@indigo cradle fixed TPs and SLs on backtesting. You have Buy SL, Buy TP, Sell TP and Sell SL. If I put in -5% on Buy SL does that mean it will exit if price hits -5% and what about Sell SL, should that be 5% or -5% - seeing as it is shorting

i ask as tests i am doing make no sense - if i select -5% in Buy SL and -5% in Sell SL it shows net profit of 0, avg trade 0 etc. but 160 closed trades lol

appears i am not the only one (see lifetime lobby) so think it is a bug. please can you fix!

at the moment due to limitations it is not based on entry price, so if you are trading stocks there can be a disparity, please also note that stop loss/take profit orders are rarely executed at the exact price they are set, only at the best one available.

What's the difference in using optibot versus the back test settings. Because when I see optibot and put those settings in the backtester the backtester always spits out different settings then optimize the button saying

You can try to cross out luxalgo and load the indicator again to see if its working after this. Be carefull all your settings are gone by this step 😉

You can try it by adding alert via alert tab in tradingview.
If this is not working you can add an alert filter to your LuxAlgo Premium indicator by itself and try it this way.

Downloading the custom back-testing into csv files seem it not be really compatible. I don't know if its a bug with version 1.1 or if its a bug with "The Optimiser - TradingView Strategies" chrome add-on

You know that if market was in decline you can expect reversal this time just like we had 250points reversal yesterday. 4pm - 4:30 UTC REVERSAL 100-150 POINTS - London exchange closes they trigger small reversal or total reversal to the daily open

The secret is the time - Europe Exchange closes - they often trigger reversal - or London exchange close they trigger reversal it has been like this for many years. Thanks Smack, remember I brought the topic of Alpha Trend+? Very good indicator that I'm pretty sure LuxAlgo can implement. Actually, it seems it already does. I've been comparing the 2 and they match at certain signals and not at others. Alpha Trend+ gives the impression of being veeery easy, you just follow the dots. I'm sure LuxAlgo can do that and "smash" the competitors easily. My friend bought that one and myself LuxAlgo and we're comparing each other.

Trend Catcher probably has a similar vibe to it & at times catches trends a lot earlier, and it’s not good to use 1 indicator alone as it may appear easy following the dots. We’ll probably release something with similar functionality for free:)

I found the BIG bug and proof why the backtesting not working on heikin Ashi candles and it gives false results.

so watch this:

Here are the two trades what I was watching live the whole time on my tradingview.
I marked with red lines where was the open price on trades based on on entry price

On results you can see much % the trades made

But when I refreshed the tradingview page, here is what happened

watch where the entry price moved (the side arrows) on both that trades and how far it is from red lines where is the real open price

and based on this the results as you can see is better because of better entry prices but that is false entries and exit. The price in real time was not there as you can see on pictures before

so it means that every one trade on backtest is false

because the prices of entries and exits isn't the real prices where the price was at that moment

Results with real entries will be much much different than results what we got now from backtesting system

Please dev of LUXALGO do something with that fast because it is big problem in backtesting system @indigo cradle

@indigo cradle love the new PAC 1.1 update. i have a suggestion though - can the next update have a standardized formatting? i am seeing most of the alerts are coming in in this format "MATICUSDTPERP15 Internal bullish order block mitigated ( 0.912, 0.9071)". which is {TICKER+timeframe} {alert-message} . and then we have the patterns showing up in this format "Double Bottom Pattern Detected | timeframe : 30 | TRBUSDTPERP" . can those be set to {TICKER+timeframe} {pattern-messages} ?

i m using some parser to separate the events, and those 2 formats conflict. just FYI - thought it would be something to fix the format in the next update 🙂 thanks

@feral lava i think i might have found a bug, all the "Equal Lows or Equal Highs" -> translate to Equal Highs alert messages only. everytime i check an Equal high formed and refer to chart, its an Equal Low shown instead. i had never received Equal lows formed messages entire day.
