I've been trying so many settings and I can't come near the picture in the manual for confirmation + exits. The picture shows near perfect entry and exit points. Mie have poor entry, some exits and only if they are with the trend.

Optimizing a chart for visual near perfection is a great goal, but doesnt always occur, as it is highly dependent on the price action of the asset symbol, and the chartings timeframe...You could experiment with different symbols and try some combinations that I have mentioned here....Remember, not al signals are meant to be taken blindly.....must have confluence as it pertains to your strategy....

Or are you soley relying on the indicators entry and exits? If so, please remember, all signals are not meant to be taking blindly, as we would need to create and optimize a strategy for ourselves that works around our own trading style.

Its not about you missing the trade, all these features are based on several factors, just like the actual signals, which are "independent" of the Trend Tracer, and "independent" from the Trend Catcher, etc. These are not meant to be taken blindly. Take a look at your SmartTrail at that time, What does it indicate? And where was price in relation to your Reversal Zones? We all need to develop and create a set of rules for ourselves that affords us the highest probability moving forward. Not all signals are meant to be taken "blindly." You are also on a very low timeframe as well, that does show more noise than a higher timeframed chart does. Also, I am not sure if you are trading within regular market hours or extended overnight hours. SO many factors that go into developing a strategy for ourselves. Please review these channels for some ideas in create a "sound" charting template that affords you the best and highest probability for your "own" trading style. #🧠core-lessons #📈must-watch

I’ve been playing around with my charts and found out that the candles need to be set to Logarithmic for proper/accurate trend lines, formations, etc. I tried it on the oscillator matix and it doesn’t work lol just want to make sure that it doesn’t need to be set to that too. I am running Lux algo 5.3, I don't want to upgrade to the new version, as through testing, I have found a profitable trade that I would like to keep running. But tradingview is not allowing new alarms on the old script. I am trying to make my own script to catch the buy/sell signals from lux. So far not been successful. When trying to get input from the old lux algo indicator, I can't seem to fetch the alert conditions. I really want to continue using 5.3, and I really hope you can help me with a solution, so I can setup new alarms on the old lux algo.

Do you mean the S&O your version is 5.3 while the current version is 6.1.6. .. I do not think the old version would have much impact based on alerts and there no updates on 5.3 and may have issues on your alerts when implementing them

TV allows you up to 20 plots if i am not wrong and usually you can access them via {plot_0} - {plot_20}

You can try and tell me. There are many plots that are used in an indicator that aren't available as external sources or in the data window. It's an option that is set when the plot is created, to include or not include in the data window and/or as an external source. Imagine if the available plots in an entire indicator are limited to 20, then that means very few lines boxes labels etc.

I just spent some time listing each and every plot number from 0-19 in a BT alert, and also used the available data in the data window. There are no values that are returned that are usable from the BTs as most are either null values or values that do not correspond to price on the chart.

Each timeframe has it own trend, independent of other timeframes. They each have their own market structure, they each have their own ebb and flow. If you are using a higher timeframe bias for a lower timeframe chart, then you wait until both timeframes are in confluence. You wait for the setup. Patience.

In theory, yes. But you also need to take into consideration of other factors of what price is doing on each timeframe as well. Need a bit more analyzation. Hope this makes sense. This is a subject concept that may fit your style.

No need for 2. Just do your settings for one, create your tv alert, then set up your settings for the second, and create the tv alert for that. Alerts are saved with the current settings and do not get updated.

In order for you to get just AI 3 alerts, you can only use the Custom alert function for this and use 3 in the AI classifier filter. In order for you to know if it's bull or bear, you need to add placeholders, so you cannot use the Trigger As Any alert function call because there is no way you can use placeholders for that. Use a text similar to the placeholder texts to determine if it's bull / bear: https://docs.luxalgo.com/luxalgo-toolkits/signals-overlays/alerts#using-placeholders-with-confirmationcontrarian-alerts

If your webhook cannot read the placeholder text, then you would have to create a bullish custom alert and a bearish custom alert as an alternative.

Hi LuxAlgo team….Unless the following is expected behavior, there might be a need for a fix? Here is the use case: 2 instances of S&O on a chart. Instance#1 signal sensitivity = 20, instance#2 signal sensitivity = 4. If you set candle coloring on instance #1 to [confirmation simple], and instance #2 to [none] the chart candles display as expected. However, if you set candle coloring on instance#1 to [confirmation gradient], and leave instance #2 at [none], the candles revert to standard colors (green up/red down). What is interesting, if you set instance #2 candle coloring to [confirmation gradient], and instance #1 candle colors to [none], it works fine and the gradient colors are displayed for the signal sensitivity of 4 for instance #2…can this be fixed to be able to see the gradient candles for the larger signal sensitivity of instance #1? Thank you.

This occurs on most indicators in general. It happens on non LuxAlgo indicators as well

Trying to understand how this triggered without seeing a bearish+ print.

Your custom alert uses Steps - the tricky thing about steps is that even if the bearish signal was quite some time ago, as long as the sequence is followed, then it will trigger the alert.

@thorny moon Wouldn't that step be broken if something outside of the step occurs? IE, I want a bearish + downtrend + downtrend. If I see an uptrend in the middle, wouldn't that nullify the sequence?

The previous version was different. It signaled 1 contract unless it had to close a postion and go opposite direction.

New version does 2 contracts all the time.

Hello @tawny jewel currently the system will ignore the bullish confirmation in the sequence you have inputted.

So in your case the system saw the bearish confirmation (1) then the TC (2) Ignored the changes in between and waited for the Neo cloud (3)

We are looking into the possibility of invalidating the steps if a condition occurs in-between the two. Where in this situation it would not alert because there are other conditions in-between the sequence you inputed. However at the moment it will ignore. Thank you for the feedback. Appreciate your patience as we develop these systems to meet users needs.

Can I give a suggestion to the staff…. Lux is really good but I believe would be even better if you could add a multitime frame dashboard…. So for example we could see trend on every time frame without any need to change time frame to see if trend is bullish or bearish…. Maybe Neo cloud could be used as trend indicator…. Just a suggestion if could be implemented

• this information is not possible to get into your alert as a plot point. you can of course manually encode it as part of your message, but that would mean making an alert for each of the numbers.

Theoretically I could have a bear+ print with 10 bull+ prints afterwards and so long as my steps 1, 2, 3 are met (regardless of those 10 prints) the alert will fire?
