I understand that we might optimized the signal sensitivity and agility for each crypto pair. But, when I one settings, the other pair settings also changed based on the last parameter entered. So, how to keep each pair settings remains for

themselves?

hey & welcome 🙂 --- that is correct, settings don't save for each pair automatically within TradingView. You'd have to save chart layouts of the specific settings you want to use for each specific ticker, or note down for your watchlist which settings you have configured for each ticker/timeframe.

It seems that I had an indicator that interferes with Lux, works now… I just have to play with hiding indications that are not coded the way they should maybe? For some reason bringing LUX to front doesn’t change anything I have to remove the other indicator

I personally set alerts at lower time frames and during my trading hours use a timer app to check every interval I'm trading in (every hour or 15m)

Anything below 50% Lux volatility is Ranging and anything above 50% is Trending, it can be a useful tool when increasing or decreasing lot size. Although markets are unpredictable, we cant control how fast it will move in one direction within seconds. Right!

that would be the alert for the osc indicating an overbought market, you can use 70 instead of 80 or any other value that would indicate an overbought market. For oversold use "Crossing Down" instead of crossing up, and use a value equal to 20 or similar.

A signal is confirmed only once the candle is closed. Meaning a signal could appear on your chart but is not confirmed until that candle is closed and the next candle has started.

Our automated Discord bots will never notify you on any signal until the candle has closed and confirmed it. If you're adding alerts for Lux signals in TradingView - make sure to select "Once per bar close".

is it only confirmed if a following bar closes higher then the signal bar?

or if it does not change on the close of the next bar then it is confirmed?

You just select LuxAlgo premium

You need to use the all in one alerts

Scroll to bottom of Lux settings

Tick exit buy

Go to alerts creation

Select Lux algo

Select any alert function

And you're good

consecutive exits can happen, if a strong trend is expected they would suggest a partial exit instead of a full one 🙂

it can happen if many indicators are loaded on the chart, make sure that the indicator is at the top of the visual order tree, else try applying it again

its not directly indicated, and an additional analysis would be needed to evaluate if the trend can persist, for example, the price outside one of the zones would imply a very volatile move, that may continue. Thats one example amongst others.

they are both very different optimisation methods, they should not be mixed, if you want the best sensitivity and agility then optibot is what you need 🙂

I've also been using Advanced Volume (volume++) from another TV Dev called FractalTrade15, in conjunction with Lux. After an update to Volume++ however, Lux's gradient candle coloring becomes disabled when Volume++ is present.

I have spoken with FractalTrade15 and tried to debug, but they couldn't find anything that could cause the conflict in their end.

Just wondering if you could think of anything that might cause such a conflict?

There is a setting in the updated version of Volume++ that relates to candle coloring, but changing it has no effect on the lux gradient. The previous version (version 4) did not have this setting, and did not cause this conflict.

I run a webhook from tradingview to my own endpoint where I process the entry. I currently have the settings set to autopilot, and I've noticed that sometimes the tradingview charts don't show those entries that were fired in the past after some time has elapsed . Does autopilot dynamically adjust settings into the past? Or does it calculate one set of settings for the current moment and propagates it into the past? In the first case, it would always show the same entry locations, while in the later case, it would alter historical entries.

I see that if I turn on autopilot+confirmation signal mode but also use contrarian candle colour mode, those candle colours will be based off the current agility/sensitivity settings. Since autopilot does not work for contrarian signal mode, I have to manually, based on the dashboard optimal contrarian sensitivity have it input to update the contrarian candle colours (which I add a 2nd lux indicator to only enable the dashboard for this purpose).

Wondering why autopilot wouldn't handle contrarian signal mode (and hence the contrarian candle colour being automatically updated)?

i'm using 5min TF for the breakout zone strategy, is higher TF better?

Would anyone be able to give a bit more elaboration on these behaviours for Trend Catcher?

As you may see those red arrows at the left side (green trend catcher) moves very closely to each candles (on 1D chart) and those arrows at the right side (red trend catcher) almost doesnt respond to the changing price leaving large gaps between candles and the Trend Catcher and remains flat for 3 weeks (all 1D candles).

What does this imply?

True test of algo is in both bear as well as bull market. Since we are in bear market what indicator you would use and in which timeframe to detect that market turned around from its bottom. And something for confirmation as well.

Very high timeframe (1d+) reversal zones for bounces depending on the volatility of the asset you’re looking at is a good strategy

uptrend or downtrend is no different, i’d say it’s not much about bull vs bear market with our tools; it’s about ranging markets vs trending (up or down) market conditions

for ranging markets, contrarian signals, reversal zones, predictive ranges, & legacy oscillator will comes most in handy

I was trading TSLA on 5 minutes and I took a PUT Position after the sell signal was made at 13:40 EST. I closed the position in another 10 minutes with some gains. However, when I am reviewing my trade, I don't see that signal anymore.

hmm, i'd say this is only answer:

refresh and try again, make sure you're on the right TV account, and that you entered your TV username correctly in the portal

if that's not working, shoot a quick email to [e-mail] and they will check the backend (just 3-4 hours it'll be fixed)

Its just that I've had a 15H chart up for a couple days and its been on 10 sensitivity. I just noticed that it stayed on 10 when i switched to 1H. Wondered if it might be broke... thats all.

Also, Does autopilot have ANY effect on contrarian buy/sell or contrarian gradient ? Is there any point having it checked if i'm using both contrarian settings?

switching timeframes doesn't automatically change sensitivity, it is all manual unfortunately

if you wish to not have to worry about adjusting settings, i reccomend autopilot -- it's dynamic & a different algorithm and you don't have to change anything

it does have an affect on contrarian gradient actually because it changes the signals, if the signals change - the candles change since they are synchronized with eachother

When I have both Contrarian signal mode, and Contrarian Gradient candle mode selected, checking and un-checking the autopilot doesn't appear to have any effect.

Even if i start by changing the sensitivity so something crazy (like 150) first for visual reference, then check autopilot to ON, nothing happens. It does not appear to have any effect on either the Contrarian buy/sell signals OR the contrarian gradient.

Any thoughts?

yeah i am pretty sure it's just the active sensitivity affects the candle coloring and autopilot is not taken into account -- we will look into this and see if it needs to be altered

Question on the Optibot settings.... since the optibot are calculated once a day, and the autopilot is calculated in realtime, wouldn't the autopilot settings be more accurate?

I've got two SPY charts up, one with optibot and the other with autopilot, and the resulting MTF trend projections are completely different. Makes sense, just trying to decide which one to trust more. Those longer timeframe trend projects are super handy when trading a 5 min or lower timeframe, just want to make sure I'm getting the most out of them.
