I was only asking if it's possible to use individual or consolidated alerts I have setup as an input to a strategy I code using PineScript on TradingView. Benefits include I can use LuxAlgo alerts as conditions, and I can use then TradingView to backtest.

If it means I have to use another tool first to consolidate LuxAlgo alerts, and then from that tool push the alerts to PineScript / TradingView then that's fine too. But I was wondering if this is possible and if so how and what tool do I use?

@worldly cliff hello 👋🏻 From today I noticed a possible bug on Lux Signal&Overlay : when a signal appear then disappear and reappear again on the chart, I don’t receive the notification, and SL-TP levels remain from previous signal (inverted). After 2-3 minutes it fix itself, I receive the notification, signal correctly show on chart and SL-TP are placed on correct levels.

Yes this is normal - a signal can change at any time during the life of the candle, meaning it can appear and reappear, but is confirmed on bar close, where it then will not disappear.
The TP/SL will then adjust accordingly

@pearl viper there are many members here that are doing very well with Lux tools. My advice is to use a higher TF’s of 15m and above, and find the asset that moves the best with your strategy and settings. It really is good once you find the right combination for your template

Hello! I have been somewhat sad in trying to use both the PAC and the Overlays / indicators because they cant work together! Haha I love both of them but when you turn of coloring for the PAC it turns off coloring for the candles entirely and not just for that indicator 😂

You could try adding PAC first and disabling colouring, then adding S&O back on top

Hello all. How do you set a custom alert for when Trend Catcher switches BOTH Up or Down. Do you need to set 2 different alerts? One for UP (Bullish) and another for DOWN (Bearish) or can you combine it into ONE single alter?

You'd need two separate alerts, yep - currently you can alert for the change in direction, but for everytime it does it, up or down, you'd need two separate.
There are built in alerts for this, you don't need to use the custom alert creator, but you can 🤝

Hey Folks - having a strange issue with Signals & Overlays.

I've currently got 4 charts open in a single window in TV

However - this specific chart fails to show me confirmation gradient colored candles.

They other charts have the same settings as the screenshot - and they all seem to show the correct colouring. I have even removed bar colors from the PAC indicators, as well as tried shuffling the order of the indicators.

You want an alert for when the two lines cross/change direction, so you'd want 'Crossing'. Having Advanced Oscillator alerts is for the Advanced Oscillator, not the Stochastic 😅
You'd also want this alert on bar close, or you risk losing the signal/event

Hello. I am new to the indicator and have been playing around with the settings and watching videos. I know the signals are just guidelines and we mix that with other confluences. BUT. You guys have been using this indicator for quite some time. The signals indicator has Filet presets. Which of these presets have been found, through backtesting, to be the most accurate and on what timeframe? I cannot find any detail on that and there was a video that mentioned we could find this in the group here, but I do not see this anywhere. There must be some backtest data somewhere right, to guide us in more detail...or please point me to a vidoe or something that explains which settings have been found to be most accurate. Thanks.

Let’s say your using the 5M chart and want to trade a trending market.

Does the higher 10M timeframe dashboard, or lower 1M timeframe give you a bette read for using 5M timeframe?

Example 1:

• 1M: 0% trend strength
• 5M: 0% trend strength <—
• 10M: 80% trend strength

Example 2:

• 1M: 80% trend strength
• 5M: 0% trend strength <—
• 10M: 0% trend strength

I am asking because if the 5M trend strength is low, the market can still trend good.

No, not really - the dashboard displays the information for the current timeframe enabled, as it changes when you switch tf.

Yes, reset to defaults. Weird. It works on ALL other charts but this one. Also. This is the only chart I have connected to IBKR which is the account I trade off of. All other charts are not connected to IBKR.

Hey Logan. Still testing out some alerts to see what I like best. And I did notice that on the LuxAlgo Price Action Concepts. There isn't an option when editing the settings to set an alert for when the price is entering a Discount or Premium Zone. I also see that these zones have "Tops" and "Bottoms" to them. So. With that said. What is the best way to set an alert when the price has entered a Premium or Discount zone? I was hoping that this could be setup the same way as when the price enters an Order Block.

Well the top and bottom of the premium and discount zones are the tops and the bottoms of the bars that appear when you enable them.

Price does what it does. Indicators indicate what price did, indicators cannot predict future price movements. Up to us individuals to analyze and hypothesize where price could go. But in looking at your chart, there was an OB above and the overall trend bias for BTC is bearish. So in reality, I would personally only look for short positions.

If you want to use the custom alert creator, yes - though as there are built in alerts for the trend catcher up and down, you can just set two separate alerts rather than having two instances added

What timeframe are you backtesting on? False positives can be returned if you're trading particularly low tfs, we generally recommend 15m+
You can also experiment with our indicator overlays, which in conjunction with one another can provide extra confirmation, rather than just solely blindly following signals
