Hi, I'm curious to know how the auto pilot works vs the optibot settings and which would be more profitable? I've found disparity with running autopilot where approx 4-5/10 trades are non-profitable - I'm using the 3m interval with ETH/BUSD trading pair - Is there also a reason optibot is only for the 4 time intervals and not more real time? Cause a close of the candle in a larger window means the price could have shifted much greater and the profit/loss margins can also be larger - which is because I was told to use once per bar close

If I'm honest, it really depends on each person. I've seen hundreds of different setups for scalping here.
Normally, if you come to Lux and you were struggling to scalp before, it's best to start with timeframes over the 15m since they tend to be easier to trade.
Most accurate signals may not be the best for a strategy. A user might use signals to identify trend direction so they'd have very high settings then use other tools to trade within that trend. Technically however you can use optibot, recommend sensitivity or autopilot to achieve "good standalone" settings

not possible at the moment, there isn't a plot for the lux volatility on the dashboard, however you could use the lux metrics set to the Volatility metric, you can set an alert to it and use a placeholder in the alert message {{plot_0}}, this would send the lux volatility value.

Note that 'autopilot' and optibot are two different things, autopilot will not adjust the indicator settings based on optibot. What Gecko said seemed to be relevant, as you want to mantain optibot settings for specific crypto pairs, indicator templates can allow you to do that, allowing you to save specific settings for specific timeframes/cryptos.

The recommended sensitivity is mostly i way to provide some guidance for tickers/tf that are not supported by optibot, optibot will generally be more precise. Optibot has many upsides compared to optibot, such total autonomy, it won't require you adjusting settings at all, bit it is hard to say if it's more accurate.

With some tweaking to account for broader market direction (looking at the daily for instance) it should do even better. I appreciate that the lux algo is meant to be used in combination with technical analysis. Thus asking it to perform in this way might be a bit of a challenge, but I think it’s doable, if one knows what they are doing.

I put an indicator to recognize the divergence before the reversal.
I just don't know if I'm programming this correctly.
The only way to put this on the graph was to define the signal to be triggered when the divergence appears and it is smaller or larger than the Luz Algo reversal zones.

you must remove some indicator already on your chart to add the Lux ones, this is a tradingview limitation, you can remove them by hovering on the indicator title and clicking on the cross (remove)

So you'll see various methods of smoothing the oscillator data. The oscillators output needs smoothing to reduce noise for the user. So we provide various smoothing methods which each have advantages or disadvantages over each other.
As a generic example:
A normal 100 moving average smooths 100 candles worth of data.
A 100 WMA would put more weighting on recent data points making the smoothing in a sense more reactive to current price action

Yep alerts are based on your current settings at the time of creating them

Optibot settings will change overtime, there isn't a way to avoid having to update them as they change - which is the downside to using other methods compared to Auto-Pilot. Auto-Pilot doesn't use any settings, it allows the signals algorithm to adjust dynamically to market conditions and provide an estimate of optimized signals

Is there any advanced guide to managing alerts ? Like really advanced though ? i have managed to setup the basic allerts. Like i get alerts on basically all the signals but i want to manage individual Messages for allerts. E.g : I have on the BTCUSDT 30m chart an Alert that uses the [Any alert() function call] and gives me alerts on: Contrarian Buy/Sell, Buy/Sell and Strong Buy/Sell. What i would like to do is pair with each alert a custom message. EG getting a different message for Buy and Sell alerts.

It's important to read the docs to make sure you know how to load things

Okay I got it working a little better but stop losses are a little screwy when loading and the support and resistance lines or the predictive ranges are screwy at times also

@icy trout You can use the the catcher as input for the legacy osci

then use that to alert on cross

Use length 1 for the oscillator

oh my bad- yes 5 should work basically, any momentum oscillator will work with it 🙂
