It's a simple simple answer;
You cannot backtest an indicator. Only strategies. Hopefully no one follows confirmation signals blindly. If you open a chart there are plenty of signals that go into profit however the next signal comes late making it a loss. With a good strategy of TP or SL this would totally change the result of the trade

Let's take this as a nice example

Signal goes into nice profit

However if you sell on a sell ends up as a loss because the trader has no TP method in place

Exactly the same applies to stop losses too

Backtesting confirmation signals raw (unless you plan to follow them blindly which we don't recommend) is totally useless as adding a TP method let's say would totally change the result and totally invalidate the backtest. Therefore providing any backtest for confirmation signals is totally useless, misleading to users and actually detrimental. It's in their name confirmation, they are for the confirmation of a trend

A signal with "Strong" is a signal in trend direction. A normal Sell or Buy signal would then be a Retrace ...
Is a normal Sell or Buy signal (so a retracement from the active trend) then also a lagging signal, right ?!

only signals in the active "Contrarian Mode" are considered Leading Signals, right? Because the trades are actively trading against the trend, because the moving averages, etc., which recognize the trend, can not yet recognize the trend and therefore the signal is a Leading signal, right?

I just want to try to spot smart money with OBV or MFI or Accumulation/distribution that could bring convergence to the Lux Algo institutional profile and Advanced Oscillator institutional activity? Hey I had a quick question im using optibot settings to change the sensitivity and agility on inputs. However everytime I do it for a crypto it changes the same settings on Nas100 or any other pair and vice versa. How can I change these settings for each specifically without it changing all of them

I setup xrp alert and got a signal for 9.30

However the actual sell signal was way earlier

Most likely selected “once per bar close” in the alert setting. Try “once per bar” which would alert you at the bar open instead.

Or otherwise can try to redo your alerts while the right settings are activated. You may have set up the alerts on a different setting before.

Red is resistance inittially however remember they can flip polarity

If a support is broken it becomes a resistance

the way i understand it, contrarian signals are best used in a ranging market (when the dashboard says ranging). They try to predict small pullbacks before they happen, whereas confirmation signals move with the trend and wait for a confirmation before appearing
