Default settings can be considered appropriate for shorter term price variations, it of course also depends on the time frame you are using. Try adjusting the setting until you find that the oscillator reflect the price variations you want to trade.

Ups don’t understand how can it be resolved if I have to leave out sr settings? That would be a not so nice workaround. I have currently 90 alerts with sr mode enabled what to do? Don’t see that many calc errors though

If you don't see the errors it's ok but the alert just needs to be set with SR disabled; then you can use SR normally

I use mostly predictive ranges - have to see. Opening 90 charts turning off sr resetting alert and then turn on sr again is not something I would like to do. Would alert need to be deleted first?

@runic tulip do you have a screenshot of what issue you are talking about? Not sure what you mean by candles not changing colors. Also, the buy/sell signals are lagging indicators/confirmations. If a big candle shows it doesnt necessarily mean a buy or sell signal will appear

Would personally not recommend lower timeframes or anything sub 15m if you don't have past successes on LTF

from my observations these past few weeks, trading on lower timeframes in this type of market (dominated by fear and uncertainty, where technical analysis has become obsolete, any news that people understood as bad turn everything into a selloff) is not only risky, but most of the indicators and even your thoroughly tested strategies can and will only deceive you. because this is not a normal market, where for example Fibonacci retracement or trendlines are accurate most of the times.

and it's not just the bearish trend, but it's the opportunities that came with it for the whales, where money can dictate everything. we have now the perfect scenario for manipulative trading. unfortunately, it's not for us to do it, as we will never have the available funds

also, look at the stocks market and any other assets investors would be attracted to. that should answer the question about 5 to 30 min timeframes 🙂
on the other hand, lucky guesses and chance can indeed bring you considerable gains when BTC price stays in a range. problems with ranges is that, especially now, they can go either way (up or down) in a second.

Same here. I am looking for examples / channel of working trading bot strategies. I’ve seen the Lux YouTube video strategy examples, tried various automated strategies myself and the indicators look very powerful, but did not find a working automated strategy yet.

Automation is a totally different kettle of fish really. It's 10x harder than actually trading which is already hard enough 😅 if you're going to automate I'd suggest a DCA strat

Interesting. I agree that is a strong strategy, best maybe in the long term. Challenge is the volatility of the coins. Challenge with DCA to grow USD is that the profit of 10 winning trades with just the base order or one safety order can be whiped out with 1 trade that catched 4 safety trades (large deal volume) and still continues to move in the wrong direction (no bottom, other than to wait it out)

That's basically the role of the script to identify them. They are a term coined by us so there's not really a standard definition however the script description explains their role 🙂
Pivot Points High/Low, sometimes referred to as "Bar Count Reversals" allows highlighting market prices local tops and bottoms. This method compares the price value at a certain index within a user-specified window length and tests whether it is the highest ( pivot high) or lowest ( pivot low).
This method can return successive pivots of the same type, thus missing certain reversals, as such, we aimed to highlight those missed reversals and provide a level at their location to determine if they had any significant role to play. A zig-zag is additionally built, connecting regular pivots with missed reversals.

I noticed you cannot trigger alerts on that, but it's something I find very useful in order to know when a peak has been reached. can I use those (even if they're painted later, does not matter) to an alert?
