hello, can anyone help with this error? I have set up an alert for a bullish CHoCH on tradingview but tradingview is returning a Calculation error

I have set up the Alert in the price action settings. Then when I try to create the alert in TV under the condition of either the Price action with the CHoCH function or under the Stock symbol and then the CHoCH function

both are stopped automatically due to calculation errors

i reset back to default settings and tried it again and i got it to work

That one is the only one that gives you pattern detection im pretty sure, it detects all patterns and you can change its ability to detect bigger or smaller patterns on the chart. if it’s in a pattern you don’t like you can wait for it to detect another one lux algo also has a discord section that tells you different stocks that it’s detected patterns in and you can go and decide what you wanna do from that

You could do two alerts here separately no problem.

Set the indicator settings to Any Confirmation Buy / Tracer Up then set the alert (use a custom message to differentiate)

Then change the settings to Sell conditions & set another Filtered Signal Alert 🙂

The percentage to the right indicates how much the volume of an order block account for the total accumulated volume of all order blocks displayed on the chart of the same category

In this screen shot, the very bottom Internal Buy/Sell Activity horizontal bar has red and green beams in it, but the length of Red beam is longer than the Green beam. Does that mean bears are exhausted and bulls are in control, thus the price went up. If yes, then the second bottom horizontal bar with Red and Green beams, Green beam is longer than the Red beam, does that mean bulls are exhausted and bears are in control, if yes then why the price went up from the second horizontal bar, shouldnt it go down?

Hi Logan, I've read the documentation but there's no information about this there either. Take a look this for example. Here we have two PAC OBs and two SMC OBs. But as you can see they are at different levels and I would like to know how and why. Why do the PAC select a different candle than the SMC indicator and why does it sometime mark the levels using the entire wick, sometimes the entire candle and sometimes just parts of the wick. It also selects different parts of the wick in multiple examples.

When I go to the chart these is no Strong Confirmation Sell signal. I am using autopilot setting mode with a auto frequency long term. I have gone between short and mid term and still no Strong Confirmation Sell. I have the TV alert set to Once Per Bar Closed. I have also noticed this for a TV alert when I set to Trend Catcher Up or Down. I made sure all of the choices under the Any Alert Function are selected and also under the Filtered Alert section. I noticed most of the alert coming through none are showing on the chart. Please advise a bit frustrating since I am trading!

Paid oscilattors from a competing product. Dark red diamond means there is one bearish divergency either stoch/macd/rsi etc... Bright red means there is multiple divergencies from mutiple indicators at same place. So there is good chance it will break. And the other way around for the green for bullish divergency. Gold one would mean ALL of the indicators are in divergency. And its rarely seen.

My current setup is now this. The advanced from lux shows similar... But ye I use that as a confirmation

thats because it still running, when you add the indicator is optimise the setting over the most recent 500 bars, then it will carry on, continuously optimising, so it would be optimising over +500 bars, its a continuous optimisation. If you reset it it will use the most recent 500 bars again, its a normal behaviour also present in the previous toolkit 🙂

this is how continuous optimisation in backtesting works, its also not something we can really avoid. But to make it clearer:

Lets say you add the backtesting toolkit at 9am utc in the 1 min tf, using the most recent 500 bars the script will backtest all sensitivity settings within the user defined range, if you keep it going the script will still backtest the strategy for all sensitivity settings, it will not discard any previous result if a new bar appear, now lets say its 10am, 60 new bars have appeared since you ran the script, if you add the strategy again or make it recalculate, it will use the most recent 500 bars again, and go on from there. Thats what is meant with continuous optimisation, this allows to see the robustness of a strategy over time 🙂
