Did anyone notice the engulfing 4hr candle on gold above the 100MA before the pump? In fact look at all the engulfing on the 4hr TF , almost every single one leads to 100+pips

Many look at small TF and think 🤔 this is a bull trap , big money trade on the big TF , my strategy is good but if you take every single setup blindly without any foundation you will not be profitable

Always analyze 1hr, 4hr, daily, weekly, monthly , i analyze the charts every single day , knowing what to expect even if it’s just a probability is much better than not knowing anything at all

I look at the 15 as well and patterns do work on smaller TF but only for a shorter period, I analyze 1hr TF and above , thats where you have more opportunities and better probabilities

M5- m15 just for entry and exits but not to analyze

This is what I mentioned earlier about the 4hr TF , These are the past entries on the 4hr TF , I seen price bounce off the 100MA with engulfing, also engulfings on pullback continuation

Then I take The entry using my strat at those levels

When price is too far on from the MA on the 4hr then i use the 1hr to look for rejection off MA’s and take trades from the 1hr

Always wait for a candle close to confirm the candle pattern

there are some indicators that will markup candlestick patterns so im sure you can set alerts , but i rather see it form myself, after an engulfing closes i look at the 5min for entry

most of the time i set my SL below the engulfing , it is rare for the price to come back down to fill the whole candle, so you will likely never get stopped out that way

Big players communicate with each other trough price action and patterns. So we need to think like the big guys if we want a little piece of the pie.

I look at all the possibilities on all high TF , I analyze timeframes individually, I’ll have trendlines on the 1hr price action, on the 4hr, monthly, weekly, ect

All timeframes can show you different patterns so I consider them all important

I use 10 , 30 and 100 MA on metratrader and lux algo setup on tradingview for entries

I look for price to be close to the MA 100 on the 1hr or 4hr for the best reversal entries

Main thing is knowing what trend we currently at, uptrend, downtrend, sideways

On a sideways market you will see price slowly approaching the MA to then make a break to either side , so I base off on the candlestick patterns on the Moving averages and key levels of support and resistance

This is my set up. Gold with Market Structure and Smart Trail from Lux Algo and VRoC from warrior504th. One thing to be careful about VRoC if you're going to use it is that red does not mean sell volume. Both buy and sell volume are green, since this indicator measures change in volume.
On SPX I have same to XAU, but with orderblocks and Stochastic.

A positive movement in SPX confirms my buy and a negative one confirms my sell

I use the time frames you see. Also a trick I learned an year ago that might help you. If you're looking at different time frames, ensure the main ones you use have a factor of 3 to 7. For example, 1 min and 5 min, 3 min and 15 min, 1 day and 1 week, 4 hours and daily. Like that

It's a correlation not many people know. I see people with 15 and 30 min charts and I get freaked out. Those are basically almost the same. The difference should be high enough but not too high

You have to pick your poison and back test like crazy to see which tf works better for you. Sometimes 3 min gets you in early and you are already out with profits while 5 min may not show entry at all. But 5 min also helps you to avoid fake outs compared to 3 min.

Tracer's good, no doubt. But tracer shifts a lot, especially when price trades near it's level. Smart trail is laggy but more solid for my wait and see approach, since I'm more of a slow trader

But on this screenshot you shared that was a risky trade , the first time it gave a Bos was a good setup as well and won ,

But this second setup you see how far the choch is from your entry conditions? As well has a strong Ob below with a strong bounce

It’s not 100% , but you can avoid some bad setups

I want to share with you ,my mistake trade during news. So before release I had open short ,closed once price start move down with 7 pips,after opened one more with 4 pips. Price start jump up and down because below was OB 30%,I thought they gonna brake it down ,once price start go through opened one more short,but it take of 20 pips right a way, later i been -90 pips. Din't close it because DXY was rip so price after couple hours come back ,and I closed it -1 pip. I found my falt . once they start push didnt see that no moment for short,and it cost me missing oportunity to make more profit.

Hi, I do use TV for my analysis, I have that on my mobile, no problem there. I still need to open the trades via MT5 though. We can get it on our mobiles here (I heard some countries can't?). I know @terse haven has mentioned using the mobile app. I don't know what had happened, as I was definitely on Gold, trying to open a short, but it opened Eur instead 🤣

From testing I have found that it increases the probability to have the trend tracer green for longs and red for shorts. My personal view 🙂

Premium Lux Algo is a very good indicator collection. That's why there's so many variations that all work. You don't have to even copy someone's style. Look at Javielitox's strat. I've already seen three iterations of his strategy that all work. That's the beauty of Lux Algo. However, the Premium indicators miss one vital ingredient: volume and volatility. Someone in the crypto chart tested all the Strong signals and came back with a 67% win rate. But there's no way to filter out bad signals. That's where volume and volatility come in. They can filter out bad signals. If you want to create your own set up consider a volume or volatility indicator.

For my version of the strategy I look for increasing volume relative to the direction of the signal. In the example below you see a long signal. Price is above the Trend Tracer and the Trend Tracer is green. The histogram is above 70. And, for me personally, the green volume bar at the time of the signal is greater than the previous volume bar. I use this volume indicator on other strategies and it works really well. You want the market to tell you what's it's doing, and there is no lag on Volume (or price!) 🙂

So, if I look to the indicator, the sells and buys are represented, the one on the upside is the one with higher volume, So if the green is on the top, there are more buys than sells. So, if all the rest of the signals are there and there is a green inreasing at the top, you go.

I have set up a screener of sorts using Apilio & webhooks. Basically the webhooks triggered by each alert change the value to true/false. Once all criteria are true, it sends me a push notification to my phone telling me there is a possible long/short set up. It works very well. You have to set up each pair seperately and for each pair, a true/false condition, and then logic blocks.

More pivot based information: using CPR (Central Pivot Range), you can 'predict' if it's going to be a trending or a ranging day. This is according to market phases. My CPR indicator shows here in the blue/pink dots. You could see yesterday = narrow range = trending. Today = wide range = ranging.

I just wanted to share what helps me a lot too. I like to trade on 1 min for quick scalps, I have a split screen and keep just STOCH RSI (bottom) on the 5 min. When everything lines up on 1 min chart, I look down at my Stoch RSI (which is 5 min) to make sure blue line is in the same direction. This way I don't have to flip back and fourth and everything is just on one screen.
