Hey! I’m noticing the indications are a little off.. any way to tweek them? Also when I turned on TP and SL, uptop on the time frame bars three are red. When I goto the 15min. Good Morning guys! I'm getting tons of false positive orders on the backtesting due to the ADFN orders that usually happens around 8am est. These orders can't be filter by trading view and they are not active orders that one can get filled on. I think the best way to filter these and not have these false positives are by adding a only trade between a predefine time that the user can control. Looking back at 4000 trades, I would have love to get filled like these, but they are not realistic at all. Thanks! Let me know if filter can be added in a future release.

There is the swing points setting in the free version, Smart Money Concepts indicators, but I cannot find it in the paid/premium version..
What I found for now that there is some settings to turn on the HL HH LL LH for internal structure in the paid version (which that I don't really use them) but not on the the swing points

In order to show BOS/CHoCH, swing points need to be detected, so a slight variation in data could cause the swing detection method to return different results.
It's just the data differing on each ticker, this can happen 🤝

Hey I just found a glitch in TV, I don’t think it’s a Lux issue. I was changing my chart setting templates as I have a few saved for different colorings etc, and when I was switching between a few templates, that choch didn’t appear on some templates and did appear on most templates. Odd indeed

In my experience, sure other indi's could eliminate some false signals on the TF your watching, but on other TF's those same indi's may not work or miss the good entries. Because we back-fitted our charts to look nice. But moving forward is another story.

It took me a long time to come to terms that my strat does entail losses as well, it's part of the equation. Once I wrapped my head around that, then consistency is the norm, with trade management. Hope this makes sense

If you like the 5m TF, then take a look at the 1H or 15m TF for the trend bias. Example, instead of using your entry signals on the 5m TF, use them on a higher TF like 15m. If your rules trigger an entry on this 15m TF, then immediately go down to your 5m TF, and wait for the same rule triggers to fire off in the direction of the 15m TF.

So when you have a trigger entry on the 15m TF, you will typically wait for a retracement on the 5m TF and then it should fire off your entry triggers in the same direction of the 15m TF

The higher 15m TF will have an entry trigger based on the 15m structure. Then the 5m TF will have smaller structures within the 15m structures.

In my opinion, the higher the better.

Also the spreads get magnified the lower the TF you use. Meaning you won’t get that exact pin point entry, that you see on your lower TF chart. With the spread, you are already in the negative once you enter. Let’s say you have a 2.0 pip spread on the EURUSD. Once you enter, you are -2.0 pip on your trade. On a higher TF like the 1H, this -2.0 is nothing. But on a 5m TF, this hurts a bit as the 5m structures are much shorter versus a 1H structure. 5m structure wave could have a 5pip leg and a 1H could have a 30pip leg. So the -2.0 pip hurts on a 5m TF

I’m very sure that analyzing one particular date across a few pairs will not necessarily provide you the answer your looking for. Multi timeframes will always speak the same language on the same pair. If 1H is trending bullish, then the 15m is trending bullish in micro movements. Always, as it’s the same pair. Try to keep it simple.

Each pair has its own unique eb and flow.

Visually backtest a years worth of chart data on a pair. If it seems visually appealing to you, then watch and stare at this pair everyday, day in and day out. Learn this pair like there is no other pair. Concentrate on this pair. And then you will learn how it breathes in and out. Breathing in and out, meaning the breakout, the retracements, and the continuation of its own market structure…

3 legs in this structure, breakout, retracement, and continuation. Some pairs move about 10 pips on each leg, some pairs move about 25 pips per leg. This is what I mean that each pair has its own eb and flow. If you learn this for a particular pair, then you can create your own strat with TP and SL

OK sure, if you want to put both the Price Action Concepts and the Lux Signal/Overlay on same chart, you could do that. But remember, there are many features of each so if you turn all of these on for both, your chart may be too challenging to read. So maybe a combination of a few features of each may help you read the chart? Example, you could use the Trend Chaser, and Trend Catcher or the Smart Trail, with the Price action Concepts Order Blocks only. So this will give you a visual of the immediate trend with the Lux Signal/Overlay, and then you have areas/levels of importance with Price Action Concepts Order Block for TP and SL.

OR you can only turn on the Lux Signal/Overlay candle coloring, and then use most features of Price Action Concepts.

i added a new indicator today called peak activity levels and i watched a video about the indicator and the blue and red shades were never mixed in the video but on my charts the colors are mixed

try different TF's as there are different volume data for each particular TF. Some TF's will have the bins overlapped, like your screen shot, and some TF's will look like the videos that do not appear to be overlapped

In my opinion, the take away for this indicator is the actual levels itself, try changing the setting "Levels Color Mode" to "Relative." This will give you a color visual of each level line of buyer and seller volume, so you dont have to try to interpret the overlap bins on your own. This is the way I read it. Not sure if others use it differently....

This is the way I would use this, turn off histogram (red/blue bin areas), and change the levels to "relative."

I would like to suggest something very simple but useful. We all know the importance of the change in structure for the start of an uptrend and for that we use the Choch and Bos alerts. However, one that meets 2 conditions could be added to the list of alerts: bullish CHOCH or BOS, plus the price over VWAP. This alert meets the requirements for the start of an upward movement of a stock that had already made a run in previous days. I think that VWAP must necessarily be within the list of alerts that Lux Algo wisely programmed. I wish you all an excellent weekend.🚀

Hi Guys, I sometimes trade on 2m, or even 1m. BOS i.e. is a very important information for ICT trading. The dashbord showing the number of BOS however shows intervals as 15m... 1h...4h...1D .
I would propose to make the time intervals being adaptive by users.

Furthermore I would like to suggest that the size of letters of the print (BOS, CHoCH, etc..) is adaptable to large as well.

I think without the ability to back test these indicators, you are limiting its potential and overall user base. Not being able to run the system over large sets of data makes it very hard to see if it is profitable during certain market conditions. Not to mention feedback from master traders which would vastly improve your system. Looking at your back testing video online, I can already see there is plenty of room for improvement in how the back tester reads historical data. Love your work and love the indicators so far.

Price does what it wants. But to try to limit these fake outs, try to use higher time frame analysis

On one TF, price may not respect the current choch, but on a higher TF, price never made a choch.

This is just one way to increase your probability on your trigger entry rule.

Another way is to overlay the Lux Signals/Overlay and use Lux candle colors for trend direction, or you could add an oscillator like the Lux Ulti Stochastic.....etc

Hello, with the Trend catcher, and getting an alert, I don't get the alert of when it "Switches" until the close of the 3rd candle on the 5min TF even though I've selected the alert as "once per bar close" so it should alert me straight away once closed. Is there a reason for this close?

Also I noticed even when price makes a big move, it takes ages for the TC to change sometimes, even though price is obviously moving in opposite direction

Since the update 2.1.1 or 2 days before that, I no longer get any real signals since I no longer have to activate the checkbox for the alerts in the backtester. Therefore, only the main alerts, the seccond alerts that ultimately carry out the trades no longer come. I'm not the only one who has this problem and I haven't changed anything in corrnix. As Logan mentioned, we are on V6.0.1 - old version is gone forever. EQ cloud moved to the Legacy Overlays (so you still have this), the "Buy" and "Sell" are changed to symbols, which isn't a big deal.

Well, Micky for me it was more convenient the way it was and wish I could have maintained the previous version as it was meeting my needs as it was. I am not an advanced trader and I am new to using Lux Algo this year. It is a lot to figure out and it is not easy to have to chase a feature that use to be in a previous indicator now added to a separate indicator I am not using right now.

just sharing my experience.

What you can do is add the Legacy Overlays to your chart with the new Signals/Overlays, and save it as a template. And thats it, you will never have to add all the time when you open a chart, all you have to do is open the template with all your saved indicators...

I’m looking to backtest and set alerts. Buy on green, sell 50% on X, close and short on sell. Vice versa. If 2 X it closes 50% each time. If 3 or more it doesn’t pay attention to more then 2 X’s since we don’t have position. Is this possible.

Neither start/end time is right or wrong. Depends on your strategy on what start/end time it’s utilizes for previous days levels, and depends on the asset classification that may deem one start time more important than the other, ie forex, futures, options, spot market etc etc
