There is not a set standard. It all depends on what you want and your ability to read what will happen. These are tools. None is to be blindly followed. Smart trail is a support/resistance tool. Trend catcher is a trend tool, TP is a suggestion tool. It’s all up to you. The more you use them you will start figure out how to use them together to make informed decisions.

General concept of OB from "GOOGLING": An order block is an area where there has been a large concentration of limit orders waiting to be executed. Order blocks are identified on a chart by observing previous price action and looking for areas where the price experienced significant movement or sudden changes in direction.

If you want to know the Lux code on how Lux interprets this, then unfortunately, this is not possible for the PAC.

Many OB indicators have different interpretations and code formulas differ...

In general, the OB will be formed "after the fact..." as it needs several bars to form in order to interpret if an OB "has been" formed or not...

OB's is a concept, an idea, a theory, that price-action-market-structure traders often use within their analysis. There is no set calculated formula, as its all subjected to interpretation. Just like support and resistance, we all can draw our own S/R's and no 2 charts will be alike...

Just an opinion really....

And if it is not Binance, Im not sure if Lux would be able to accommodate all of the hundreds of broker data feeds that are available in TV...Since these are just alerts, and not precise entry signals, I would assume these alerts would be effective for your chart analysis anyway.

Why some order blocks are seen in one TF and not in another, whereas a few other order blocks display consistently across most of the TF? So my question is, does the consistent OB hold more weight than the inconsistent ones or not?

OB detection is very price and volume sensitive, so some may not appear on other timeframes

TradingView MTF behaviour can change if you are on an higher TF and are looking for the OB on a lower TF.

I have a suggestion that I think could help usability. A guy named Nathan Williams was on the Trading Nut podcast and shared his ICT tool that he developed, and I could see that UI he developed as an improvment possibly of the Lux Algo UI.

It also allows one to quickly place any time zone ICT level on any other time frame chart, with a click of a button on the UI

This is totally your call to be honest. But if your wanting to implement a top down analysis with higher TF’s, and your day trading vs swing, then using a combo of these could work for you: 4H, 1H, 15m

If you want to swing, maybe Daily, 4H, 1H

Basically this is all you and a balance between how precise an entry you want and how long you want to hold a position for higher TP’s

this situation happens occasionally and is seemingly the achilles heel of many of the strategies in backtester system

so we have a sell position but then a BOS signal appears implying the likelyhoold of a break out to the up side. It would be amazing if we could trigger a close sell when this signal appears after a sell order

I dont think there is an external vendor or service that has screeners specifically for Lux indicators. And we know there is no TV screener for Lux, as Lux is just one of many vendor partners with TV and there is no TV screeners for any partner indicators on TV. Basically, if you want Lux signals or screener, we have to be a member of Lux, there's no way around this really, to be honest...

Hi, for this chart, you have PAC and Signals/Overlay on same template. Which can be useful. So with all the signals from the Signals/Overlay, you can use PAC strategies to decide which alerts that would confirm your entry direct from your price action analysis….or just turn of the alerts or use a long term Signals/Overlay settings….you can also just use Signals/Overlay candle color instead of the alerts for your analysis. Also, try using the signal filter presets with the Signals/Overlays, this should definitely limit the alerts on your chart….

Thanks, Stack for your ideas, I mix these signals with PAC - CHOCH and CHOCH+ and found great success. This means I will only accept the buy/sell signal when there is a recent CHOCH happening and there is no OB on its way to some length. This way I can find some meaningful trades.

Wanna spend some time during the weekend to find the best TF vs Sensitivity so I don't get frequent alerts but also don't miss half of the move if I turn the sensitivity to 15-20.

It's fantastic work @feral lava to generate X for the exit, but only when it works rather than seeding a doubt when we expect a long move, and then this cross changes its mind in the next candle and continues in old direction as if nothing happens.

I understand that you cannot share the source cause as its proprietary, but can you guys please add another continuation signal when X is proven wrong after the second candle for us to re-enter?

Thanks -- yea it seems like a logical thing to add, however, it would certainly introduce major clutter on the chart + more false positives as a likely outcome

For example, what if it generated a continuation signal & then price reversed? There are always trade-offs. So we believe the current methodology is most efficient.

There can be up to 3 exit signals per 1 active confirmation signal as well. It's best to use as a factor in your analysis opposed to exact entry/exit every single time

Strong Low, Weak High ect are just the low and high levels of the most recent swing structures. When price breaks above or below them, these levels readjust accordingly. The 50% mid level of these areas is the equilibrium. High is Premium area and low is Discount area.

It's is the same price level, right? 2 different indicators, one free and one premium, uses different calculations with volume and orders at that level. Personally, the metrics strong low or weak low is insignificant to me, it is the actual price level. Just like structure levels high and lows. I use these as swing highs and swing lows. Keep it simple, try not to look too deep to cloud your head in analyzing a chart...

The free SMC and premium PAC are different in many ways, different data calculations for levels and metrics.....they are not the same indi

I want to be able to create 1 alert and use {{ACTION}} (or something) for the {{BUY}} and {{SELL}} placeholder where no matter what buy/sell signal is plotted. TradingView MTF behaviour can change if you are on an higher TF and are looking for the OB on a lower TF.
This is normal, it's best to look for orderblock on a timeframe that is higher than the one of your chart, I'd recommend going on the timeframe where you want your OB to appear
