You don't really need to setup optibot, all you need is to go into the optibot channels and look at the messages in there, each market has a specific embed, which contains various tickers with the optimized sensitivity and agility value :)

optibot can help set the indicator sensitivity and agility settings rapidly, it still has to be taken into account it is not indicative of future results but is convenient. You need to check the tf of interest by going to the 15m/30m/1h or 4h optibot channels, then look at the suggested settings in the ticker of interest, then you need to set them manually on tv.

pretty much, it gives the settings that generated the most returns over a window of 5000 bars, its just for setting up the signal settings more rapidly, or have a starting point, but we still encourage users to find the settings they like.

I dont think the once per minute alert will benefit someone, you could receive an alert caused by a specific movement but at the bar close you might not see a signal appearing, these kind of alert conditions trigger what some tv users call "ghost alerts", sticking to once per bar close is recommended.

Confirmation signals are affected by both the sensitivity and agility settings, increasing these two settings will allow the trader to take decisions regarding longer term price movements, however, agility is specifically designed to filter out signals occurring during ranging markets, with a higher value removing signals that occurred in ranging markets thus returning more strong signals as a result.

Although we provide suggested settings by default (12, 26) there are no "best settings" that we can mention because trading is very personal per asset and timeframe.

Our automated Discord bots will never notify you on any signal until the candle has closed and confirmed it. If you're adding alerts for Lux signals in TradingView - make sure to select "Once per bar close".

hello, anyone having some issues with tradingview alerts yesterday/today? Everything was working great but something's wrong. It's definitely tradingview issue, not LUX's but I figured I'd ask here

I'm playing around with a simple quick trade bot that takes alert, sends JSON to my webhook and executes trade through API (I know LUX is only tool for analysis help but I wanted to play with it a bit) but now the alerts aren't even triggering. Neither of those 2 signals on chart didn't trigger alert. Only buy is show on screen, I got identical sell alert setup. Any ideas?

no, the lux algo indicators are made of many tools, as for the signals they are only there to be used in conjunction with other indicators, trading them alone would not be the best idea, the closest thing we have to a backtest is optibot who optimize the confirmation signal settings, hope this help 🙂

The equalizer bands has been renamed to EQ cloud and can be found in the "indicator overlay" drop down menu, the support and resistances methods can be accessed through the "Support/Resistance" drop down menu in the settings :)
