While confluence his good, it's important to not use too much features either, most advanced analyst will avoid what is refered as multi colinearity, or the usage of indicators returning too similar information.

Using one of the oscillator is good enough, both might not be required here :)

NSE india index is also included in the optibot.... but by the time the optibot results of the day are published...the indian market is already closed & i am not able to capture the correct move.... what can be done ?

I was meant to say though optibot only optimizes one time a day but if I’m daytrading on 5m TF I just quickly bar-replay went though a ticker just now even within 1 day on 5m TF the dashboard optional sensitivity gave me 4 values already perhaps a new figure every several hours so dashboard way of optimizing should be the closest thing than optibot if daytrading

But what I don't quite understand is, was there a reason why we weren't given a way to have an extra autopilot mode that automatically uses the dashboard's optimal sensitivity? (I suppose the calculations for short-/mid-/long- term in autopilot are all different to how dashboard's optimal sensitivity is calculated or otherwise it would've been part of the autopilot already? and dashboard's optimal sensitivity doesn't require work like optibot to utilize private data to do backtesting on a daily basis - but more similar to autopilot but users inputting the value returned to the settings from time to time - somewhat like an autopilot to me?)

autopilot is just dynamic signals that adapt to price variations overtime using its own methodology

so in nature autopilot will be different from what you get with any other optimization

benefit is that you don’t have to adjust it at all, it’s adaptive

downside is that it’s not as customizable, it’s overall a really good option IMO, more advanced users choose this @elder flax

I'm looking into info to properly use institutional activity in the indicator as would you recommend a minimum TF that must at least be used for this metric to remain reasonably usable? (say at least 1m TF must be used)?

Using lower timeframes such as 1min might make the algorithm more sensitive to volume, which might lead to false positives, I would recommend using from 15min to 1h

also, institutional activity is a forecasting model, not the real activity, mate. that data is not easy to extract from tens of thousands of sources

ask first about all Lux tools, so you understand them better before integrating all in a real trading strategy. some are more useful than others and better connected to past data analysis. prediction models should not be a first tier decision making factors, but a second or a third one. Oscillators should be in the first tier

you need to identify S/R as well, look at price action a bit (sometimes it's that easy, just trade price action and dynamic), breakout zones, reversal zones, etc

here's an idea of a layout using some of them (my Lux toolset):

layer 1: Lux (plus others)
layer 2 - 3 x Oscillators
layer 3 - RSI, UO, Volatility (lux), volume, etc

just a suggestion

start making decisions from higher layer to lower ones

Layer 1 to suggest a trade, 2 and 3 to confirm
