The old 'all in one alert conditions' were removed since the new all in one feature do the same thing, to use this feature you first need to go in the indicator settings, scroll down to the 'Alerts' section, and selected the conditions you want to be alerted for.

@dark hinge once you selected the conditions in the settings, create a new alert, select the indicator in the first 'condition' drop down menu and select 'Any alert() functions call' in the second drop down menu. Then create.

using the regular alert conditions is useful if you want to have them all using different settings, you can also set custom messages to them, which is not the case with the 'any alert() function call' condition. But if you dont need any of these things then using the all in one alerts will be much better for you, even more if you tend to update your alerts frequently.

make sur you are using 'once per bar close', if you did then please send a screenshoot of your alert to see where is the problem.

The alerts displayed in the forex scanner all use once per bar close, that is, you will be alerted at the opening of the next bar. This is the best way to set an alert, but you could set an alert using 'once per bar' to be alerted the first time a signal is triggered in a bar, however you might not see this trigerred signal at the close of the candle, which might be confusing (btw nice to see another french guy 🇫🇷 )

When getting an alert to my phone/ipad under "any alert function call", is there a way to specify which timeframe the alert is pinging on?

the alert will use the tf your current chart is using during the creation of the alert, so if you are on the 15 min tf and set an alert, the alert will always be based on the 15 min tf.

Yes, it shows in the alert log, but that would require me to unlock my phone, log into trading view, click chart and click log to see whether it's a 15 min or a 4 hour timeframe.

Prior to the update, all the info was into 1 message and a quick glance to my phone/ipad. Now, it requires me to click all the way to the alerts log.

The reason I got Lux is to make it easier for me to monitor the alerts and whether I needed to open the app based on the timeframe. Higher timeframe making it priority to check what's going vs the seriousness on a lower timeframe.

The previous all in one alerts are no longer there, these have been replaced with a new all in one alert system, you can get the same thing as the previous confirmation all in one by selecting all the confirmation conditions in the indicator settings and by creating a new alert with "any alert() function call"

@tepid sigil @south knoll here is a way to get the old "all in one" alerts, its less compact but work the same way, create a new alert, and use 'Any Confirmation', in the alert message field put Buy : {{plot("Buy")}} | Sell : {{plot("Sell")}} | Strong Buy: {{plot("Strong Buy")}} | Strong Sell : {{plot("Strong Sell")}} or Direction : {{plot("Buy")}},{{plot("Strong Buy")}} | Strong : {{plot("Strong Buy")}},{{plot("Strong Sell")}} for a more compact version, then you can add the placeholders you want. You can do the same with contrarians signals, just have the contrarian signal enabled in 'Signal Mode', I tested it, it works for me, I hope this help 🙂

We default settings of (12, 26) which many users find to work great, and we also have OptiBot which updates users on the best performing settings across all markets on the 5m, 15m, 30m, 1H, and 4H timeframes

Our automated Discord bots will never notify you on any signal until the candle has closed and confirmed it. If you're adding alerts for Lux signals in TradingView - make sure to select "Once per bar close".

kinda, the normal sell turn strong alert condition triggers an alert once a previous normal sell signal is considered strong, its based on the confirmation candle colors, if a candle is purple and then becomes red then a normal sell is said to have turned strong. you can always allow some headroom for your stoploss if (and only if) its ok with your current money management. In general a triggered stop loss can occur due to retracements, so one way to prevent it is to wait for the price to reach a specific level (it can be determined by a moving average, or by the eq-cloud), once the price reach this level you can follow the signal, in the following chart, a sell signal occuring at the bottom of the first impulse would have potentially trigerred a stop loss due to the retracement that comes next, waiting for the price to reach the EQ cloud to enter our position allows to prevent this.

@alpine storm you can also use the predictive ranges or reversal zones to have better timing, avoid selling when the price is near the lower zones, and avoid buying when near the upper zone, you can expect the price to go in the opposite direction, during a trending market this bounce could be a retracement or even a potential reversal. You can always experiment with other indicators, hope this helps 🙂

Optibot runs on the past 5000 candles at running time so will find the "best" settings over those 5000 candles. It's correct to say that during those prior 5000 candles those settings would have been slightly different

You'll notice between runs most of the settings change only small amounts

It is currently impossible to have custom messages for "any alert() function call", this was set by tradingview like that, but you can still use the classic alert conditions, I also sent you the link to the message where I explain how you can have an alert for a confirmation signal and have placeholders to tell you wether the signal is buy/sell and normal/strong. You dont need to go back to previous versions, nothing has been altered really, and you can still use the indicator like in the 3.0.0 @tepid sigil

Our automated Discord bots will never notify you on any signal until the candle has closed and confirmed it. If you're adding alerts for Lux signals in TradingView - make sure to select "Once per bar close".

sure thing, make sure to have two moving average on yr chart, and set the alert like the image. Use crossing up if you want to be alerted for crossovers, crossing down for crossunders.

yes you can, when creating an alert, in 'Alert Actions' click on 'more actions', you will have access to sounds options where you can enable and change the type of notification sound 🙂

I am afraid this is a tricky question, if market is ranging contrarian signals will often be superior to confirmation signals, but in general using contrarian signals to enter positions is a risky move, these might be used more effectively in order to exit trades. Some users have scalping strategies, try checking in #💬hangout , hope this helps.

it might be related to your browser settings, make sure you allow notifications from tradingview.

day trading refer to a frequency, you purchase and sell a security within one day. Lux indicators can be used for day trading but also for longer term trading like swing trading. All the tools can fit most trading frquency

there is a lot of strategies that could be made with the indicators, I would first recommend getting familiar with each tool, then keeping the one you feel more comfortable using. Some users also have swing trading strategies, you can test them using paper trading.

it was quarterly but i canceled the renewing subscription shortly after i got it and my tradingview name is stmfmatt
