Hey Lux team. Thanks for the hard work on the new release, but could you still have the auto confirmation button toggle? It made things so much easier especially with hundreds of tickers to update. Users who don’t like the auto confirmation can then use the recommended sensitivity in the dashboard. The auto confirmation toggle was 🔥

It also made it nearly possible to semi automate entries, and not to have to keep trawling through each ticker to change sensitivity. I know it could even be more precise, but it was working splendidly in my view

you would have various ways to do this, you can set one alert with 'Any Confirmation', in which case you will be alerted every time a confirmation signal trigger, or you can set individual alerts using 'confirmation buy', 'confirmation sell', confirmation strong buy' and 'confirmation strong sell'.

You should use 'once per bar close' 🙂

One being; let's say you see a signal on the 30m, you can then go down to the 5m to look for a nicer entry and retracement for the macro pattern

Or you can use them to confirm other things e.g. let's say you use reversal zones, if it bounces and you see a signal that can boost confidence

You can remove the indicator from your chart, and add it back from the invite only scripts (like you did the first time), if it doesn't work, remove the indicator from your chart, save the chart layout, log out, log in again and add the indicator back to your chart :)

Are you talking about the difference between optibot and the recommended sensitivity? Optibot optimize both sensitivity and agility, while the recommended sensitivity only optimize sensitivity, also they don't have the same look back, recommended sensitivity make use of 2000 bars while optibot make use of 5000 bars, both are different.

With varying market conditions, recommended sensitivity will change overtime. I’d say as some advice to not put too much emphasis on always having the perfect settings to set alerts, i find by just using the default or a setting that fits the history of that asset well it’s a lot simpler & less stressful with the same usability

first of all welcome to lux IcedT. If you want be profitable I would recommended developing your own trading strategy with 2-3 indicators that works well for you. After you have paper traded with just your new trading strategy and feel comfortable add lux to filter out the bad entries and exits. Then once you feel comfortable paper trading with your trading strategy and lux I would start to use real money. If you have any other questions I am more than happy to help answer them. 😃

Using it without a strategy will work very few times when they do that in my mind its more of like gambling for a 50/50 chance. Strategies will help give you a better win rate if used correctly. Also most of those people making money with just lux are most likely losing more money than they are making.

With big accounts you really dont even need more than what you mentioned

Perfect settings really do depend on the asset / timeframe / other tools you're using alonside the oscillator etc

it will rarely be 'optimal' to have the same sensitivity in every symbol, using optibot or the recommended sensitivity can prove to be useful, while using 'dominant cycle based confirmation signals' allows you to not have to change sensitivity everytime.

optibot is not based on pinescript, in fact pinescript would be unable to do what optibot does, else we would have added a larger number of supported symbols 🙂

Yeah optibot is an implementation in Python, it's sadly not possible in pinescript since it's compiled server side and is very very limited on run times

Using SPY ... looking at Optibot settings for SPY 15 min ... it tells me to use sensitivity of 21.
WTF? I have to check the Optibot for settings for every timeframe, every time I use a chart? I can't rely on the dashboard for the optimal setting?
And I'm afraid to ask this question: how often are the Optibot settings for sensitivity and agility updated?
I have 5 charts of SPY opened right now, with a total of probably 15 different panels of different timeframes for SPY.

I love the Lux tools .. but I'm afraid that manually changing settings to match Optibot is going to be a nightmare for me

Quite a simple answer with a few reasons:

The sensitivity on the dashboard is a micro backtest in pinescript only testing about 20% of the candles optibot tests.
The dashboard recommendations also only recommend sensitivity and not agility. It will recommend sensitivity based off the agility set.
So basically optibot backtests further and does it for both agility and sensitivity

Using either the dashboard recommendations or optibot are perfectly fine. Just optibot will test deeper and for both inputs

Optibot 5m runs daily

The others run monday and wednesday

and 1h/4h just once a week on monday

The type of backtesting optibot does is not possible in Pine and requires us to have dedicated servers with optimisation to run

So for users who's assets aren't supported we implemented a light weight, easy to use recommendation in the dash

im a beginner but personally, im using different timeframes... 5 or 15 mins for finding good entry price and other timeframes for finding the prove of signals... also u need to use more than Lux Algo to find good and profitable way... but with a good level of patience, there is always a way... i really enjoying trading and i think its really good hobby (maybe in the future, something, that will pay my bills)
