Look, I only took 5pips before the news on USDJPY, and Not looking to do anything soon. Why, Ive been burned before being greedy and taking signals long and short everytime the signal flips flops. I am happy with my 5pips tody. Tomorrow it maybe be 20 pips, but for today, 5pips is better than a punch in the face. One stupid entry loss will get you deflated for the rest of the day and revenge trading sets it, then what? Ive learned my lesson......

Today the market moved nicely with CPI , Tomorrow will also be a very volatile day with FOMC, just a quick TA on Gold and what I think are important levels we should keep watching , Breaking todays high can lead to another leg up towards 1830-1840 , / on the short side we have 1780 support but we want to hold 1800's , Bias is still bullish for now if price holds the range zone I boxed, however trading news is risky and we never really know what direction price will go until it happens on Data release. Just giving in my 2 cents, don't consider this a financial advise lol

Depends on ur entry conditions, it’s important to know the overall trend as well on higher TF , per say if we’re in a uptrend I can mostly guarantee you that the long setups will likely give you better returns as to try and trade setups against the trend

This is likely to be because we’re sideways after that big move today , ranging market = avoid signals until there is a break of structure and you have clear direction

Based on the system yes all rules align, but always take caution when taking them , specially after a big move like today and when price is ranging , once you see a BOS after a range than setups are going to likely play ,

like most people don't know all those things, they read the pdf and rules and forget about the rest... for example there's like double the spread at this hour, or maybe they sell right into a major 4H support level because they don't markup the charts... you know, just the main things that you look up for before a trade 👌

I appreciate the feedback your are totally right , I do have my way of trading and don’t solely use the strat alone i always do top down analysis on higher timeframes. I check moving averages , mayor key levels ect ect .
The thing is that to cover this topic in whole is a lot to cover but I’ll try to compress it in a way that is clear and understanding specially for the newer traders and full explanation and examples of why some trades are taken and which ones to avoid , how to screen false entries ect

We’re not using the buy/sell signals since we are using the strat to enter the market on a choch or bos with volume /histogram, the candles it is set to short term frequency , the colors are likely to change when there’s buy or selling pressure normally when market structure is changing to the other direction,

You can adjust the agility and sensitivity on any other pair you see that the current settings are not so good , all my settings are set specifically for gold

On gold the colors are solid

Last night in the asian session there was a lot of talk about the emotional anguish some feel when taking profit early and seeing a big increase after. But I found that mind set, had to be chucked out real quick. Real emotional anguish is blowing your account from aiming too high too early.

It absolutely builds your account quicker.....new or years of experience. It made me an income before I switched sides. And I tried MANY different strats. Sniper entries were my bread and butter.

How many times has it happened that peeps pay too much attention to these screen shots of BIG wins. Forget that most of the time that particular trader would make smaller say 10 pip wins that they are still happy with, but not bother to share those screen shots. So they aim high, think well if that is what they can acheive I can too....but these trades are not EVERY trade. So you get a good entry....watch it go up to a nice level...think hey but that is not as high as "such & such" got, I can get more! Then...guess what, market changes and your trade plummets, all the time your thinking "damn why didn't I tp before...why did I get greedy". Crash hits SL....and you think this whole thing is rigged and your esteem gets crushed. @echo kiln sums this up well in the PDF with more elegance than my rambling.

and it's easier to hit a 10 pips SL than a 30 one... and if you get 5 pips per trade, but need 30 pips SL to get it, then you'll need 6 wins to recoup for one loss... it's not so simple either

no it's not... it's management... you don't just close the trades because you are at 10 pips now and you get scared... you manage the risk, go risk free when you can and trail your position, but you don't just close it without a sign of reversal or some shit

with the JAV strat for example, the SL is at least 20 pips... you can't go 1:0.5 RR or you'll need like 90% winrate

I didn't say that was a good idea. I use BE and trailing with a fair few trades. I don't just close without a good reason to. But I won't hesitate to close early if i can see the change or already at a nice profit and unsure of direction from here. It is all about management and having the knowledge to be able to make those decisions. I was saying that if traders are so focused on what others are achieving, only in the screen shots. They are going to have a false idea of reality and be so busy trying to match other's achievement's, that they won't be paying attention to what matters on their chart, personal circumstances, time allowances, funds etc. Everyones journey is different.

One exception to what I wrote above. I absolutely will end good trades early if I am very distracted or busy with the kids, or I am excessively tired, or psychologically not in the right mind set. I have learnt the hard way, that I won't make good decisions and I will miss crucial details under these circumstances. And there is no shame in that.

Last month for 4 straight weeks, before PAC release, I was just concentrating on myself. No purple shit or lavendar whatever. I took 5-10 pips hard TP on ALL my trades, traded 1 or 2 trades per day. About 21 days of trading. I think I had 17 or 18 wins, ZERO losses. But 1 trade went against me, canceled my stop, and bag held it as my entry was with the higher trend, and DCA one time. Got out of that at BE or I think +1 or 2 pips.

Then came PAC and took time out to try to learn it and experiment with it. So here I am getting back into the groove to concentrate again.

Its a realistic story 🙂 It's interesting though talking of scalping vs longer term trading. I used to use a 1hr strategy that was longer term, average holding of 3 days with a large PF and about 85% profitable. Not many entries, but solid. I still made more money with scalping the exact same strategy on a shorter time frame with a much lower RR. Compounding may be the secret, or volume of trades...not sure. But it is not always going to be these 1hr+ timeframe strats that make the most money.

So for example, basing off of the daily I see a pull back and a rejection of a key level I would zoom into the 1hr, then 15 looking for break of trend and bos. Then use the 5 minute an for entry.. then every time I see a pull back on the 4hr or 1hr, I will be zooming into lower tf for bos and and a 5min @terse haven strategy conformation to enter again. But once again I am basing off of the 4hr or daily so my target is higher and will take longer. Which is more pips

Based on my experience, when I was a new trader, I wanted to be in a trade, no matter what. When I started, I had the urge to have an open trade, then I was suffering of all the emotions by watching the price hitting my SL. I probably learnt (tbh still learning how NOT to enter a trade, even when the set-up is there, by looking the birds eye perspective) a hard way. And I just didn't listen to the experienced traders, when they were talking about it's a marathon, not a sprint, and how to play safe. I think everyone's learning curve is a bit different, based on the trader's personality, my one was painful for me, and still painful sometimes, but I got to the stage to stay around BE at least.
