I use the main algo on the 1m chart and get the volatility value off the oscillator

However due to it being on the 1m chart it fluctuates a lot

And - differs from what the infobox says - that one seems to run on higher timeframes - is that right?

Sorry, I miswrote. I'll try again lol. I want to get (in the best scenario) the label within the main algorithms infobox that says "ranging" or "trending" in my confirmation/contrarian signal alerts. Since I've been told this isnt possible I went ahead and extracted the volatility information from Lux Volatility and keep sending it in another alert to my script for it to be processed at the same time. But I've noticed that the ranging/trending calculation I do on my side off the Lux Volatility value is not as good as the simple Trending/Ranging label in the infobox

I'm coding a script that will trade automatically on signals from Lux Algo

So I reckon I need a way to filter out contrarian signals if the state is trending

the trending/ranging calculation we use is different from the lux volatility, you can request in #🔍feature-requests for the state to be included in the alert message if you want, at the moment it is not possible to extract this information.

The difference between Optibot & autopilot, is that optibot is based on backtesting data to generate Sensitivty & agility settings you can input to get the best results, vs Auto Pilot which allows the signals to operate completely without settings. Optibot is the most accurate, but the downside to manually adjusting settings is that you have to constantly update overtime due to market conditions varying. Auto-pilot is a better use experience because you don't have to adjust settings ever. It's up to your preference

Here was my experience. I have used LUX for nearly a month now. I don't rely solely on it. I mainly trade of support resistance and volume. The first red circle at the bottom was where i entered my intraday trade. I received 2 signals, 1 sell and 1 buy. It is very hard to predict what will happen and it is very easy to solely rely on the LUX signal, however, I used volume on the middle two signals and i knew it wasnt time to close position. I rode it to the top before the final sell signal. At that time I knew that bulls had banked and were moving on and bears were taking over. I exited. That was a 150% run more or less

Sorry I thought they’ve been 2 confirmations on this timeframe on btc/usdt where it actually was only one so it was correct and on the other coins I had the 2h timeframe and not the 15m-30m so it makes sense that there wasn’t any confirmation there, right now I have set up an alert on the 1m timeframe on Ada/usdt so I can test it and check if it works or not

you can set the alert as follow, you will be alerted each time the line cross under the upper level (0.75) and cross over the lower level (0.25).

When the lux volatility cross under the upper level we can expect volatility to decrease, when it cross above the lower level we can expect it to increase.

Unfortunately the closing price did not cross over the RZ-S2 at that precise time, which explain why an alert did not trigger, a crossover occur when price(t) > RZ-S2 and price(t-1) < RZ-S2, that is the close is higher than the S2 while the preious closing price is lower than it.

You can get alerted for the green candle highlighted by your orange label by setting an alert when the price cross under the RZ-S2 🙂 Hope this helps.

Have the engineers at LuxAlgo created a website for us LuxAlgo VIP customers to input our channel data and TradingView data; and the website will auto generate the webhook message that POSTs TradingView alerts to a Discord Channel ? Does LuxAlgo have such a webhook message generator website ??

Unfortunately the closing price did not cross over the RZ-S2 at that precise time, which explain why an alert did not trigger, a crossover occur when price(t) > RZ-S2 and price(t-1) < RZ-S2, that is the close is higher than the S2 while the preious closing price is lower than it.

You can get alerted for the green candle highlighted by your orange label by setting an alert when the price cross under the RZ-S2 🙂 Hope this helps.

Hi - since using lux algo I get blank screens on TradingView iPhone / iPad after 5-10 minutes. Only labels remain - everything else disappears incl. other indicators, candles etc. Never had that before

that would be up to you, if you want to use trend following candle coloring you should use confirmation or confirmation gradient, you can use contrarian candle coloring if you use contrarian methodologies. You can also use a specific type of candle color and use another different feature, such as confirmation signals + contrarian candle coloring.

I want to create signals for All pairs for my bot ( I know that you are not recommending this!! 😀 ) . I have been able to find a solution in TV that loops through pairs to get signals using built-in indicators(e.g. RSI) but requires Algo signals to a variable that I can use in pine. Alternatively if I can a scanner that does some similar to your Scanner but for all pairs would be great. Is there anyway you can direct me to a script that does that?

it is possible, if you edit the alert, click on 'Condition', and see a new instance of the LuxAlgo Premium in the drop down menu, then it means the indicator on the chart is not using the same settings as your alert.
