Both are different, optibot optimize both sensitivity and agility, while the recommend sensitivity on the dashboard depends on your current agility setting. Optibot is more precise but is limited to certain assets/tf.

optibot can't be seen from or integrated in tradingview, only Discord. The best option for Tradingview is either the recommended sensitivity or autopilot. It can be a good idea to add the optibot tickers of interest in a watchlist, altho indicator templates can be more handy.

Recently been having issues with alerts not firing until a full 10 mins after signal was called. What can I do? I’ve tried using different call signs “after bar close” “once per bar” nothing seems to help it.

once per bar close is the one that should always be used. Note that alert are based on the settings used during their creation, so if you changed settings after creating the alert this might be the reason you are confused.

Try recreating the alert, and wait for an alert to trigger, see the date it trigered in the alert log, if you see a delay then it can mean tradingview is having an hard time, but its unlikely.

Yes sure.... different data will give different results. The issue is that on the second chart I am not seeing any results, using the same settings, no matter the TF or any other metric. Maybe the question should be... Why do I not see Predictive S/R, pattern detection, on the second chart? Anywhere?

the detected pattern on your second chart is a double top, when pattern detection is selected in SR Mode you will have a new cell in the dashboard telling which pattern is detected (if any). Double tops are highlighted by a blue line connecting the tops.

When no patterns are detected dashed lines are displayed and the dashboard will say "No Pattern".

Using the same settings across various tickers is not necessarily a good thing, for signals you can eventually use the optimal sensitivity displayed on the dashboard or use autopilot, regarding the pattern detection a SR significance of 1 is very low, and we often recommend 5/6.

Problem is that alerts cannot be exposed in the data window and then I cannot export signals to my own indicator. This is actually a really easy implementations. Pinescript just allows you to export 1 variable at the time.

If you watch the videos it tell you that the signals are meerly to get your eyes on the trade. Then if you have then you will want to wait for a green confirmation candle to close on that time frame you are watching. You will see that some have purple candles after the alert and I believe the video and guide say not to enter on those but wait for a green one

or red if its a sell/short confirmation

Just a quick question here. I set up an alert on BILI on the 4hr for any confirmation and set it for once the bar closes. As you can see it alerted at 13:30. I went to the chart and there was a sell signal there. I later went back to look at the chart and the signal is gone? That totally depends on how you use the confirmation signals in your trading. Some users prefer higher settings, you may prefer lower. It depends on how you trade. I tend to recommend nothing <6 for sensitivity. Default is a nice middle ground most of the time.

You can close a trade based on many factors. You could use exit signals, you may wish to use predictive ranges, you may want to use the TPSL tools

Really a massive variety of features you can pick from there 🙂

The market is dynamic, as such optimal settings can change. You would need to change the settings every-time new ones are posted, and remake the alerts as well. If you dont want to go through this process you can use autopilot, which allow you to not have to change settings or recreate alerts.

@timber badge just tweak the settings until lux is giving the signals you like. simply review the past history of the asset and where lux would have signaled.

could you elaborate on personalizing the settings to fit my trading style? I don't think the coin I'm trading is on the optibot settings to the left but I did find setting the signal setting to 26 for that coin and leaving it is very accurate but I would like to know if I also need to adjust the confirmation signal agility because if it was another coin like in the optibot section then I probably do need to adjust it

@lunar bronze yes you just adjust the sensitivity and agility until the signals are appearing how you would like them. I’m actually not a fan of the optibot settings usually. If you’re new to trading I would highly recommend using lux to assist you with trading on higher time frames, placing only a couple trades per week and always trading with the trend.

YES cannot just use the BUY/SELL tag. Gotta use all the other tools there also. Which is why When the tags pop I look at the oscillators, trend tracer/tracker etc. Another reason why I trade off longer time frames

Depends on your trading style. I am a swing trader since its better for my sanity lol. So I trade off the 4hr mainly which also allows for more data and conviction of trade since you have 4hrs of data in the candle.

I have personally seen better returns taking less trades on longer time frames then trying to take more on a shorter one.

Hello, i'm trying to figure out what sensitivity and agility i should use for DXY and US10Y in the 4HR and 2HR chart. Is there guide that gives the formula in order to come with the best sensitivity and agility settings per chart? i look at the optibot's settings but there is no settings for dxy or us10y. any help will appreciated. thank you

I dont think there is a specific guide on certain things. 12/26 is the default for catching medium to longer trends.

You can tighten things up by pulling up a chart on the default settings and then manually going in and messing with the settings so it tightens up finding the top and the bottom but just remember that you set if for that specific ticker so its not always going to align with the others. So if you trade ABC alot then I would set up the Lux on ABC ticker for the 2hr or 4hr then tweak it to how you want it, save that template in trading view as ABC 2hr or whatever time frame you choose. so then when you go back in those settings are saved and when you load that chart you can just click on the template and it will pull those saved settings up

@silk bloom ummm idk man. I'm not sure what you're asking. You hold an asset for however long the trend is profitable, ideally.

@silk bloom crypto price tends to pop off on saturday and sundays. it's been doing so since 8pm CST today. You may think that would put you at a bad entry and you may be correct. But it tends to trend upwards after friday. Hit highs on saturday and/or sunday. Crash on monday, spike again monday evening. I like to use a 10 period EMA and 200 period EMA to follow the trend. The 10 period crossing the 200 gives great entry signals.
