can someone help a noob out? I don't know if i'm doing it right but I'm trying to backtest a strategy. I'm recording the percentage gained and lost for each trade and i'm trying to figure out how much I gain after backtesting 100 times. Do i just add up all the percentages? Or do i take the total and divide? What's the formula? I can't even find the answer on google so I'm hoping someone in here that knows can tell me. Or is there an easier way to do this?

yes, i agree but i'm trying to calculate the total percentage increased over the 100 trades. It's a new concept to me but I learned people do it from all the youtube videos i've watched. I just don't know how they come up with their numbers...

Just like I said if you're winners were 50 % and your losers were 20 % you be 30% up on account that's not a percentage of how many winners or losers trade wise that's different and do you risk the same amount every time you trade and you take it off your balance so if I had 100,000 gbp account and i make 10,000 that's 10 percent

I have my strategy. I use legacy oscillator (but I have a look everyday to the advanced one). I use nadaraya envelope (free indicator) and I use the lux algo premium. That's a good example. It was on the bottom of nadaraya envelope, oversold in the oscillator, on the reversal zone. I bought it at 1.38 and sold at 1.80 for 30% profit

A signal is confirmed only once the candle is closed. Meaning a signal could appear on your chart but is not confirmed until that candle is closed and the next candle has started.

Our automated Discord bots will never notify you on any signal until the candle has closed and confirmed it. If you're adding alerts for Lux signals in TradingView - make sure to select "Once per bar close".

A signal is confirmed only once the candle is closed. Meaning a signal could appear on your chart but is not confirmed until that candle is closed and the next candle has started.

Our automated Discord bots will never notify you on any signal until the candle has closed and confirmed it. If you're adding alerts for Lux signals in TradingView - make sure to select "Once per bar close".

I trade mostly ES SP500....what settings for optibot5m would apply...I use the LUX Premium algo...also recommendations for a 1 min time frame as well...thanks

You could use SPX here

The 1m is not supported by optibot as we massively recommend against optimisating those timeframes
