A signal is confirmed only once the candle is closed. Meaning a signal could appear on your chart but is not confirmed until that candle is closed and the next candle has started.

Our automated Discord bots will never notify you on any signal until the candle has closed and confirmed it. If you're adding alerts for Lux signals in TradingView - make sure to select "Once per bar close".

question ... with alerts in Trading View, could you provide a map that shows what the codes in the TV alerts match to in the chart? I know where RZ R1 and RZ S1 are ... but what is Cloud 1 and Cloud 2? I like to experiment with the candles touching or closing into the cloud in the middle of the channel but I don't know what Cloud 1 and 2 refer to ... thanks.

I found this sentence in the FAQs.

"If you want to set alerts based on the EQ Cloud, note that during an uptrend the upper plot of the EQ Cloud is named as "Cloud-2", while the lower plot is named "Cloud-1"."

That's not helpful. What is 'upper plot'? Is that the top line of the cloud? Is the 'lower plot' the bottom line of the cloud and is Cloud-1?

Do the reference points for Cloud 1 and Cloud 2 change if the chart is in downtrend? If so, then that would be impossible to use for alerts because you would have to change the setting of the alerts when the trend changes ... and that sort of defeats the purpose of it.

I want to explore a trade based on leaving S1 [and initiate a LONG] and reaching the bottom margin of the cloud which would initiate closing the long. I don't know if that would work for a trade but want to explore it. And I don't know if I can set that in the alerts.

The documentation clearly explained the plot names, in the case of an uptrend Cloud 2 will be the upper plot (the one at the top of cloud 1 if you prefer, in green in the img), while in the case of a downtrend Cloud 1 will be the one at the top (in red in the img), hope this helps.

Can Lux Algo be added as a private strategy so that someone can backtest their own strategy settings and see the results on the Strategy Tester, I've seen strategies where they are private in that they are not visible in Pine but can still be backtested?

It's difficult to backtest your own settings by just looking at the chart and in the case you want to backtest data from few months ago for example, needs a lot scrolling and observing how the chart is reflecting your settings

Great, that's clear. Then I assume that Cloud 1 is the red line. Is that right?

When the green line crosses the red line, does that mean that Cloud 2 (green line) is now on the bottom of the cloud?

Hi guys. I'm pretty new to Lux Algo (just bought it today) and I have a question. The btc-etch-scanner reported a buy signal today at 8 AM on the 4H chart. However, when I look at the chart I don't see a buy signal on BTC. I've set my sensitivity and agility to the settings recommended by the optibot. Are the scanners using something different?

That would depend which type of support/resistance 🙂 But in general you would just set an alert using 'Crossing', so that you are alerted when a cross occur between the price and the S/R, note however that this might trigger multiple alerts due to the noisy variations in the price.

There's no separate link for those indicators. They are integrated into the the tool. You just need to update the tool by refreshing tradingview, removing the tool and re-adding it to your chart. The new features will then be available in settings.

HA candles filter out noise present in regular candles, as a result the trend tracer/catcher will be less noisy, however this is done at the cost of increased lag, so its up to you to decide if you want to use HA instead of regular candles for these indicators, as a personal note I always use regular candles.

As I said we can't fix such issues since its related to the charting platform itself, we tried to get the error in order to test and see what could have been causing it but we couldn't notice it on our devices, we eventually reported the issue in the tradingview trello, thats often the best we can do in certain situations. you just need to go in the indicator settings, Sensitivity can be seen in the 'Basic settings' section while 'Agility' is in the advanced section (you need to scroll down). For changing the visual aspect of any element of the indicators you just need to go into the style settings 🙂

the repainting warning you are seeing is caused by the use of certain elements that can cause repainting under certain circumstances such as bar_index and barstate.islast, signals does not repaint under any circumstances. Autopilot does not change setings, but adjust the confirmation signal algorithm based on market dynamics.

I set up webhooks based on your signals.
When a signal comes, my terminal places sell / buy orders and a take profit grid. After the signal, the price usually moves in our direction by a few percent, so there is an opportunity to partially close in plus and move the stop loss to the first take profit.
I have webhooks configured in the terminal, a script is generated, I need to insert it into the field for entering a webhook message (under the url address), but this field is not in the settings.

One more question, I have the volatility indicator loaded now and see some options in the alert configuration for it, but they are a little bit cryptic - all I see is several plots, and a mainline - how would I go about determining the volatility state with this?

Unfortunately it isn't possible to automatically switch to the most recent version of an indicator, you would need to remove the indicator and reapply it for every chart you have.

Are you asking how to find right stocks to analyze? Most liquid one are always the best, week major stocks, you can also check the tradingview scanner to see the most liquid stocks.
