Confirmation signals are affected by both the sensitivity and agility settings, increasing these two settings will allow the trader to take decisions regarding longer term price movements, however, agility is specifically designed to filter out signals occurring during ranging markets, with a higher value removing signals that occurred in ranging markets thus returning more strong signals as a result.

I pay for the premium gold membership on trading view and have lux algo premium. I have set up 200 out of 400 alerts for varius windows of times on different stocks. as of a week ago, all of a sudden when i try to add a new alert, it says that this alert is based on an indicator strategy and that it will alert different. I click continue anyway, but i later never recieve the alert for the stock i wanted the alert for. I tried changing the settings back to default but it still gives me that same message. Has anyone else ecperienced this issue and can help me resolve it real quick please?

The likely scenario here is your alerts are setup using different signal settings than what you currently are displaying. We’d suggest re-doing the alerts unless you can remember the specific settings you had when you set them, otherwise it would be a glitch with TradingView as Gecko mentioned. Please do not be disrespectful towards us or the group, we’re trying our best to help

Re-doing the alerts in this case is really the only highly likely solution, just be aware of the Sensitivity & Agility settings you are using, ensure it’s the correct signal mode you’re setting alerts for too and be displaying the same timeframe you’re setting the alerts on and it will work.

If there is actually an error in how the alerts work, sure we will give you a reward for finding a bug and for our mistake, however we’re very certain of the fix

Depending on the expiration date of the alert, i believe it’s 2 months on the free plan of TradingView, and on the paid plans you can have open ended alerts you don’t ever have to update

It also depends on if you want to change your settings for the alerts, if you want to do that - then you’d have to redo the alerts

So to get around this I created a new TradingView account so that I could have the Lux Algo indicators on the 2nd currency pair I want. However when I go to search and load the Lux Algo indicators on my 2nd chart they are locked. Any advice besides having to pay a monthly subscription to TradingView now? Thank you in advance. just speaking anecdotally and also as a programmer familiar with pine (not affiliated with lux) I have run into this same problem with other indicators and strategies before with trading view. it has nothing to do with lux. it has to do with how your alerts are set. I'm almost 100% positive. I've tested my own code and when this would occur I'd go back to realize my settings were off on my alerts in trading view, not pine.

Quick question for anybody using Predictive Range.. I am trading XAU/USD using the 30 min time frame (aka @ionic bramble strategy) and I noticed he has his “S/R Significance” at 2. I am also trading GBP/USD and USD/CHF on the 1 hour timeframe following his strategy as well. Has anybody found any success using the default value “I believe it’s 5” and if not what value has been performing relatively well?

I like using higher values of any indicator setting, because I am more interested by larger movements, but in the case of the predictive range, having higher values will allow to have a stronger range, less affected by certain price variations, that is the higher yr s/r significance, the larger price variations will need to be in order to get a new range predicted.

lowering the length value can help, such osc is not meant to trade large price variations, but more cylical ones. I know its a bit complicated but imo its very innovative

I think such oscillator would be more useful for traders doing cycle analysis, adjusting the length value to the dominant frequency period would give better results, while these are technical terms they must be used when it comes to cycles. You can always use such oscillator for spotting divergences with the price, and if you dont find an use to it then dont worry, you can use the other oscillators provided by the indicator.

A signal is confirmed only once the candle is closed. Meaning a signal could appear on your chart but is not confirmed until that candle is closed and the next candle has started.

Our automated Discord bots will never notify you on any signal until the candle has closed and confirmed it. If you're adding alerts for Lux signals in TradingView - make sure to select "Once per bar close".

A signal is confirmed only once the candle is closed. Meaning a signal could appear on your chart but is not confirmed until that candle is closed and the next candle has started.

Our automated Discord bots will never notify you on any signal until the candle has closed and confirmed it. If you're adding alerts for Lux signals in TradingView - make sure to select "Once per bar close".

I'm watching the NQ on a 30s with multiple settings (12,26 included). I had it to send an alert on bar close. It sent out a sell signal a minute ago, but it never painted a full signal. It popped up on the screen and then disappeared 3 times. So I should never have received a sell alert. I've noticed that several times by the way

I've contacted TV support a couple times before on this and it's happened in the last several weeks on different time frames. They told me because it may calculate a bit different on the back end than the front end that we see.

It's definitely not the script and lots of other pine programmer report these issues with alerts so it's really odd. I'll talk with alexgrover and get talking with tradingview about this though

Because the condition for an alert is totally identical to the condition for a label

Therefore if a candle closes with a condition being met this means the alert condition would also have been met

To update Lux Algo, refresh your browser / screen and remove it, add it back to your chart, and save your chart layout on TradingView.

If this didn't work, refresh your browser / TradingView mobile app and then remove/re-add Lux Algo Premium back to your chart and save your chart layout.

You should see v3.1 at the bottom right of your dashboard.
