Actually, I think you can. As it is a filtering mechanism, you will have the original alerts on the chart. The filters serve as additional confluences, so filtering should remove 1 or more alerts.

You should still be able to backtest but you have to do the "filtering" yourself.

You would start by selecting the contrarian + exits in Signal Mode first.

I could use the "Greater Than Extremity" criteria but it I get alerts even if price is above red streak (before moving into blue streak). One way could be the price span of the current streak. I could compare that with the current market price to identify whether this alert has to do with blue streak of red streak.

That way, I can place very interesting spread out / ladder style / broken down orders instead of hoping for an ideal fill as well.

Our automated Discord bots will never notify you on any signal until the candle has closed and confirmed it. If you're adding alerts for Lux signals in TradingView - make sure to select "Once per bar close".

You can have a read through the article, but my conclusion is that trading view doesn't allow returning any indicator values unless it is the first indicator in the alert condition. Try it out for yourself to see.

not really possible based on the binary alerting logic as you are already too deep in the blue streak and it would not really mean anything in isolation. You will be notified when the current market price is above the streak (blue or red; so there is some noise but better than nothing)

but once per bar close would mean that you will continue to get alerts until price moves below the streak. So, in theory, you will get alerts, just not limited to that point.

When it is above blue streak, then you would ideally want to wait for more confluences but be "alert". Or, you could just enter if you have already narrowed it down by that time.

Again

You cannot just do hands-off trading unless you are willing to put in the leg work, e.g., build your abstracted system over what is provided. That part is very subjective because comfort level is subjective.

actually I'm dealing with a mix of these 2 things. The trigger is the "Entering Bearish S-OB", the values are from Premium/Discount blocks which may be slightly different of OB top/bottom. So my question (I think OB values have more interest than Premium ones, but it's my opinion)

I personally don't use premium and discount a lot myself, but I do know someone was asking about getting the values for Premium top and bottom to be returned via alert when Price crosses say top or bottom. I couldn't make that particular alert work in returning the values because the asset price had to be used in the Crossing condition.

Yes, that one will work because the Trading View alert requires that any plot values you want to return (if not built into Trading View) can only come from the indicator in the FIRST dropdown of your alert. So an alert which uses asset price as the first element in the condition would not.

As I recall, when there is a number then that means there are # successive BOS in the same direction, whether bullish or bearish. In order to change direction, it must break past the last swing point for that time frame.

Swing low for bearish choch, swing high for bullish choch.

If you turn on FVGs they use a couple of settings, mitigation and length. The length defines how many bars the fvg rectangle from the candle will extend. The mitigation method will dictate when the fvg will be considered filled and will then disappear.

Dear Gecko, I have a question:

Let's say gold price is 1920 and there is an order block at 1928.
The order block has metrics showwing 33% and the red bar in order block (Bearish) is larger or you say it is double in size than the green bar (Bullish) in order block.
Price come up to 1928 and touching 1928 where the order block is present.

What should I make an analysis that the price will go down after touching this order block or it may go up? (Red bar in orderblock is larger than green bar in that order block).
