Not sure why {{plot_20}} is evaluated from {{plot("SR4")}}? It shows correctly in the data pane

I’m also having problems with replay. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. Sometimes a browser refresh cures it, sometimes it doesn’t. But I agree, it’s essential that backtesting is done without being able to see ahead

But if you've developed a set of rules eg. Strong signal + oscillator is color; why do the future bars matter?

I can only speak from my perspective, but for example... if avoiding consolidation is a key part of a strategy, then those periods are really easy to spot if you can see ahead, but trickier when your ‘live’ and on the cusp of entering a period. It’s also very easy to be subconsciously influenced by what you see ahead, even if only in your peripheral vision. For me, backtesting (and training yourself to the rules of a new strat) needs be done in the same conditions as if live. That’s just my view anyway.

I always use a 15min tf, higher tf will make you less affected by frictional costs. Sensitivity is used to track movements of interest, if you want to trade larger price variations you will use higher values of sensitivity, agility allows to filter out signals occurring during ranging markets and can potentially help filter out false signals. Hi Lux, I’ve been having issues with signals in backtesting on and off for awhile. One issue is I’m often not receiving any alerts when in backtest mode. But a second problem is if I do receive them, they are completely different than normal mode. The first image I’ve attached shows the notifications in backtest mode and the second is when I am in normal. No other settings were changed.

Hi all. I am finding great success using Lux Algo as part of my trading strategy. I am stuck on a little item in Trading View. Can anyone suggest how I can fire an alert in Trading View when a Confirmation Signal moves from "Confirmation" to "Confirmation Strong". So for example I get a "Confirmation Buy" signal to fire but want to fire another alert if that moves from "Confirmation Buy" to "Confirmation Strong Buy"

Understood. Now, I am not a programmer (just a trader), but in my mind this would just be an option for alert. So, for example there is a dropdown when you are setting your alerts that allows for a "Confirmation Directional Alert". I agree flashing more green or red tabs on the chart could be annoying, but I feel it is critical to be able to setup these alerts. I am missing proper entry/exit's because of it.
Buy to Strong Buy (and the inverse)
Sell to Strong Sell (and the inverse)

Our automated Discord bots will never notify you on any signal until the candle has closed and confirmed it. If you're adding alerts for Lux signals in TradingView - make sure to select "Once per bar close".

Unfortunately not at the moment. TradingView only allows you to set an alert for one condition. You can set an alert when two moving averages cross because it is two indicators physically touching, creating a condition. But Lux can’t measure your other indicators, therefore TV doesn’t have a way to alert on it.

Still getting Calculation Errors on alerts on multiple pairs: even with "Force spread" on. Anything I should be looking at?

Occured on Oanda XAUUSD, USDCHF FXCM, US30 Oanda.

I've reported it a couple of times, happenned with other pairs in the past. One of the suggestions was tick "Force Run". Didn't happen for almost a week; but has since failed on those alerts.

Of note, they're all perpetual and errors have occured once triggered.

Nope, not implanted those yes. confirmation strong buy and confirmation strong sell are the only conditions for the alerts with the failures.

Secondly is there a 1 candle lag ? I was waiting for the candle close and the sell signal was appearing and disappearing. As soon as the candle closed the sell signal was formed on the previous candle not on the candle i was waiting to be closed.
