I usually look for breakouts with us30/100. They don't happen often and doesn't seem to have a specific session that it happens lately. On the 5min I've always been happy with a 1.5 to 2R. Usually I just use a trailing stop so I'm fine with whatever I get. I much prefer gold but if it's not doing anything then I'll watch them 2.

Real potential for sure. Advanced Oscillator seems a must presently, along with PAC. I do like the ultimate as it does sometimes give that glimpse into future too

I think it does delay my entries on PAC but in a positive way. I’m getting better results in backtesting v’s what I would normally do

Also Ive noticed that just because its an ascending triangle doesnt mean its going to break to the upside and vice versa, descending wedge doesnt mean its going to break to the downside, you gotta be open to either direction and I'm gonna try and follow MA's

I believe Jav enters/exit when bar closes above/below it with the histo rules 70/30. He also uses tracer as SL level as well. Im not positive if the catcher is one of his main rules. Ill let him chime in on that. You could use is as TP when it flips?

Learn strategies in trading .. aim for big bigger pips .. generate more scapling profits ... use lot size of 0.15 for every 1000 USD in equity ... always use Sl for every trade you do ... wait patiently 😌 and results will be in front of you

If you are looking for cheaper smaller accounts then MyForexFunds is the way to go

You study and analyze. So when you target bigger profits and get stopped out over and over again, what does that do? You get shattered and disappointed and want to give up because all this is BS and a scam, right? All your hard work in studying charts and your account is blown.

So the purpose of 5 pips?

It’s easier to win at 5 pips.
It’s a self esteem booster.
Confidence booster.
It will solidify all your education and chart study.

You feel better that you control your financial success.

Then once you start to do this on a consistent basis, increase lot size.

Many don’t realize this at all , I rarely make it to 50-100pip trades most of the time and people tend to focus on big runs , when all you need is just a little bit of the movement to make insane profits.

That’s the reason I scalp, I don’t need to be in a trade for days or 1000 pips tho we would all love that , but all I need is to get in and get out with my profits and enjoy the rest of the day

If you can hit 5pips per day with no fail then u start aiming for more or simply increase lots like @echo kiln micky said,

This is a hard question to answer , it depends on the market conditions, sometimes you will see a setup sometimes you won’t, so as for how many trades it all depends on your strategy and how many times your entry rule aligns to give you an entry

For me I see atleast 1-3 good setups per day on gold but there is also times I sit in my hands if the setup is not at a price or level that I feel comfortable taking

As for how much you can make in the trade all going to depend on how strong the trend is once you take entry. Some are big runners and some are smaller runs

Not really, left at 3 on purpose, as you can extend per your style, some/most traders view OB's importance over FVG's. If you plot all the FVG's on a chart, you will get about 20-or more FVG's depending on your TF chart. So which FVG are you going to fade? all of them? But for OB's, there's just a few, internals, or swings, and premium/equil/discount OB zones

Oh that reminds me. Remember that institutional movement on gold I was looking at, turns out it was a 1 hour OB. And yes, I agree with you, though 3 is still a tad too easy to miss.

For me, I dont plot FVG's, there's just too many for me to deal with....its a crap shoot to figure out which of the 20 fvg's on my chart will be good to trade off of.

OK fair enough. BUT, when price goes up a few bars or goes down a few bars, it will HIT a fvg. Doesnt matter where the price goes, there is a FVG a few bars later. If you use a smaller TF chart like m5, these FVG's are like random 20-30 horizontal lines on a chart.

Again, only my opinion, and just wanted to help EVERYONE here that are just losing trades left and right. You have to zoom out

before lux fvg, i used to use this all the time and its pretty accurate and spot on - put this and lux side by side and fine tune lux - u can even use replay mode to see based on ur settings, which FVGs hit/were important

XAU/USD - OK lets look at everyones recent favorite pair, GOLD. Bottom chart was last friday H1, Top chart m5. I turned off PAC, LuxPrem and turned off my oscillators. I just left the LuxPrem gradient colors on, and used a simple moving average indicator. I just want everyone to see a birds eye view. I am not an expert at detailed technical entries. But @terse haven and others are better at that. Based on the H4 and H1 Gold, for friday, we just look at long entries. Yes, there were juicy short entries, I know, I get it, but lets play it safe and sit on our hands for now. Now that we decided to only look for long entries, go down to your lower TF chart, maybe m15 or m5 or m1, whatever you want that makes you happy. Then wait for the trigger entry based on what you are comfortable in using. You can use LuxPrem, or Lux PAC levels. Use Jav's choch/bos histo bar rules for entry. Doesnt matter, as long as you know, the odds are in your favor if you only look for longs. Take your longs, 5pips, 10 or 20 or whatever your heart can handle. Rinse and repeat. This doesnt win 100% of the time, but at least, you tiled the scale in your favor. Thats all that matters. Get that edge. Instead of 50/50 odds, make it 51/50 and higher for you.

This teaches you to be patient and to sit on your hands. No problem in shorting it, but for struggling traders, lets make it simple. Make your brain to get ready for Longs on that day. Its a whole lot easier than looking for both longs and shorts....

Example. Stand on a sidewalk. If I told you, for the next 2 hours, to count the numbers of blue cars, red cars, and yellow cars and keep track in your head. Versus to only count the number of blue cars in your head. Which one is easier and less complicated?
