hi, do you have your alert setting on 'once per bar close' or 'only once'? if its on 'once per bar close' then you should normally receive the choch alert once the candle closes and confirms choch. if you set it on 'only once' you would have receive the alert on the candle that ended up causing the choch but wicked below causing unconfirmed choch.

Very good point here , not all setups should be taken, specially after a nice run we likely get this sideways and possible reversals .

Prior to the setup u shared here it had ran down nicely. Therefore the best entry for a short was already given

If i would consider to continue short I would want to see a BOS below the current swing low . Always look at the bigger side of things .

But for confirmed signals yes you will get an alert after candle close and the bos or choch is fully confirmed that is normal

As for your delay in the receiving of the alert I wouldn’t know how to help but #🤝support will help you

Try deleting all the alerts and create new ones , also make sure that in the input settings u have selected the alerts you want to trigger

Let’s say price comes back to the order block and holds as support

Yes there probably has been a few nice short entries past few hours or days. But not all short entries will work. So filtering out your trades with HT may help with that. If you set the alerts and then you change your settings or sensitivity then you need to make alerts again, keep in mind that setting alerts will stay with the settings u used to set the alert even after you change settings

So you are probably triggering alerts from a different settings and not the one that is currently on your chart

The ob was created in the swing high after the choch confirmed but it’s to far of a stretch for me to place my SL, it’s Not a setup i like

Now the second Bos has a tighter SL on the ob so I would probably have taken that trade looking for a continuation to the downside

But since it moved fast I still don’t like the setup

Im also bullish on gold so im Not really looking for shorts right now but with inflation news coming tomorrow , I wouldn’t doubt we just free fall all day

Yes always try to trade the bigger picture, the trend is your friend

There will be some nice short opportunities and if you know which one to take then it’s great but would probably run into some bad setups since price is still considered to be on a uptrend

If we start going bearish on the 1hr I would look for potential shorts to a major support level, but keeping in mind that the 4hr or daily even the weekly could be bullish and we’re just on a retracement to then continue the trend

So hopefully by now, everyone has Jav's strat down pack. And hopefully you understood my birdseye point of view to zoom out. So now find your own way, taking Jav's entries every daay should give you net positive, because we all know its not 100%, but you will be safe if you follow the rules. You can filter out some of these trades if you take a birdseye view. This may require you to sit o your hands and watch everyone else take entry/exit profits going against the birdseye view, but thats ok. Just find your way...(what did they say? trend is your friend? but what trend HT will you use? thats the holy grail question)

If gold or eurusd too fast, try usd/jpy, my fav 🤷🏻‍♂️

Price closed below the low DR. Indicating that the high is probably in (88% chance) for the session, so we look for a OB in premium (above the equilibrium of the DR). We bounced perfectly from the OB. S/L above the high DR and TP at the low IDR.

Gold was a little rollercoaster today, why? H4 overall uptrend, but H1 has a leg down for the morning so far, this means no mans land, you had some good shorts, and good longs, and few smacked you in the face, to say...WAKE UP

Agree, anyone can learn to scalp and be successful, I love to scalp regardless of what the dam H4 or H1 tells me, and yes, I have the m15 and m5, and sometimes I go even lower to scalp my 10 pips. I just wanted to give some pointers for new traders or traders that consistently blow their accounts, to sit back and get birds eye view, be patient and get some winners under their belt to get the confidence back. It sucks when your deflated and depressed, not good.

I just want to share what i been using. Using jav strat .. im using 4m tf with heinkin candle. Since it super early i only take when its all align even trend tracer must align not just price action above or below .

As per back testing this has no difference on m5 but gives better entry most of the time. Im using 35 pips sl fix.

the strategy is on the 5min yes, and it also works on the 15min maybe more safe but will get a really late entry,,, you can use the 15min to hold your trade longer after you took entry on the 5,,, im working on improving the strategy in a few ways without changing the main entry rules .. we got a really good entry setup, now im working on maximizing TP , but to ur question that image is not part of the strat or entries, but using a higher TF you can trail the trade better and get more out of it then you would on the 5min

The 5min strat can be used well for scalping no doubt about that

But use it to your advantage if you Not a scalper you can use it to take your sniper entry based off your higher timeframe setups and levels you are looking to take trades
