I don't think it's difficult, since you know the price every time. Transfer it to a diagram.

However there are no accurate signals, the earlier you realize this the better you’ll be to trade. Learn to use PAC along with Premium, paper trade for atleast 2-3 months and lock in a strategy that works for you only then start with real money, just my advise based on experience

A simple strategy is to wait for a green bar on 5m and base the entry off of 1m buy signal ,exit when your TP hits, make sure 5m is in buy or green before talking an entry and the price need to be at or above VWAP for long holds or exit with 10-15c profit if it’s below VWAP, Volume plays a big role in this so do consider volume and price, again not a financial advice but just an idea, you need to weigh in your own analysis.

well thats not a great solution is it? yes alerts stopped working for Lux Algo but working for some other indicators I have... actually even Lux algo alerts working for some e.g. Trend Catcher alerts are working but the main Buy/Sell etc are not working for the same ticker / tf... this is not great and should not happen.. I know I can recreate them but whats the cause and shouldnt hapen in the first place and should be fixed plz... thanks!!

I agree it’s not ideal to delete and recreate the alerts, but glitches are part of any system, not sure how Lux can fix it if it’s an issue on TV side, I have found it to be effective so suggested, if you find a better solution then please do share

Paper trade to get used to any strategy, only after you are comfortable then use real money. Be patient and wait for the right setup, don’t rush in or rush out

I don't think there is any way to do it out of the box. When I check the data window, there isn't a data point for the color red or green itself but the text of the coordinates for trend catcher and tracer has the actual color that you need.

Hi! would it be possible to add a starting and ending time to the backtesting tool? I'm seeing a lot of false positive with the ADFN orders going through pre-market, specially at 8am. For example this AMZN sell order executed at the top of the 15min candle at 87.30, but there was never an live order executed higher than 86.63

If we could tell the backtesting to only take orders between 9:30am - 3:30pm that would eliminate these false positives and help with the strategy. thanks!!

You can code a script to check the time and return a value of 1 when it is the right time, then pop it in as an external condition.

For Lifetime I had seperatly the fullprice and Luxalgo-Team wanted send me the refund, but I got just a small part of that. Hi, I have been using the backtster then struggling a lot to implement what I found to be a good strategy on the LuxAlgo Premium. The configuration don't look the same. Do you have any video to explain how to implement a strategy and create alerts, etc?

Example: I don't see presets in the backtester, but I see counter trade mode. I am not sure if counter trade is the same as the contrarian preset. Also, is a separation between the bullish and bearish signals in the backtester, but not in the actual indicator.

Last question, how can I implement alerts that include Price Action Concepts with the signals from Premium?

I’ll take a stab at helping you out. Are you trying to automate a strategy from the backtesting system or just get alerts for the strategy?

The presets aren’t in the backtester at least as of now. It is still a beta product though.

I personally think the backtester needs to be able to use multiple external sources. If you use an external indicator for the buys and sells you can’t use a different one for take profits or stop losses.

Pretty much all the strategies I’ve seen or worked on with the backtester that were profitable are for short timeframe trades. On top of that a longer term profitable backtest is generally pretty filtered so they are small moves. If you’re not automating the buys and sells you might be missing most of the small move the backtester strategy was going for.

I think for now you would be better off setting up filtered alerts with LuxAlgo premium. Here’s a video to help with that.

Go back a couple bars from your screenshot and you would have seen an order block just below that was tested as support many times. It tried to break up but failed leaving that order block at 16,840. The gnarly candle tries to go down try and grab liquidity from the lower order block before getting rejected to the upside. Then go a handful of bars later and you get a clear test of resistance on the higher order block, a retracement then a breakout. I’m just learning SMC but this example looks pretty textbook.

I believe in the short I watched it stated if an order block i.e. had 80% buyers 20% sellers that the buyers may be exhausted and can probably be expected to not hold as support. I would review the LuxAlgo doc though.

Hi was watching this video on setting up some of the features in v5.0 but yes we are on 5.3. Sean Mack was talking about Hyper trend and lux profile I dont see those options when I select the tools kit in the bottom right hand corner.

I have enabled alerts on signals.
On alert tab > I am getting fake signals (which later doesnt show at the graph at all). Its 1 min graph.

There are good signals aswell, but like 30% of signals are fake (which dissapears later on the graph), and goes in wrong way, for example > I got signal on BTC that there is strong buy on alert tab > I go into chart, and there is no signal on the chart, and it goes into the wrong way.

Again, there is 70% signals, which is good (and it shows onto the chart, and it goes in good way).

So the question is: is it possible, to avoid those "fake signals".

You may want to redo the alert and set it to "Once upon bar close" and that will remove the "signals vanishing" concern that you mentioned. This candle color trouble happened once with me; I remember performing this sequence of action steps > Lux indicators - saving TV layout - Closing & reopening the browser - resetting TV to default chat settings - loading Lux indicators.

can depend on the mitigation method, using wick or average can mitigate order blocks more easily. It can have also overlapped with a more recent order block.

The way you can verify this is by looking at the last four digits after their Discord username. As said before our staff will never message first. ❤️
