We will not do it in the foreseeable future for a good few reasons:

• We build indicators and a whole suite; providing backtests with one type of signal gives a LOT of focus on that and then other features (that are just as good if not better) may be ignored.
• We'd need to release another script which is a massive undertaking
• Signals aren't part of a strategy meaning there's no filtering method, no real fixed TP or SL methodology with them
• Backtests can misleading, positive or negative backtest results are not the best indications of future performance
• Vanilla signal performance may be awful alone as a case study; and the user may disregard the settings. However if you were to filter signals using a method the user may find a profitable method so was mislead by the backtest

Hi, I recently signed up to Lux and I'm getting issues in Tradingview. Often the setting button doesn't work on the algo when I want to make changes, so I'm constantly having to reload the page to get the algo setting button to activate. Is there a way to fix this? After a few candles later it returned to that position however its late by 3-4 candles at this point. The signal painted on the candle prior to the current candle that was nearing the end of the minute. Is this normal?

this is because the candle where the strong buy is occurring is very volatile, as such the buy signal would be considered strong. False signals (here the strong sell) can always occur, it possible to filter them out using additional entry conditions, this is generally what we recommend.

There can be a wide variety of ways, but an interesting one is to see if the price is about to reverse, for example if the price is within the lower zone of the reversal zone, or near a support level given by the predictive ranges, predictive channels...etc, then we can expect it to go up, as such we should be careful with this strong sell.

Regarding exits we can say that yes, false signals always contribute greatly toward the bad results of a strategy, exits should greatly help peoples using only the signals.

Additional conditions can sometimes help, its what we recommend, but its not always possible to add some in the case of a simple bot. I would personally recommend monitoring the symbols that the bots are trading, and disable them based on certain criteria (whether its ranging/trending, institutional activity, excessive volatility...etc), this is an interesting approach that is commonly done, some bots are often turned off before an important news due to potentially high volatility (risk).

not for the one on the dashboard, but it would be easy to do using the Volatility in the Lux Statistics Premium indicator, a trending market can be detected when the volatility is above 50% when using a relatively high length settings, so a simple crossover/crossunder alert using the Volatility could work.

Right now am testing in the similar lines. A confirmed buy/strong buy would take a trade only when trend tracer and catcher is green, oscillator is buy and volatility is trending (> 20% on length of 14) on 5m TF.

adding other conditions could lead to undesired results, more conditions wont promise better trades, its important to find the right amount, there should be a logic to them to. Colinearity should also be taken into account. At the moment I think your conditions are enough, you can also experiment with the reversal zones/predictive ranges.

For now with these conditions , its working good with proper risk management in place. Will need to tweak on risk management to secure more profits.
