I would help here. I use a tool to autotrade signals (just enter long and exit long). I use Luxalgo S&O as indicator. Enter long is bullish confirmation + neo bullish and exit long is exit signal. In this example it entered at 09:05 (which is great) but never took the exit signals. Why is that? Please check attached images for more details

Hi there - as automation is usually done via 3rd party software myself and LuxAlgo are unfamiliar with, we cannot offer guidance as each software used can vary. Have you checked the alerts are set correctly in line with the guidance from the software you are using to automate your alerts?

I checked again. The 3rd party software did all right. It was Tradingview/Luxalgo that triggered too late. I saw that between 9-12 am there was multiple exit signals (x in chart) that not got triggered. What am I doing wrong in the alarm signals for exit long/sell?

Ensure you've created the exits correctly, try deleting and re-doing them to make sure. You have a lot of S&O toolkits on your chart so also ensure you are using the correct one for your built in 'X' exits too

Hi. I am using your s&o backtest to generate signals that are sent via webhook to okx for a signal bot. the current strategy can close for example a Trade long and reopen it immediately after because the conditions are still valid. The problem is that at okx both the sell order and the new buy order arrive at the exact same time but the latter actually arrives a fraction of a second earlier and thus generates a losing trade that corresponds to the cost of commissions. Is it not possible to integrate a timer into your backtest that x seconds (e.g., 2 or 3) must pass before a new Trade is executed?

The logic for making automated trades on Trading View is quite simple: triggered alert -> webhook -> 3rd party platform or exchange -> broker account.

You would need to connect your backtester alerts with a 3rd party platform that uses webhooks that can connect to your platform of choice. Unfortunately as these are 3rd parties, and there are quite a few of them out there, you would have to do your due diligence in selecting such. We can only guide you on any issues you may encounter with Trading View alerts using LuxAlgo toolkits. For further information on how alert messages can be customized on the Backtester, see docs: https://docs.luxalgo.com/docs/backtesters/alerts

If the alerts have been set up, but your orders are not getting through, there are a couple of areas you can look at:

• look in the Trading View alerts log on the exact message you are sending, then you can see whether there is anything wrong with it
• next I would recommend that you view the logs in your broker terminal to see if there is anything wrong with the message being sent over. Compare this message to the format the exchange expects.

In general we do not support automation issues unless there are issues with the alerts themselves.

• second the Trading View alert needs to be created using the Trading View alert dialog

However, these triggered signals are not being forwarded to a third party. When I try my open-source strategy with the exact same settings, the signals are being forwarded to a third party. Have a look at the message that is returned by Trading View in your alert log. It is very likely that it has an issue and cannot be read by the exchange. Normally when I look at these things I throw them on a JSON reader.

I resolved the issue myself. I'm sharing this information with you if anyone else experiences the same issue. First, the alert set in TradingView must be for the futures of the exchange being used. Second, TradingView and the exchange must also be connected. The Lux Algo strategy won't send signals until this is done.

What you are discussing are two separate ways you can trade.

• You can use the actual execution alerts from the Backtesters to alert you on taking the trade manually or by automation.
• The second part of your question is analyzing the chart manually and making a decision on when to enter/exit (without any Backtester executions). For manually analyzing, I would not be able to suggest how, or when to enter, this is totally up to you and your trading style.

If you are referring to the AI Assistant strategy, there are many strategies that suggest entries, in counter trend to some of the elements of the toolkits.
You will need to test on your own to see if this fits your style. If you dont particularly like these AI Strategies, you can start all over and prompt for a new conventional strategy.

From my tests, it looks like we only enter trades based on the Scripted strategy, and the other conditions (like Long condition and TP/SL) are ignored. I’d like to confirm if this is expected behavior, or if I might be doing something wrong.

Hi, I'm confused about how to interpret the Trend Strength in the Dashboard. The documentation says that it quantifies the strength of an underlying trend, and the cell color is based on the currently displayed signal. But the behavior I'm seeing on the chart doesn't quite match with that description.
It seems that when a new opposite signal appears, the Trend Strength changes color, and the percentage slowly starts to roll over in the opposite direction. So the indication you get is an 82% bearish trend that immediately turns into an 80% bullish trend. Theoretically possible, but this behavior is consistent any time that a new signal appears, which is implausible. It's not that significant if the percentage is low, but if it's high then the immediate change in color paired with the slow rollover in percentage gives the wrong impression of a complete and extreme reversal in trend, any time there's a new signal. Am I understanding this indicator wrong?

Nothing is 100% but If direction stays the same with strong strength signals in Bullish direction. HL and HH would work as entries I think.

Ahh i see the problem, in the replicate strategy it says to enable all the relevant features. You havent enabled Trend Tracer in the S&O toolkit, you have only got the Smart Trail ticked. This is causing the strategy to not work, as you haven't got all the elements the strategy is trying to use, activated. Enabling Trend Tracer causes the strategy to work 🤝

As i mentioned here: #🤝support message - the default alert option for any alert() is once per bar close and signals are only confirmed once the candle has closed. This is because if the candle has not closed, signals may appear and disappear by the time the candle closes as the signal may have not been confirmed at candle close. This eliminates false alerts.

No, Lucid can only be used if you use strategy scripting. Steps in strategy scripting isn't a feature as of now, so you'd have to use the Entry/Exit conditions in dropdowns. To check what externals are available, drop an S&O in there, enable Trend Catcher, and use Trend Catcher Up/Down as the external.

Hi, a few days ago I somehow got the PAC to appear on top of the Oscillator Matrix, to show CHoCH and BOC labels on the Hyperwave. I have no idea how I did that, it was by mistake and I got rid of it. But now I'm trying to recreate that and can't figure it out. I tried just adding an indicator on indicator by right clicking in the Oscillator Matrix and adding the PAC, it doesn't work. Does anyone know how to accomplish this?

Conditions are confirmed at candle close so the long/short entries are always the candle open after the candle close confirmed your long/short conditions. In the S&O backtester you can go onto the properties section then tick 'On Bar Close' and see if that works for you

As i say this can lead to false trades, for example: a bullish signal may appear on the active candle and you enter the trade but then when candle closes the bullish signal wasn't confirmed and it disappears. Then that means you've entered a bullish long without the signal actually being confirmed at candle close. This is why signals are confirmed at candle close.

@thorny moon I have tested couple of strategy for both BTC and XAU provided by the AI. But so far the drawdown can not be implemented. The drawdown in tradingviee back testing is coming very high and hence the strategy can not be useful that is provided by AI

I 'm confused does the refund only apply to Luxalgo purchases only or does it apply to all purchases in the luxalgo website. In last one week I tested atleast 10 strategy. None of them can be replicated in terms of drawrdown. The drawdown are so big that they can not be useful at all. That’s why i have asked to share any strategy that you got from AI and back tested in TradingView with good winrate and minimum drawdown.

I just would like to see if I should spend time on AI strategy or not. Because if AI strategy can not be replicated at all then no point spending time there

Hi team! I need some help with exit conditions. Currently, I'm entering on any bullish confirmation + some confluence conditions (smart trail, trend catcher, neo cloud).
And I want to exit on {confirmation_exits} - which should be same as bullish exits. Goal here is to replicate built in exits that I see from backtester.
Alert triggers properly for entry when all the conditions are met, but for exits - it uses any future arrows that appear even if it doesn't meet my original conditions.
So I'm exiting on the first x mark that appears after my entry and this doesn't necessarily match the built in exit logic from the backtester.
Any thoughts here? Hopefully this doesn't sound too confusing.

your S&O LUCID connector is wrong, you connected OSC Matrix LUCID connector there instead. change that to S&O LUCID and you will have trades on. because of that the backtester was missing important information -> no trades could have been exited

Hi, I'm trying to use the backtester, but for some reason it doesn't refresh the results when I change parameters in the settings. It evaluated once when I put in the scripted strategy, but if I change the number of bars to evaluate, or the backtest window from Bars to Date, or even Entire History, I just get a message "The report has been updated successfully", but nothing changes in the backtester panel itself.

This example image of non-completed AI strategies are not for you to replicate, as it does not provide the completed AI chat strategy for each.
You would need to actually prompt the AI on your own to have it fetch some current strategies for you to replicate.

There is some confusion here. Please note that {hyperwave} is only available in the Oscillator Matrix alert scripting. It cannot be used inside the backtesters and there are also some placeholders that cannot be used in the toolkits.
