So Fomc wasn’t what many of us expected , I booked some losses today and well it’s part of the game , trading news is always a risk. I made 2 mistakes today which resulted in the loss ,

1- I didn’t book profits when I was in profit- got greedy
2- it’s personal- I fell asleep an hour before News and woke up after the whole move unfortunately

Anyone who was long should have known when to get out after seeing sell conditions align if using my strat . I know that if I would’ve been awake and seen this my losses could have been very minimal and I could have played the short side ,

Still on news anything can happen and it’s not recommended to trade news , also SL mostly never triggers on a massive move so I ended booking a greater loss on the whole wick down

If anyone booked loss like I did take this time to learn from what you did wrong so it won’t happen to you again

I’m just glad I didn’t go crazy with the lot size otherwise my account would’ve been blown

Just curious to know how you guys prefer to exit the trade. We all know our entry, but do you mainly wait for the candle to change color, ride it out until next block, set it forget it, etc? It is hard sometimes when you are in a trade and when things look like they are reversing, and you switch sides only to see your original target got eventually hit without hitting your SL. I personally am not able to watch the chart for a long time after I get in, so I typically just set my tp at 1.5r or the next block if it is close enough.

I been working on this issue, entries are pretty good , but TP has been everyone’s issue , and it’s understandable not everyone can stay watching the charts , normally targeting a proper RR should work good but also it all depends on market conditions.

You can plot maybe some moving averages or other settings that will help you stay in longer and get better rewards

I’m working and testing something that will definitely increase your TP targets and your average trade hold time to try to get the whole move before a reversal and not get taken out by pullbacks

But in reality my strat should NOT be used alone , that’s why micky also has his part in the strategy to give you an edge on how to use my strategy for the long run ,

Having a higher timeframe setup is important so you can know overall trend and only use my setup for your entries and go on from there

This is a killer. When the 89EMA and the dragon cross its effectively a breakout. Signal candle would be the one that coces outside thre 34EMA channel, but I use all the indis for confluece rather than rely on only one. Once I tp iwill not re enter the trade if it pulls back to the 34 EMA. I only trade the breakouts. I prefer the Asian session right now; breakouts usually workout good without the volatlity of the other session. My trading is done for the day and its only around 10am here.

Speaking of Jav, regarding your strategy, I changed alerts to Choch and Bos, personally prefer that, much less flood of alerts triggering

It shows that many people are not ready to learn this business. My advice to all the new traders is to use any information you get as a foundation to your own personal learning, also change your mindset that as soon as I start trading I will be making $$$$$$, it is not like that. Just an advice, you must have your own strategy which will only come from your own personal study, and can take you months to get started.

It should be okay as long as you’re not constantly using different IP addresses and locations from different log ins ,

they would suspect you of having other people trade on your behalf , if it’s your personal computer I think it shouldn’t be a problem, you can open a trade on PC and manage it on mobile
