks, I would wait for a choch or bos on the reaction of an OB.

So for HA, I would wait for that HA pattern to print in my trade direction

For Signals/Overlays....

The HA patterns will be my entry trigger in direction of catcher, and Matrix

and it can be re-entry in the same ditection after a HA pattern pause

But for me, I use HA mainly on Signals/Overlays, and for PAC, I use traditional candlesticks

Some traders use Matrix in other ways, that are just as effective as well. You just have to pick a few Matrix triggers, and test it and be consistent with it....for me, the Turning Points are GOLDEN!

Oh yeah speaking of Turning points, is it better to have a higher TS number or a lower one for 15 min TF trading? Since it can affect the signals a bit I sometimes find myself indecisive on that setting.

Just saw the pro strats tab with the 1H and 15 min TF. Pretty similar to the strat I’m using. Gonna copy it but use it with HA candlesticks.

Call me crazy, but Money Flow length on 5 might be the move as the last bit of confluence needed in the basic/barebones Trend Catcher strategy

Instead of using the Money flow thresholds, I can use the hyper wave as a dynamic threshold to scalp 10 pips. Once the money flow is at or past the hyper wave, then I can enter the trade, assuming all the other entry rules have been acquired.

Since most people tend to want to trade during trends, what time do ranging market traders trade EUR/USD?

I feel like EU (5min TF) with reversal zones, trend catcher, Ultimate Stochastic and OBs can make for a pretty simple ranging market strategy.

I’m thinking midnight EST - 6 AM EST.

Just a simple example. Having the length of the UStoch at 21 turn green and then have “confident” green candles can be an entry signal on its own, and the green trend catcher can be used as just a confirmation

Some of my old signals have vanished. Also earlier the swing trader preset used to give more signals now on 1 hr time frame it has vanished. I follow the 1 hr time frame very closely so I know the signals on which day they appeared etc. Unfortunately i dont have the screen shots.

Something is seriously fucked up. AUDUSD 1 Day time frame Swing Trader Preset with short term autopilot sensitivity has given only two confirmation signals 17th Jun 2021 and then straigt away 9th Jan 2023

Before taking a entry you must watch the moneyflow. As you can see the reversal signal appeared but the moneyflow was still near the thresholds. Then you have to wait for it to move away.

To add: Understand OB's / LL/HH / CHoCH / BOS .... get those under your belt and you wont go wrong

Quite a few traders, will load a chart, Signals & Overlays, the PAC and then the Matrix ...and spend most of their valuable time trying to understand whats going on ...and still ask the question on here shall I go Long or Short. START with signals & overlays first ... get to know the pair you are trading .... understand correlation (inc neg corr) and then tweak your trading psych on the S&O ..... once you achieve that move to the PAC .....then the Matrix

NEVER think that a pair is acting independently ..and that is moves on its own accord ....every single pair has corresponding two or three pairs that effect the target pair ...... know what ones they are .... either as a positive correlation or negative (above 80) ....

START with signals & overlays first ... get to know the pair you are trading .... understand correlation (inc neg corr) and then tweak your trading psych on the S&O ..... once you achieve that move to the PAC .....then the Matrix

NEVER think that a pair is acting independently ..and that is moves on its own accord ....every single pair has corresponding two or three pairs that effect the target pair ...... know what ones they are .... either as a positive correlation or negative (above 80) ....

Don’t know about passing prop challenge but with some back test and the right settings I’m sure they do. I know BlackBox and I’m in his community from where I got my bots that I don’t use as I don’t know 100% how they work to be honest. That’s something I’ll look at in the future though. So I know you like to use HA candles for this... do you analyze both TF using HA? I ask since it looks like the indicators differ when looking at it in HA mode vs regular candle mode... Or do you analyze the 1HR with regular candles and when your conditions are met and you get an "entry" signal on the hrly do you then switch over to 15 min HF to look for entry that way?
