I got so jealous of Jacob being able to whisper them sweet nothings in my baby girl Quants ear only to find Micky getting to do whatever he want with her while I get left with TemuTagTeamQuant called the Claude/chatgpt combo....I cant believe she had the nerve to lock me out and make me find another way so after that I had to take a cold shower and make another indicator that is a project based on the study of the phenomena of divergence. RSI, CVD, Hidden and footprint Divergences. It is a work in progress where I studied on different ways to use the newer features in pinescript....like making synthetic footprints based on multiplles of the current time and keeping a composite Volume profile around for good measured moves on the auction map.

As I developed the idea...I realized that the divergences were getting marked 5 bars down the line...so that was a whole 10 mins on a 2m chart. So I introduced a class of provisional divergences that were developing and waiting for the confirmation of the next pivot....and they serve as an early wanting system

My first impression is that LuxAlgo is atrocious at creating indicators/strategies that involve market structure (so I suppose abstract). I provided drawings, chart examples, in depth explanations, and hosted a full-blown Q & A for LuxAlgo...complete fail. Using Openrouter AI with Claude 4.6 yields a much more robust and accurate product, even if it needs continual refinement until things are just right, atleast it was creating product as requested/described. Am I right or wrong in this? Does anyone have any pointers? I am not here to hate, I am simple stating the facts as they are currently. I have provided to LuxAlgo a completed indicator code using Claude 4.6 where the market structure is 95% accurate both before and after the Q & A and multiple refinement attempts. Complete fail. Seems unlikely that the 'invite only' indicators were created using the LuxAlgo AI agent. For clarification, I am not angry or trolling, just genuinely stating my experince so far and open to subject matter expertise.

What you want is for pinescript to do that in TradingView for you.

Quant is an advanced parser/interpreter calibrated and optimized for pinescript…and it’s trained on their library and more.

You can start a conversation with the code that you say is working for you and begin the refactoring process from there.

@old crow I have an issue with the Trend Catcher setting. I keep it at 5 and today for some reason the chart had to reload because it said "it ran out of memory" and now the Trend Catcher is showing this for today:

how do I fix it? I use the trend catcher setting a lot and just having one green line above does not help

The reason why the catcher at times, flatlines is due to a few combination of things that occur.
When the ticker has sudden price action movements on time based charts such as the minute charts (pumps/dumps), it affects all indicators, as indicators are reactive in real time. It takes additional real time candlestick data for the indicators algo to smooth out again. This affect some indicators more than others depending on the code script. This has improved with the past few updates, but a challenge to eliminate due to the nature of reactive indicators. Also this can be exacerbated with much lower timeframes such as minute bars, as these sudden pumps/dumps are a much larger back/forth movement on these lower TF candlesticks. Remember, when the catcher is flatline, the indicator is telling us, price action is ranging, it may not seem to be in a range to us, but to the algo is taking into consideration of the pump and dump within a few lower TF candles, it will define it as a range. There is a much techy reasoning behind this, but I am not a techy, LOL...hope this makes sense

I've been trading 6 years, and only recently just turned profitable.

I used to take around 25-50 trades per day on lower time frames.

Now I just wait until 1 hour after open, and take 1-3 trades per day based on the Initial Balance Levels.

Either trade the breakout, or reversal. NQ only.

There's a 97.5% chance that it will only breakout one side of the IB every day. So if it breaks out one side, it's very unlikely that it's going to retrace and break the other side. You can use this to your advantage.

There's a 65% chance that it won't retrace back past 50% of the IB Size.

If it breaks one side, wait for a pullback to 25% of the IB size, then put your stop at 50% or 100% of the IB. I usually enter with 4 contracts and take half profit at 1.5R, then let the rest ride to 2.5-3R, take another profit, then let the last one ride.

If there are multiple pullbacks I will exit and renter sometimes, but honestly, the less trades the better. One or two good trades with a set up like this every day and you'll be sweet.

Hmm, I made sure the prompt knew it was a strategy and uploaded it into TV as a strategy-script. The performance metric popped up but with no data. When I select a period to backtest in the Strategy Report it 'completes' but there is no data in the Strat Report. Have you made a video or anything implementing a strat into TV and successfully producing backtesting data, that I can learn from?

Ok, for futures market, strategies are sensitive to margin requirements, contracts, and capital.
You can manually adjust this on your own in the properties tab, or, ask Quant to make the changes so that it produces entries for the NQ

If you actually tell Quant that the strategy is not producing any results, and upload a chart, it will tell you because of the futures requirements and will adjust the code for you

its probably overkill...but chart patterns are cool. I still have a ways to go on the script...but the medium sized patterns(orange) can yield a different kind of trendline

honestly? I love Quant but she has expensive tastes so I upped my sub to pinefy. Quant is outstanding for the initial idea...but the more you develop/troubleshoot the idea...the faster the credits get consumed...but the speed of execution and the hit rate on literacy is the sticking point...and the fact that it can dial up Lux's free library and also read transcripts and images as well.

well with chatgpt interesting things happen with the inference engine. It likes to eat its own ass in a development cycle. it doesnt know how to stop and is actually cyncical if you bring it a quant made script. It can open code that will compile...but the prep and reinforcement take time...and even then it can fuck up. Its main benefit is that it won't lock you out and say : you need more credits or you are maxed out and you have to wait.

One thing that chatGpta did decent was leverage libraries and generate code label blocks in ascii for easier parsing.

again...totally celebrating Quant because I love it...but tools are tools and once you see what they are good at you know where to apply them and when to apply economy.

Iranian officials seem to have come to the conclusion that whenever the American president talks about imminent peace, that means that war is imminent.

The Iranians are well aware of these factors, and they also say that when the American troops invade Iran, that means Iranians will be on level ground with the Americans.
